1 Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെയും ആളാംപ്രതി പേര്വഴി ചാര്ത്തി സംഘത്തിന്റെ ആകത്തുക എടുക്കേണം.
2“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;
3നീയും അഹരോനും യിസ്രായേലില് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു, യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവാന് പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള എല്ലാവരെയും ഗണംഗണമായി എണ്ണേണം.
3from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their divisions.
4ഔരോ ഗോത്രത്തില്നിന്നു തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് തലവനായ ഒരുത്തന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.
4With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.

5These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
6ശിമെയോന് ഗോത്രത്തില് സൂരീശദ്ദായിയുടെ മകന് ശെലൂമീയേല്;
6Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
7യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തില് അമ്മീനാദാബിന്റെ മകന് നഹശോന് ;
7Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
8യിസ്സാഖാര് ഗോത്രത്തില് സൂവാരിന്റെ മകന് നെഥനയേല്;
8Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
9സെബൂലൂന് ഗോത്രത്തില് ഹോലോന്റെ മകന് എലീയാബ്;
9Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

13Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

17Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.

19As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

26യെഹൂദയുടെ മക്കളുടെ സന്തതികളില് കുലംകുലമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും പേരുപേരായി

27യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തില് എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവര് എഴുപത്തുനാലായിരത്തറുനൂറു പേര്.

28യിസ്സാഖാരിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ സന്തതികളില് കുലംകുലമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും പേരുപേരായി

30സെബൂലൂന്റെ മക്കളുടെ സന്തതികളില് കുലംകുലമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും

43നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തില് എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവര് അമ്പത്തുമൂവായിരത്തി നാനൂറു പേര്.
43those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു ഒരുവന് വീതം യിസ്രായേല്പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരും കൂടി എണ്ണമെടുത്തവര് ഇവര് തന്നേ.
44These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.
45യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായി ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരുമായി
45So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel;
46എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവര് ആകെ ആറു ലക്ഷത്തി മൂവായിരത്തഞ്ഞൂറ്റമ്പതു പേര് ആയിരുന്നു.
46even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
47ഇവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ലേവ്യരെ പിതൃഗോത്രമായി എണ്ണിയില്ല.
47But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
48ലേവിഗോത്രത്തെ മാത്രം എണ്ണരുതു;
48For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
49യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് അവരുടെ സംഖ്യ എടുക്കയും അരുതു എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
49“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;
50ലേവ്യരെ സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങള്ക്കും വസ്തുക്കള്ക്കും ഒക്കെ വിചാരകന്മാരായി നിയമിക്കേണം; അവര് തിരുനിവാസവും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വഹിക്കേണം; അവര് അതിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയും തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമടിച്ചു പാര്ക്കയും വേണം.
50but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
51തിരുനിവാസം പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് ലേവ്യര് അതു അഴിച്ചെടുക്കേണം; തിരുനിവാസം അടിക്കുമ്പോള് ലേവ്യര് അതു നിവിര്ത്തേണം; ഒരന്യന് അടുത്തുവന്നാല് മരണ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.
51When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
52യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ഗണംഗണമായി ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ പാളയത്തിലും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൊടിക്കരികെയും ഇങ്ങനെ കൂടാരം അടിക്കേണം.
52The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
53എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സംഘത്തിന്മേല് ക്രോധം ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ലേവ്യര് സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റം പാളയമിറങ്ങേണം; ലേവ്യര് സാക്ഷ്യ നിവാസത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം നോക്കേണം
53But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ എല്ലാം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു; അതു പോലെ തന്നെ അവര് ചെയ്തു.
54Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.
