¹അവന്‍ പന്തിരുവരെ അടുക്കല്‍ വിളിച്ചു, സകല ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെമേലും വ്യാധികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുവാനും അവര്‍ക്കും ശക്തിയും അധികാരവും കൊടുത്തു;

¹He called the twelve TR reads “his twelve disciples” instead of “the twelve” together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

²ദൈവരാജ്യം പ്രസംഗിപ്പാനും രോഗികള്‍ക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തുവാനും അവരെ അയച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു

²He sent them forth to preach the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

³വഴിക്കു വടിയും പൊക്കണവും അപ്പവും പണവും ഒന്നും എടുക്കരുതു; രണ്ടു ഉടുപ്പും അരുതു.

³He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey—neither staffs, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats apiece.

⁴നിങ്ങള്‍ ഏതു വീട്ടില്‍ എങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല്‍ അവിടം വിട്ടുപോകുംവരെ അവിടെത്തന്നെ പാര്‍പ്പിന്‍ .

⁴ Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.

⁵ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാതിരുന്നാല്‍ ആ പട്ടണം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലില്‍നിന്നു പൊടി തട്ടിക്കളവിന്‍ .

⁵ As many as don’t receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”

⁶അവര്‍ പുറപ്പെട്ടു എങ്ങും സുവിശേഷിച്ചും രോഗികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയും കൊണ്ടു ഊര്‍തോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

⁶They departed, and went throughout the villages, preaching the Good News, and healing everywhere.

⁷സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം ഇടപ്രഭുവായ ഹെരോദാവു കേട്ടു. യോഹന്നാന്‍ മരിച്ചവരില്‍ നിന്നു ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു ചിലരും ഏലീയാവു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു ചിലരും പുരാതനപ്രവാചകന്മാരില്‍ ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറക കൊണ്ടു ഹെരോദാവു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു

⁷Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him; and he was very perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,

⁸യോഹന്നാനെ ഞാന്‍ ശിരഃഛേദം ചെയ്തു; എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളതു കേള്‍ക്കുന്ന ഇവന്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ കാണ്മാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു.

⁸and by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.

⁹അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര്‍ മടങ്ങിവന്നിട്ടു തങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു. അവന്‍ അവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ബേത്ത്സയിദ എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

⁹Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this, about whom I hear such things?” He sought to see him.

¹⁰അതു പുരുഷാരം അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ പിന്തുടര്‍ന്നു. അവന്‍ അവരെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കയും രോഗശാന്തി വേണ്ടിയവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

¹⁰The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them, and withdrew apart to a deserted place of a city called Bethsaida.

¹¹പകല്‍ കഴിവാറായപ്പോള്‍ പന്തിരുവര്‍ അടുത്തുവന്നു അവനോടുഇവിടെ നാം മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ ആയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരം ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ഊരുകളിലും കുടികളിലും പോയി രാത്രി പാര്‍പ്പാനും ആഹാരം വാങ്ങുവാനും വേണ്ടി അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹¹But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, and spoke to them of the Kingdom of God, and he cured those who needed healing.

¹²അവന്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ തന്നേ അവര്‍ക്കും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന്‍ കൊടുപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നുഅഞ്ചപ്പവും രണ്ടുമീനും അല്ലാതെ അധികം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കല്‍ ഇല്ല; ഞങ്ങള്‍ പോയി ഈ സകലജനത്തിന്നും വേണ്ടി ഭോജ്യങ്ങള്‍ കൊള്ളേണമോ എന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

¹²The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

¹³ഏകദേശം അയ്യായിരം പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ അവര്‍ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുഅവരെ അമ്പതു വീതം പന്തിപന്തിയായി ഇരുത്തുവിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹³But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people.”

¹⁴അവര്‍ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എല്ലാവരെയും ഇരുത്തി.

¹⁴For they were about five thousand men. He said to his disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

¹⁵അവന്‍ ആ അഞ്ചു അപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കി അവയെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു വിളമ്പുവാന്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ കൊടുത്തു.

¹⁵They did so, and made them all sit down.

¹⁶എല്ലാവരും തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി, ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട എടുത്തു.

¹⁶He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.

¹⁷അവന്‍ തനിച്ചു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്‍ അവരോടുപുരുഷാരം എന്നെ ആരെന്നു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹⁷They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.

¹⁸യോഹന്നാന്‍ സ്നാപകന്‍ എന്നും ചിലര്‍ ഏലീയാവു എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലര്‍ പുരാതന പ്രവാചകന്മാരില്‍ ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നും പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁸It happened, as he was praying alone, that the disciples were with him, and he asked them, “Who do the multitudes say that I am?”

