1അനന്തരം കര്‍ത്താവു വേറെ എഴുപതു പേരെ നിയമിച്ചു, താന്‍ ചെല്ലുവാനുള്ള ഔരോ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കും സ്ഥലത്തിലേക്കും അവരെ തനിക്കു മുമ്പായി ഈരണ്ടായി അയച്ചു, അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു
1Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him literally, “before his face” into every city and place, where he was about to come.
2കൊയ്ത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം; വേലക്കാരോ ചുരുക്കം; ആകയാല്‍ കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു തന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിന്നു വേലക്കാരെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അപേക്ഷിപ്പിന്‍ .
2Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.
3പോകുവിന്‍ ; ചെന്നായ്ക്കളുടെ നടുവില്‍ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു.
3 Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
4സഞ്ചിയും പൊക്കണവും ചെരിപ്പും എടുക്കരുതു; വഴിയില്‍ വെച്ചു ആരെയും വന്ദനം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു;
4 Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way.
5ഏതു വീട്ടില്‍ എങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല്‍ഈ വീട്ടിന്നു സമാധാനം എന്നു ആദ്യം പറവിന്‍
5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’
6അവിടെ ഒരു സമാധാനപുത്രന്‍ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ സമാധാനം അവന്മേല്‍ വസിക്കും; ഇല്ലെന്നുവരികിലോ നിങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോരും.
6 If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
7അവര്‍ തരുന്നതു തിന്നും കുടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ആ വീട്ടില്‍ തന്നേ പാര്‍പ്പിന്‍ ; വേലക്കാരന്‍ തന്റെ കൂലിക്കു യോഗ്യനല്ലോ; വീട്ടില്‍നിന്നു വീട്ടിലേക്കു മാറിപ്പോകരുതു.
7 Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.
8ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ വെക്കുന്നതു ഭക്ഷിപ്പിന്‍ . അതിലെ രോഗികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു സമീപിച്ചുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറവിന്‍ .
8 Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you.
9ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ അതിന്റെ തെരുക്കളില്‍ പോയി
9 Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലിന്നു പറ്റിയ പൊടിയും ഞങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കുടഞ്ഞേച്ചുപോകുന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ ദൈവരാജ്യം സമീപിച്ചുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ എന്നു പറവിന്‍ .
10 But into whatever city you enter, and they don’t receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11ആ പട്ടണത്തെക്കാള്‍ സൊദോമ്യര്‍ക്കും ആ നാളില്‍ സഹിക്കാവതാകും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
11 ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
12കോരസീനേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ബേത്ത് സയിദേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! നിങ്ങളില്‍ നടന്ന വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ സോരിലും സീദോനിലും നടന്നിരുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ അവര്‍ പണ്ടുതന്നേ രട്ടിലും വെണ്ണീറിലും ഇരുന്നു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുമായിരുന്നു.
12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
13എന്നാല്‍ ന്യായവിധിയില്‍ നിങ്ങളെക്കാള്‍ സോരിന്നും സീദോന്നും സഹിക്കാവതാകും.
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14നീയോ കഫര്‍ന്നഹൂമേ, സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തോളം ഉയര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുമോ? നീ പാതാളത്തോളം താണുപോകും.
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
15നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കുന്നവന്‍ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെ തള്ളുന്നവന്‍ എന്നെ തള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ തള്ളുന്നവന്‍ എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ തള്ളുന്നു.
15 You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. Hades is the lower realm of the dead, or Hell.
16ആ എഴുപതുപേര്‍ സന്തോഷത്തേടെ മടങ്ങിവന്നുകര്‍ത്താവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഭൂതങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കീഴടങ്ങുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;
16 Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
17അവന്‍ അവരോടുസാത്താന്‍ മിന്നല്‍പോലെ ആകാശത്തു നിന്നു വീഴുന്നതു ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടു.
17The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
18പാമ്പുകളെയും തേളുകളെയും ശത്രുവിന്റേ സകല ബലത്തെയും ചവിട്ടുവാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അധികാരം തരുന്നു; ഒന്നും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഒരിക്കലും ദോഷം വരുത്തുകയും ഇല്ല.
18He said to them, “I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.
19എങ്കിലും ഭൂതങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കീഴടങ്ങുന്നതിലല്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ പേര്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതിലത്രേ സന്തോഷിപ്പിന്‍ .
19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.
20ആ നാഴികയില്‍ അവന്‍ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവില്‍ ആനന്ദിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതുപിതാവേ, സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും കര്‍ത്താവായുള്ളോവേ, നീ ഇവ ജ്ഞാനികള്‍ക്കും വിവേകികള്‍ക്കും മറെച്ചു ശിശുക്കള്‍ക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു. അതേ, പിതാവേ, ഇങ്ങനെ നിനക്കു പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയല്ലോ.
