1അതിന്റെ ശേഷം യേശു ഗലീലയില്‍ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു യെഹൂദ്യയില്‍ സഞ്ചരിപ്പാന്‍ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു.
1After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he wouldn’t walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2എന്നാല്‍ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരപ്പെരുനാള്‍ അടുത്തിരുന്നു.
2Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
3അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനീ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇവിടം വിട്ടു യെഹൂദ്യയിലേക്കു പോക.
3His brothers therefore said to him, “Depart from here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.
4പ്രസിദ്ധന്‍ ആകുവാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ആരും രഹസ്യത്തില്‍ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; നീ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ ലോകത്തിന്നു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
4For no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.”
5അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
5For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.
6യേശു അവരോടുഎന്റെ സമയം ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കോ എല്ലയ്പോഴും സമയം തന്നേ.
6Jesus therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
7നിങ്ങളെ പകെപ്പാന്‍ ലോകത്തിന്നു കഴിയുന്നതല്ല; എന്നാല്‍ അതിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ ദോഷമുള്ളവ എന്നു ഞാന്‍ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു അതു എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നു.
7 The world can’t hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
8നിങ്ങള്‍ പെരുനാളിന്നു പോകുവിന്‍ ; എന്റെ സമയം ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ഈ പെരുനാളിന്നു ഇപ്പോള്‍ പോകുന്നില്ല.
8 You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled.”
9ഇങ്ങനെ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഗലീലയില്‍ തന്നേ പാര്‍ത്തു.
9Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee.
10അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ പെരുനാളിന്നു പോയശേഷം അവനും പരസ്യമായിട്ടല്ല രഹസ്യത്തില്‍ എന്നപോലെ പോയി.
10But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
11എന്നാല്‍ യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ പെരുനാളില്‍അവന്‍ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു അവനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു.
11The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, “Where is he?”
12പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു വളരെ കുശുകുശുപ്പു ഉണ്ടായി; അവന്‍ നല്ലവന്‍ എന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവന്‍ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു.
12There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “Not so, but he leads the multitude astray.”
13എങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചിട്ടു ആരും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചില്ല
13Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14പെരുനാള്‍ പാതി കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു.
14But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
15വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ചെയ്യാത്ത ഇവന്‍ ശാസ്ത്രം അറിയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അറിയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
15The Jews therefore marveled, saying, “How does this man know letters, having never been educated?”
16യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ ഉപദേശം എന്റേതല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റേതത്രേ.
16Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
17അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഈ ഉപദേശം ദൈവത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതോ ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതോ എന്നു അറിയും.
17 If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.
18സ്വയമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നവന്‍ സ്വന്തമഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; തന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ മഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്‍ സത്യവാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; നീതികേടു അവനില്‍ ഇല്ല.
18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19മോശെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണം തന്നിട്ടില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളില്‍ ആരും ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നില്ല. നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
19 Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”
20അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരംനിനക്കു ഒരു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു; ആര്‍ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
20The multitude answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?”
21യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന്‍ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു; അതിങ്കല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുന്നു.
21Jesus answered them, “I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.
22മോശെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പരിച്ഛേദന നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കയാല്‍--അതു മോശെയുടെ കാലത്തല്ല പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തത്രെ തുടങ്ങിയതു--നിങ്ങള്‍ ശബ്ബത്തില്‍ മനുഷ്യനെ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിക്കുന്നു.
22 Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
23മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വരാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ ശബ്ബത്തിലും മനുഷ്യന്‍ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏലക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ശബ്ബത്തില്‍ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ മുഴുവനും സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതിനാല്‍ എന്നോടു ഈര്‍ഷ്യപ്പെടുന്നുവോ?
23 If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?
24കാഴ്ചപ്രകാരം വിധിക്കരുതു; നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വിധിപ്പിന്‍ .
24 Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
25യെരൂശലേമ്യരില്‍ ചിലര്‍അവര്‍ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഇവന്‍ അല്ലയോ?
25Therefore some of them of Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this he whom they seek to kill?
26അവന്‍ ധൈര്യത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവര്‍ അവനോടു ഒന്നും പറയുന്നില്ല; ഇവന്‍ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പ്രമാണികള്‍ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥമായി ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?
26Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?
27എങ്കിലും ഇവന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു; ക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോഴോ അവന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു ആരും അറികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from.”
28ആകയാല്‍ യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള്‍നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ എവിടെനിന്നെന്നും അറിയുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായിട്ടു വന്നവനല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്‍ സത്യവാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നിങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല.
28Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.
29ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ നിന്നു വന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അവന്‍ എന്നെ അയച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാന്‍ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
29 I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
30ആകയാല്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ അന്വേഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ നാഴിക വന്നിട്ടില്ലായ്കയാല്‍ ആരും അവന്റെ മേല്‍ കൈ വെച്ചില്ല.
30They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
31പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ പലരുംക്രിസ്തു വരുമ്പോള്‍ ഇവന്‍ ചെയ്തതില്‍ അധികം അടയാളം ചെയ്യുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
31But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, “When the Christ comes, he won’t do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?”
32പുരുഷാരം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ കുശുകുശുക്കുന്നു എന്നു പരീശന്മാര്‍ കേട്ടാറെ അവനെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും ചേവകരെ അയച്ചു.
32The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
33യേശുവോഞാന്‍ ഇനി കുറെനേരം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകുന്നു.
33Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.
34നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ലതാനും; ഞാന്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
34 You will seek me, and won’t find me; and where I am, you can’t come.”
35അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍നാം കണ്ടെത്താതവണ്ണം ഇവന്‍ എവിടേക്കു പോകുവാന്‍ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു? യവനന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ ചിതറിപ്പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോയി യവനരെ ഉപദേശിപ്പാന്‍ ഭാവമോ? നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും, എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ലതാനും; ഞാന്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു ഈ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില്‍ തമ്മില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
35The Jews therefore said among themselves, “Where will this man go that we won’t find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
36ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ മഹാദിനമായ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില്‍ യേശുനിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ദാഹിക്കുന്നവന്‍ എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു കുടിക്കട്ടെ.
36What is this word that he said, ‘You will seek me, and won’t find me; and where I am, you can’t come’? ”
37എന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉള്ളില്‍ നിന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു പറയുന്നതുപോലെ ജീവജലത്തിന്റെ നദികള്‍ ഒഴുകും എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
37Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
38അവന്‍ ഇതു തന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആകുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു; യേശു അന്നു തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലായ്കയാല്‍ ആത്മാവു വന്നിട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നു.
38 He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”
39പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ പലരും ആ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടുഇവന്‍ സാക്ഷാല്‍ ആ പ്രവാചകന്‍ ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
39But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.
40വേറെ ചിലര്‍ഇവന്‍ ക്രിസ്തു തന്നേ എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലര്‍ഗലീലയില്‍ നിന്നോ ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നതു? ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയില്‍ നിന്നും ദാവീദ് പാര്‍ത്ത ഗ്രാമമായ ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമില്‍നിന്നും ക്രിസ്തു വരുന്നു എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു പറയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.
40Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, “This is truly the prophet.”
41അങ്ങനെ പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.
41Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
42അവരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ആരും അവന്റെ മേല്‍ കൈവെച്ചില്ല.
42Hasn’t the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, 2 Samuel 7:12 and from Bethlehem, Micah 5:2 the village where David was?”
43ചേവകര്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും പരീശന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കല്‍ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുവരാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു
43So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.
44ഈ മനുഷ്യന്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആരും ഒരുനാളും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ചേവകര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
44Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
45പരീശന്മാര്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങളും തെറ്റിപ്പോയോ?
45The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why didn’t you bring him?”
46പ്രമാണികളില്‍ ആകട്ടെ പരീശന്മാരില്‍ ആകട്ടെ ആരെങ്കിലും അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
46The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this man!”
47ന്യായപ്രമാണം അറിയാത്ത പുരുഷാരമോ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
47The Pharisees therefore answered them, “You aren’t also led astray, are you?
48അവരില്‍ ഒരുത്തനായി, മുമ്പെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നിരുന്ന നിക്കൊദേമൊസ് അവരോടു
48Have any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?
49ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വാമൊഴി ആദ്യം കേട്ടു, അവന്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ലാതെ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായ പ്രമാണം അവനെ വിധിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
49But this multitude that doesn’t know the law is accursed.”
50അവര്‍ അവനോടുനീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനോ? പരിശോധിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഗലീലയില്‍ നിന്നു പ്രവാചകന്‍ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
50Nicodemus (he who came to him by night, being one of them) said to them,
51അങ്ങനെ ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ പോയി.
51“Does our law judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?”
52They answered him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee. See Isaiah 9:1 and Matthew 4:13-16. ”
53Everyone went to his own house,