¹⁹അവന്‍ അവരോടുഎന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ ആരെന്നു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുദൈവത്തിന്റെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁹They answered, “‘John the Baptizer,’ but others say, ‘Elijah,’ and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again.”

²⁰ഇതു ആരോടും പറയരുതെന്നു അവന്‍ അവരോടു അമര്‍ച്ചയായിട്ടു കല്പിച്ചു.

²⁰He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

²¹മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ പലതും സഹിക്കയും മൂപ്പന്മാര്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര്‍ ശാസ്ത്രികള്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ അവനെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലുകയും അവന്‍ മൂന്നാം നാള്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കയും വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²¹But he warned them, and commanded them to tell this to no one,

²²പിന്നെ അവന്‍ എല്ലാവരോടും പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്നെ അനുഗമിപ്പാന്‍ ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല്‍ അവന്‍ തന്നെത്താന്‍ നിഷേധിച്ചു നാള്‍തോറും തന്റെ ക്രൂശ് എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ.

²²saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.”

²³ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല്‍ അതിനെ കളയും; എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ കളഞ്ഞാലോ അതിനെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

²³He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, TR, NU add “daily” and follow me.

²⁴ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ സര്‍വ്വലോകവും നേടീട്ടു തന്നെത്താന്‍ നഷ്ടമാക്കിക്കളകയോ ചേതം വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്താന്‍ അവന്നു എന്തു പ്രയോജനം?

²⁴ For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

²⁵ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെയും എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നാണിച്ചാല്‍ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ തന്റെയും പിതാവിന്റെയും വിശുദ്ധദൂതന്മാരുടെയും മഹത്വത്തില്‍ വരുമ്പോള്‍ നാണിക്കും.

²⁵ For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?

²⁶എന്നാല്‍ ദൈവരാജ്യം കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവര്‍ ചിലര്‍ ഇവിടെ നില്‍ക്കുന്നവരില്‍ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

²⁶ For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.

²⁷ഈ വാക്കുകളെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഏകദേശം എട്ടുനാള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ പത്രൊസിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിപ്പാന്‍ മലയില്‍ കയറിപ്പോയി.

²⁷ But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here, who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Kingdom of God.”

²⁸അവന്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മുഖത്തിന്റെ ഭാവം മാറി, ഉടുപ്പു മിന്നുന്ന വെള്ളയായും തിര്‍ന്നു.

²⁸It happened about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.

²⁹രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ അവനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു; മോശെയും ഏലീയാവും തന്നേ.

²⁹As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.

³⁰അവര്‍ തേജസ്സില്‍ പ്രത്യക്ഷരായി അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ പ്രാപിപ്പാനുള്ള നിര്യാണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചു.

³⁰Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

³¹പത്രൊസും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും ഉറക്കത്താല്‍ ഭാരപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു; ഉണര്‍ന്നശേഷം അവന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെയും അവനോടു കൂടെ നിലക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരെയും കണ്ടു.

³¹who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, literally, “exodus” which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.

³²അവര്‍ അവനെ വിട്ടുപിരിയുമ്പോള്‍ പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുഗുരോ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങള്‍ മൂന്നു കുടില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ , ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു താന്‍ പറയുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അറിയാതെ പറഞ്ഞു.

³²Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

³³ഇതു പറയുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെമേല്‍ നിഴലിട്ടു. അവര്‍ മേഘത്തില്‍ ആയപ്പോള്‍ പേടിച്ചു.

³³It happened, as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he said.

³⁴മേഘത്തില്‍നിന്നുഇവന്‍ എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രന്‍ , ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായി.

³⁴While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.

³⁵ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായ നേരത്തു യേശുവിനെ തനിയേ കണ്ടു; അവര്‍ കണ്ടതു ഒന്നും ആ നാളുകളില്‍ ആരോടും അറിയിക്കാതെ മൌനമായിരുന്നു.

³⁵A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him!”

³⁶പിറ്റെന്നാള്‍ അവര്‍ മലയില്‍ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോള്‍ ബഹുപുരുഷാരം അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു.

³⁶When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.

³⁷കൂട്ടത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഒരാള്‍ നിലവിളിച്ചുഗുരോ, എന്റെ മകനെ കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ എനിക്കു ഏകജാതന്‍ ആകുന്നു.

³⁷It happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met him.

³⁸ഒരാത്മാവു അവനെ പിടിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്‍ പൊടുന്നനവേ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവനെ നുരെപ്പിച്ചു പിടെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവനെ ഞെരിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രയാസത്തോടെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്നു.