20 Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
21എന്റെ പിതാവു സകലവും എങ്കല്‍ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. പുത്രന്‍ ഇന്നവന്‍ എന്നു പിതാവല്ലാതെ ആരും അറിയുന്നില്ല; പിതാവു ഇന്നവന്‍ എന്നു പുത്രനും പുത്രന്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനും അല്ലാതെ ആരും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
21In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
22പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞുനിങ്ങള്‍ കാണുന്നതിനെ കാണുന്ന കണ്ണു ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളതു.
22Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”
23നിങ്ങള്‍ കാണുന്നതിനെ കാണ്മാന്‍ ഏറിയ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടും കണ്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള്‍ കേള്‍ക്കുന്നതിനെ കേള്‍പ്പാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടും കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പ്രത്യേകം പറഞ്ഞു.
23Turning to the disciples, he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see,
24അനന്തരം ഒരു ന്യായശാസ്ത്രി എഴുന്നേറ്റുഗുരോ, ഞാന്‍ നിത്യജീവന്നു അവകാശി ആയിത്തീരുവാന്‍ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.
24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.”
25അവന്‍ അവനോടുന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില്‍ എന്തു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എങ്ങനെ വായിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന്‍
25Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്‍ത്താവിനെ നീ പൂര്‍ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്‍ണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂര്‍ണ്ണശക്തിയോടും പൂര്‍ണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നും കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നും തന്നെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
26He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
27അവന്‍ അവനോടുനീ പറഞ്ഞ ഉത്തരം ശരി; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്ക; എന്നാല്‍ നീ ജീവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; Deuteronomy 6:5 and your neighbor as yourself.” Leviticus 19:18
28അവന്‍ തന്നെത്താന്‍ നീതീകരിപ്പാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടു യേശുവിനോടുഎന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു
28He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
29ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ നിന്നു യെരീഹോവിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ അകപ്പെട്ടു; അവര്‍ അവനെ വസ്ത്രം അഴിച്ചു മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു അര്‍ദ്ധപ്രാണനായി വിട്ടേച്ചു പോയി.
29But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
30ആ വഴിയായി യദൃച്ഛയാ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്‍ വന്നു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മാറി കടന്നു പോയി.
30Jesus answered, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഒരു ലേവ്യനും ആ സ്ഥലത്തില്‍ എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മാറി കടന്നുപോയി.
31 By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32ഒരു ശമര്യക്കാരനോ വഴിപോകയില്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അരികെ ചെന്നു
32 In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33എണ്ണയും വീഞ്ഞും പകര്‍ന്നു അവന്റെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടി അവനെ തന്റെ വാഹനത്തില്‍ കയറ്റി വഴിയമ്പലത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി രക്ഷചെയ്തു.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,
34പിറ്റെന്നാള്‍ അവന്‍ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ രണ്ടു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് എടുത്തു വഴിയമ്പലക്കാരന്നു കൊടുത്തുഇവനെ രക്ഷ ചെയ്യേണം; അധികം വല്ലതും ചെലവിട്ടാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ മടങ്ങിവരുമ്പോള്‍ തന്നു കൊള്ളാം എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
34 came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ അകപ്പെട്ടവന്നു ഈ മൂവരില്‍ ഏവന്‍ കൂട്ടുകാരനായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു എന്നു നിനക്കു തോന്നുന്നു?
35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’
36അവനോടു കരുണ കാണിച്ചവന്‍ എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടു നീയും പോയി അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
36 Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”
37പിന്നെ അവര്‍ യാത്രപോകയില്‍ അവന്‍ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ എത്തി; മാര്‍ത്താ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീ അവനെ വീട്ടില്‍ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.
37He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
38അവള്‍ക്കു മറിയ എന്ന ഒരു സഹോദരി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ കാല്‍ക്കല്‍ ഇരുന്നു അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
38It happened as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39മാര്‍ത്തയോ വളരെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാല്‍ കുഴങ്ങീട്ടു അടുക്കെവന്നുകര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹോദരി ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു എന്നെ തനിച്ചു വിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ നിനക്കു വിചാരമില്ലയോ? എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാന്‍ അവളോടു കല്പിച്ചാലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
39She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40കര്‍ത്താവു അവളോടുമാര്‍ത്തയേ, മാര്‍ത്തയേ, നീ പലതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി വിചാരപ്പെട്ടും മനം കലങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
40But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”
41എന്നാല്‍ അല്പമേ വേണ്ടു; അല്ല, ഒന്നു മതി. മറിയ നല്ല അംശം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ആരും അവളോടു അപഹരിക്കയുമില്ല.
41Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
42 but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
