1യിസ്രായേലിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമെന്നു ബിലെയാം കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവന് മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ലക്ഷണം നോക്കുവാന് പോകാതെ മരുഭൂമിക്കുനേരെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു.
1When Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he didn’t go, as at the other times, to meet with enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2ബിലെയാം തല ഉയര്ത്തി യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായി പാര്ക്കുംന്നതു കണ്ടു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു അവന്റെമേല് വന്നു;
2Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.
3അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതുബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാം പറയുന്നു.
3He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eye was closed says;
4കണ്ണടച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന് പറയുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു കേള്ക്കുന്നവന് , സര്വ്വശക്തന്റെ ദര്ശനം ദര്ശിക്കുന്നവന് , വീഴുമ്പോള് കണ്ണു തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നവന് പറയുന്നതു
4he says, who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
5യാക്കോബേ, നിന്റെ കൂടാരങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ നിവാസങ്ങള് എത്ര മനോഹരം!
5How goodly are your tents, Jacob, and your tents, Israel!
6താഴ്വരപോലെ അവ പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നദീതീരത്തെ ഉദ്യാനങ്ങള്പോലെ, യഹോവ നട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ചന്ദനവൃക്ഷങ്ങള് പോലെ, ജലാന്തികേയുള്ള ദേവദാരുക്കള്പോലെ തന്നേ.
6As valleys they are spread forth, as gardens by the riverside, as aloes which Yahweh has planted, as cedar trees beside the waters.
7അവന്റെ തൊട്ടികളില്നിന്നു വെള്ളം ഒഴുകുന്നു; അവന്റെ വിത്തിന്നു വെള്ളം ധാരാളം; അവന്റെ അരചന് ആഗാഗിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠന് ; അവന്റെ രാജത്വം ഉന്നതം തന്നേ.
7Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.
8ദൈവം അവനെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; കാട്ടുപോത്തിന്നു തുല്യമായ ബലം അവന്നു ഉണ്ടു; ശത്രുജാതികളെ അവന് തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെ അവന് തകര്ക്കുംന്നു; അസ്ത്രം എയ്തു അവരെ തുളെക്കുന്നു.
8God brings him out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox. He shall eat up the nations his adversaries, shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them with his arrows.
9അവന് സിംഹംപോലെ പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; ഒരു സിംഹികണക്കെത്തന്നേ; ആര് അവനെ ഉണര്ത്തും? നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ; നിന്നെ ശപിക്കുന്നവന് ശപീക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് .
9He couched, he lay down as a lion, as a lioness; who shall rouse him up? Everyone who blesses you is blessed. Everyone who curses you is cursed.”
10അപ്പോള് ബാലാക്കിന്റെ കോപം ബിലെയാമിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവന് കൈ ഞെരിച്ചു ബിലെയാമിനോടുഎന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ശപിപ്പാന് ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു; നീയോ ഇവരെ ഈ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യവും ആശീര്വ്വദിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
10Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.
11ഇപ്പോള് നിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോക; നിന്നെ ഏറ്റവും ബഹുമാനിപ്പാന് ഞാന് വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് യഹോവ നിനക്കു ബഹുമാനം മുടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11Therefore now flee you to your place! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, Yahweh has kept you back from honor.”
12അതിന്നു ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുബാലാക് തന്റെ ഗൃഹം നിറെച്ചു വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും തന്നാലും യഹോവയുടെ കല്പന ലംഘിച്ചു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും സ്വമേധയായി ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു കഴിയുന്നതല്ല; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു മാത്രമേ
12Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I also tell your messengers who you sent to me, saying,
13ഞാന് പറകയുള്ളു എന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് നീ അയച്ച ദൂതന്മാരോടു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?
13‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the word of Yahweh, to do either good or bad of my own mind. I will say what Yahweh says’?
14ഇപ്പോള് ഇതാ ഞാന് എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; വരിക, ഭാവികാലത്തു ഈ ജനം നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യുമെന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ അറിയിക്കാം.
14Now, behold, I go to my people: come, I will inform you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.”
15പിന്നെ അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതെന്തെന്നാല്ബെയോരിന്റെ മകന് ബിലെയാം പറയുന്നു; കണ്ണടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന് പറയുന്നു;
15He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eye was closed says;
16ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു കേള്ക്കുന്നവന് അത്യുന്നതന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിച്ചവന് , സര്വ്വശക്തന്റെ ദര്ശനം ദര്ശിക്കുന്നവന് , വീഴുമ്പോള് കണ്ണു തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നവന് പറയുന്നതു
16he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, Falling down, and having his eyes open:
17ഞാന് അവനെ കാണും, ഇപ്പോള് അല്ലതാനും; ഞാന് അവനെ ദര്ശിക്കും, അടുത്തല്ലതാനും. യാക്കോബില്നിന്നു ഒരു നക്ഷത്രം ഉദിക്കും; യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു ഒരു ചെങ്കോല് ഉയരും. അതു മോവാബിന്റെ പാര്ശ്വങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം തകര്ക്കയും തുമുലപുത്രന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും സംഹരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
17I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Sheth.
18എദോം ഒരു അധീനദേശമാകും; ശത്രുവായ സെയീരും അധീനദേശമാകും; യിസ്രായേലോ വീര്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും.
18Edom shall be a possession. Seir, his enemies, also shall be a possession, while Israel does valiantly.
19യാക്കോബില്നിന്നു ഒരുത്തന് ഭരിക്കും; ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയവരെ അവന് നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കും.
19Out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.”
20അവന് അമാലേക്കിനെ നോക്കി സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിയതുഅമാലേക് ജാതികളില് മുമ്പന് ; അവന്റെ അവസാനമോ നാശം അത്രേ.
20He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, But his latter end shall come to destruction.”
21അവന് കേന്യരെ നോക്കി സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിയതുനിന്റെ നിവാസം ഉറപ്പുള്ളതുനിന്റെ കൂടു പാറയില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
21He looked at the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said, “Your dwelling place is strong. Your nest is set in the rock.
22എങ്കിലും കേന്യന്നു നിര്മ്മൂലനാശം ഭവിക്കും; അശ്ശൂര് നിന്നെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോവാന് ഇനിയെത്ര?
22Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”
23പിന്നെ അവന് ഈ സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിയതുഹാ, ദൈവം ഇതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കുമ്പോള് ആര് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും?
23He took up his parable, and said, “Alas, who shall live when God does this?
24കിത്തീംതീരത്തുനിന്നു കപ്പലുകള് വരും; അവ അശ്ശൂരിനെ താഴ്ത്തും, ഏബെരിനെയും താഴ്ത്തും. അവന്നും നിര്മ്മൂലനാശം ഭവിക്കും
24But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim. They shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber. He also shall come to destruction.”
25അതിന്റെ ശേഷം ബിലെയാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി; ബാലാക്കും തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി.
25Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place; and Balak also went his way.