³⁸Behold, a man from the crowd called out, saying, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.

³⁹അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന്‍ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവര്‍ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³⁹Behold, a spirit takes him, he suddenly cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams, and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.

⁴⁰അതിന്നു യേശുഅവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? നിന്റെ മകനെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു;

⁴⁰I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they couldn’t.”

⁴¹അവന്‍ വരുമ്പോള്‍ തന്നേ ഭൂതം അവനെ തള്ളിയിട്ടു പിടെപ്പിച്ചു. യേശു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചു ബാലനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, അപ്പനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

⁴¹Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

⁴²എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയിങ്കല്‍ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.

⁴²While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

⁴³യേശു ചെയ്യുന്നതില്‍ ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ ഈ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാന്‍ പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴³They were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

⁴⁴ആ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാന്‍ പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴⁴ “Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”

⁴⁵ആ വാക്കു അവര്‍ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അതു തിരിച്ചറിയാതവണ്ണം അവര്‍ക്കും മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; ആ വാക്കു സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാന്‍ അവര്‍ ശങ്കിച്ചു.

⁴⁵But they didn’t understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

⁴⁶അവരില്‍വെച്ചു ആര്‍ വലിയവന്‍ എന്നു ഒരു വാദം അവരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ നടന്നു.

⁴⁶There arose an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.

⁴⁷യേശു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയവിചാരം കണ്ടു ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അരികെ നിറുത്തി

⁴⁷Jesus, perceiving the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,

⁴⁸ഈ ശിശുവിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ആരെങ്കിലും കൈക്കൊണ്ടാല്‍ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരിലും ചെറിയവനായവന്‍ അത്രേ വലിയവന്‍ ആകും എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁴⁸and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”

⁴⁹നാഥാ, ഒരുത്തന്‍ നിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടു; ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാല്‍ അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു യോഹന്നാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു അവനോടു

⁴⁹John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.”

⁵⁰വിരോധിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലമല്ലാത്തവന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵⁰Jesus said to him, “Don’t forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.”

⁵¹അവന്റെ ആരോഹണത്തിന്നുള്ള കാലം തികയാറായപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രയാവാന്‍ മനസ്സു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു തനിക്കു മുമ്പായി ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

⁵¹It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,

⁵²അവര്‍ പോയി അവന്നായി വട്ടംകൂട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു ശമര്യക്കാരുടെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ ചെന്നു.

⁵²and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.

⁵³എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുവാന്‍ ഭാവിച്ചിരിക്കയാല്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടില്ല.

⁵³They didn’t receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem.

⁵⁴അതു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരായ യാക്കോബും യോഹന്നാനും കണ്ടിട്ടുകര്‍ത്താവേ, (ഏലിയാവു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ) ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു തീ ഇറങ്ങി അവരെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്നതു നിനക്കു സമ്മതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁵⁴When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”

⁵⁵അവന്‍ തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു(നിങ്ങള്‍ ഏതു ആത്മാവിന്നു അധീനര്‍ എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല;

⁵⁵But he turned and rebuked them, “You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.

⁵⁶മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്‍ മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രാണങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാനല്ല രക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.) അവര്‍ വേറൊരു ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോയി.

⁵⁶ For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” They went to another village.

⁵⁷അവര്‍ വഴിപോകുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരുത്തന്‍ അവനോടുനീ എവിടെപോയാലും ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵⁷As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”

⁵⁸യേശു അവനോടുകുറുനരികള്‍ക്കു കുഴിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവജാതിക്കു കൂടും ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നോ തല ചായിപ്പാന്‍ സ്ഥലമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵⁸Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

⁵⁹വേറൊരുത്തനോടുഎന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെ അവന്‍ ഞാന്‍ മുമ്പെ പോയി എന്റെ അപ്പനെ കുഴിച്ചിടുവാന്‍ അനുവാദം തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁵⁹He said to another, “Follow me!” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”

⁶⁰അവന്‍ അവനോടുമരിച്ചവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ മരിച്ചവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടട്ടെ; നീയോ പോയി ദൈവരാജ്യം അറിയിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶⁰But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God.”

⁶¹മറ്റൊരുത്തന്‍ കര്‍ത്താവേ, ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കാം; ആദ്യം എന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവരോടു യാത്ര പറവാന്‍ അനുവാദം തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶¹Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.”

⁶²യേശു അവനോടുകലപ്പെക്കു കൈ വെച്ച ശേഷം പുറകോട്ടു നോക്കുന്നവന്‍ ആരും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്നു കൊള്ളാകുന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶²But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
