1ജാതികള്‍ കലഹിക്കുന്നതും വംശങ്ങള്‍ വ്യര്‍ത്ഥമായതു നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?
1Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?
2യഹോവെക്കും അവന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്നും വിരോധമായി ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കുയും അധിപതികള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ആലോചിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു
2The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, The word “Anointed” is the same as the word for “Messiah” or “Christ” saying,
3നാം അവരുടെ കെട്ടുകളെ പൊട്ടിച്ചു അവരുടെ കയറുകളെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളക.
3“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”
4സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ വസിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ചിരിക്കുന്നു; കര്‍ത്താവു അവരെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
4He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” will have them in derision.
5അന്നു അവന്‍ കോപത്തോടെ അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും; ക്രോധത്തോടെ അവരെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കും.
5Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:
6എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപര്‍വ്വതമായ സീയോനില്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ രാജാവിനെ വാഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
6“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”
7ഞാന്‍ ഒരു നിര്‍ണ്ണയം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നുയഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ എന്റെ പുത്രന്‍ ; ഇന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
7I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.
8എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക; ഞാന്‍ നിനക്കു ജാതികളെ അവകാശമായും ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളെ കൈവശമായും തരും;
8Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
9ഇരിമ്പുകോല്‍കൊണ്ടു നീ അവരെ തകര്‍ക്കും; കുശവന്റെ പാത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ഉടെക്കും.
9You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
10ആകയാല്‍ രാജാക്കന്മാരേ, ബുദ്ധി പഠിപ്പിന്‍ ; ഭൂമിയിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരേ, ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്‍വിന്‍ .
10Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11ഭയത്തോടെ യഹോവയെ സേവിപ്പിന്‍ ; വിറയലോടെ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിപ്പിന്‍ .
11Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12അവന്‍ കോപിച്ചിട്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ വഴിയില്‍വെച്ചു നശിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ പുത്രനെ ചുംബിപ്പിന്‍ . അവന്റെ കോപം ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ ജ്വലിക്കും; അവനെ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്‍.
12Give sincere homage to the Son or, Kiss the son , lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.
