1യേശുവോ ഒലീവ് മലയിലേക്കു പോയി.
1but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2അതികാലത്തു അവന്‍ പിന്നെയും ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ചെന്നു; ജനം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു; അവന്‍ ഇരുന്നു അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍
2Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.
3ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും വ്യഭിചാരത്തില്‍ പിടിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു നടുവില്‍ നിറുത്തി അവനോടു
3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,
4ഗുരോ, ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ വ്യഭിചാരകര്‍മ്മത്തില്‍ തന്നേ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
4they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ കല്ലെറിയേണം എന്നു മോശെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില്‍ ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഇവളെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്തു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22 What then do you say about her?”
6ഇതു അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാന്‍ സംഗതി കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചതായിരുന്നു. യേശുവോ കുനിഞ്ഞു വിരല്‍കൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു എഴുതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
6They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7അവര്‍ അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ നിവിര്‍ന്നുനിങ്ങളില്‍ പാപമില്ലാത്തവന്‍ അവളെ ഒന്നാമതു കല്ലു എറിയട്ടെ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
7But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
8പിന്നെയും കുനിഞ്ഞു വിരല്‍കൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു എഴുതിക്കാണ്ടിരുന്നു.
8Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
9അവര്‍ അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു മനസ്സാക്ഷിയുടെ ആക്ഷേപം ഹേതുവായി മൂത്തവരും ഇളയവരും ഔരോരുത്തനായി വിട്ടുപോയി; യേശു മാത്രവും നടുവില്‍ നിലക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയും ശേഷിച്ചു.
9They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10യേശു നിവിര്‍ന്നു അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, അവര്‍ എവിടെ? നിനക്കു ആരും ശിക്ഷവിധിച്ചില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു
10Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
11ഇല്ല കര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്നു അവള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാനും നിനക്കു ശിക്ഷ വിധിക്കുന്നില്ലപോക, ഇനി പാപം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.)
11She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
12യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചുഞാന്‍ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു; എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഇരുളില്‍ നടക്കാതെ ജീവന്റെ വെളിച്ചമുള്ളവന്‍ ആകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
12Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Isaiah 60:1 He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13പരീശന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനീ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; നിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യമല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”
14യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന്‍ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞാലും എന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം ആകുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ എവിടെ നിന്നു വന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നും ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോ, ഞാന്‍ എവിടെ നിന്നു വന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല.
14Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.
15നിങ്ങള്‍ ജഡപ്രകാരം വിധിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ആരെയും വിധിക്കുന്നില്ല.
15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16ഞാന്‍ വിധിച്ചാലും ഞാന്‍ ഏകനല്ല, ഞാനും എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവും കൂടെയാകയാല്‍ എന്റെ വിധി സത്യമാകുന്നു.
16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യരുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
17 It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid. Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15
18ഞാന്‍ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.
18 I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
19അവര്‍ അവനോടുനിന്റെ പിതാവു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശുനിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ ആകട്ടെ എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ആകട്ടെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കില്‍ എന്റെ പിതാവിനെയും അറിയുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
19They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
20അവന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഭണ്ഡാരസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഈ വചനം പറഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ നാഴിക അതുവരെയും വന്നിട്ടില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ആരും അവനെ പിടിച്ചില്ല.
20Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21അവന്‍ പിന്നെയും അവരോടുഞാന്‍ പോകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപത്തില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ മരിക്കും; ഞാന്‍ പോകുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
21Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”
22ഞാന്‍ പോകുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വരുവാന്‍ കഴികയില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു പക്ഷേ തന്നെത്താന്‍ കൊല്ലുമോ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
22The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, that he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come?’ ”
23അവന്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ കീഴില്‍നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍, ഞാന്‍ മേലില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവന്‍ ; നിങ്ങള്‍ ഈ ലോകത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍, ഞാന്‍ ഈ ലോകത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവനല്ല.
23He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24ആകയാല്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ മരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന്‍ അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന്‍ എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളില്‍ മരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am or, I AM he, you will die in your sins.”
25അവര്‍ അവനോടുനീ ആര്‍ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശുആദിമുതല്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചുപോരുന്നതു തന്നേ.
25They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു വളരെ സംസാരിപ്പാനും വിധിപ്പാനും എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്‍ സത്യവാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; അവനോടു കേട്ടതു തന്നേ ഞാന്‍ ലോകത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”
27പിതാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആകുന്നു അവന്‍ തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നു അവര്‍ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.
27They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28ആകയാല്‍ യേശുനിങ്ങള്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ഉയര്‍ത്തിയശേഷം ഞാന്‍ തന്നേ അവന്‍ എന്നും ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായിട്ടു ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ പിതാവു എനിക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്നതു പോലെ ഇതു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അറിയും.
28Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.
29എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്‍ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന്‍ എല്ലായ്പോഴും അവന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്‍ എന്നെ ഏകനായി വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
30അവന്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പലരും അവനില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
30As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31തന്നില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ച യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു യേശുഎന്റെ വചനത്തില്‍ നിലനിലക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ വാസ്തവമായി എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരായി,
31Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32സത്യം അറികയും സത്യം നിങ്ങളെ സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Psalm 119:45
33അവര്‍ അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതി; ആര്‍ക്കും ഒരുനാളും ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള്‍ സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാര്‍ ആകും എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
33They answered him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free?’ ”
34അതിന്നു യേശുആമേന്‍ , ആമേന്‍ , ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുപാപം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍ എല്ലാം പാപത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്‍ ആകുന്നു.
34Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.
35ദാസന്‍ എന്നേക്കും വീട്ടില്‍ വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; പുത്രനോ എന്നേക്കും വസിക്കുന്നു.
35 A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.
36പുത്രന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരുത്തിയാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ സാക്ഷാല്‍ സ്വതന്ത്രര്‍ ആകും.
36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
37നിങ്ങള്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതി എന്നു ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ വചനത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങളില്‍ ഇടം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ നോക്കുന്നു.
37 I know that you are Abraham’s seed, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു ഞാന്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
38 I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
39അവര്‍ അവനോടുഅബ്രാഹാം ആകുന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മക്കള്‍ എങ്കില്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
39They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40എന്നാല്‍ ദൈവത്തോടു കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള സത്യം നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനായ എന്നെ നിങ്ങള്‍ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ നോക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അബ്രാഹാം ചെയ്തില്ലല്ലോ.
40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.
41നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവര്‍ അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്‍ പരസംഗത്താല്‍ ജനിച്ചവരല്ല; ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഒരു പിതാവേയുള്ളു; ദൈവം തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41 You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”
42യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു എങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു ഞാന്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ സ്വയമായി വന്നതല്ല, അവന്‍ എന്നെ അയച്ചതാകുന്നു.
42Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.
43എന്റെ ഭാഷണം നിങ്ങള്‍ ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? എന്റെ വചനം കേള്‍പ്പാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ.
43 Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.
44നിങ്ങള്‍ പിശാചെന്ന പിതാവിന്റെ മക്കള്‍; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ മോഹങ്ങളെ ചെയ്‍വാനും ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. അവന്‍ ആദിമുതല്‍ കുലപാതകന്‍ ആയിരുന്നു; അവനില്‍ സത്യം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തില്‍ നിലക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. അവന്‍ ഭോഷകു പറയുമ്പോള്‍ സ്വന്തത്തില്‍ നിന്നു എടുത്തു പറയുന്നു; അവന്‍ ഭോഷ്ക പറയുന്നവനും അതിന്റെ അപ്പനും ആകുന്നു.
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
45ഞാനോ സത്യം പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.
45 But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.
46നിങ്ങളില്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ബോധം വരുത്തുന്നു? ഞാന്‍ സത്യം പറയുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? ദൈവസന്തതിയായവന്‍ ദൈവവചനം കേള്‍ക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്‍ ദൈവസന്തതിയല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു കേള്‍ക്കുന്നില്ല.
46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനീ ഒരു ശമര്യന്‍ ; നിനക്കു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്നതു ശരിയല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”
48അതിന്നു യേശുഎനിക്കു ഭൂതമില്ല; ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിക്ക അത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു; നിങ്ങളോ എന്നെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.
48Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ മഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; അന്വേഷിക്കയും വിധിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍ ഒരുവന്‍ ഉണ്ടു.
49Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
50ആമേന്‍ , ആമേന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുഎന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഒരുനാളും മരണം കാണ്‍കയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
50 But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
51യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനിനക്കു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മനസ്സിലായി; അബ്രാഹാമും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മരിച്ചു; നീയോ എന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഒരുനാളും മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
51 Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”
52ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാമിനെക്കാള്‍ നീ വലിയവനോ? അവന്‍ മരിച്ചു, പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മരിച്ചു; നിന്നെത്തന്നെ നീ ആര്‍ ആക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു
52Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’
53ഞാന്‍ എന്നെത്തന്നെമഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയാല്‍ എന്റെ മഹത്വം ഏതുമില്ല; എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്റെ പിതാവു ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്നു.
53Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാനോ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു; അവനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഭോഷകുപറയുന്നവന്‍ ആകും; എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
54Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.
55നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം എന്റെ ദിവസം കാണും എന്നുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലസിച്ചു; അവന്‍ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.
56യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അവനോടുനിനക്കു അമ്പതു വയസ്സു ആയിട്ടില്ല; നീ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.”
57യേശു അവരോടുആമേന്‍ , ആമേന്‍ , ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുഅബ്രാഹാം ജനിച്ചതിന്നു മുമ്പേ ഞാന്‍ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
57The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
58അപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ എറിവാന്‍ കല്ലു എടുത്തു; യേശുവോ മറഞ്ഞു ദൈവാലയം വിട്ടു പോയി.
58Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM. or, I am ”
59Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.
