1देव असे म्हणाला, “आकाश माझे सिंहासन आहे आणि पृथ्वी हे माझे पाय ठेवण्याचे आसन आहे. मग तुम्ही माझ्यासाठी घर बांधू शकाल असे तुम्हाला वाटते का? नाही. तुम्हाला ते शक्य नाही. तुम्ही मला विश्रांतीसाठी जागा देऊ शकाल का? नाही. तुम्ही जागा देऊ शकणार नाही.
1Thus said Jehovah: The heavens [are] My throne, And the earth My footstool, Where [is] this — the house that ye build for Me? And where [is] this — the place — My rest?
2मी स्वत:च सर्व गोष्टी निर्माण केल्या. मी घडविल्या म्हणून या सर्व गोष्टी येथे आहेत.” परमेश्वर असे म्हणाला, “मला सांगा, मी कोणत्या लोकांची काळजी घेतो? मी गरीब आणि नम्र लोकांची काळजी घेतो. हे लोक फार दु:खी आहेत. माझ्या शब्दांचे पालन करणाऱ्या लोकांची मी काळजी घेतो.
2And all these My hand hath made, And all these things are, An affirmation of Jehovah! And unto this one I look attentively, Unto the humble and bruised in spirit, And who is trembling at My word.
3काही लोक बैलांना मारून होमार्पण देतात, पण ते लोकांनाही चोपतात ते लोक होमार्पण अर्पण करण्यासाठी मेंढ्या मारतात पण ते कुत्र्यांच्याही माना मुरगळतात. ते डुकराचे रक्त मला अर्पण करतात. ते लोक आठवणीने धूप जाळतात, पण ते त्यांच्या शून्य किंमतीच्या मूर्तीवरही प्रेम करतात. ते लोक त्यांचे स्वत:चे मार्ग निवडतात. माझे मार्ग निवडत नाहीत. ते त्यांच्या भयानक मूर्तीवर प्रेम करतात.
3Whoso slaughtereth the ox smiteth a man, Whoso sacrificeth the lamb beheadeth a dog, Whoso is bringing up a present — The blood of a sow, Whoso is making mention of frankincense, Is blessing iniquity. Yea, they have fixed on their own ways, And in their abominations their soul hath delighted.
4म्हणून मी त्यांच्याच युक्त्या वापरायचे ठरविले आहे. ह्याचाच अर्थ ते ज्या गोष्टींना फार भितात, त्या वापरून मी त्यांना शिक्षा करीन. मी त्या लोकांना बोलाविले पण त्यांनी ऐकले नाही. मी त्यांच्याशी बोललो, पण त्यांना ते ऐकू आले नाही म्हणून मी त्यांच्यासाठी तीच गोष्टी करीन. मी ज्यांना पापे म्हटले, त्या गोष्टी त्यांनी केल्या. मला न आवडणाऱ्या गोष्टी त्यांनी निवडल्या.”
4I also — I fix on their vexations, And their fears I bring in to them, Because I have called, and there is none answering, I spake, and they have not hearkened, And they do the evil things in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not — fixed.
5परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञा पाळणाऱ्या लोकहो तुम्ही परमेश्वर ज्या गोष्टी सांगतो त्या ऐकाव्या. “तुमच्या भावांनी तुमचा तिरस्कार केला. ते तुमच्याविरूध्द गेले, कारण तुम्ही मला अनुसरलात. तुमचे भाऊ म्हणाले, ‘परमेश्वराचा सन्मान केला गेल्यावर आम्ही परत तुमच्याकडे येऊ. मग आम्हाला तुमच्याबरोबर राहण्यात आनंद होईल.’त्या वाईट लोकांना शिक्षा केली जाईल.”
5Hear a word of Jehovah, Ye who are trembling unto His word, Said have your brethren who are hating you, Who are driving you out, for My name`s sake: `Honoured is Jehovah, and we look on your joy,` But they are ashamed.
6ऐका! नगरातून आणि मंदिरातून मोठा आवाज येत आहे. परमेश्वर शत्रूला शिक्षा करीत असल्याचा तो आवाज आहे. त्यांना योग्य शिक्षा देव करीत आहे.
6A voice of noise [is] from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of Jehovah, giving recompence to His enemies.

7Before she is pained she hath brought forth, Before a pang cometh to her, She hath delivered a male.

8Who hath heard anything like this? Who hath seen anything like these? Is earth caused to bring forth in one day? Born is a nation at once? For she hath been pained, Zion also hath borne her sons.
9त्याचप्रमाणे मी सुध्दा नवीन निर्मिती होऊ न देता वेदना होऊ देणार नाही.” परमेश्वर पुढे म्हणतो, “जर मी तुम्हाला प्रसूतिवेदना दिल्या तर तुम्हाला नवीन राष्ट्र मिळाल्याशिवाय राहणार नाही असे मी तुम्हाला वचन देतो.” तुमचा देव असे म्हणाला.
9`Do I bring to the birth, And not cause to bring forth?` saith Jehovah, `Am not I He who is causing to beget? I have also restrained,` said thy God.
10यरूशलेम, सुखी हो! यरूशलेमवर प्रेम करणारे तुम्ही लोकहो, सुखी व्हा! यरूशलेमला दु:खकारक गोष्टी घडल्या म्हणून तुमच्यातील काही लोकांना दु:ख झाले आहे. पण आता तुम्ही सुखी व्हावे.
10Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, And be glad in her, all ye loving her, Rejoice ye with her for joy, All ye are mourning for her,
11का? कारण आईच्या स्तनातून येणाऱ्या दुधासारखी दया तुम्हाला मिळेल, ते “दूध” तुम्हाला खरी तृप्ती देईल. तुम्ही ते दूध प्याल आणि तुम्ही यरूशलेमच्या वैभवाने खरोखरीच आनंदित व्हाल.
11So that ye suck, and have been satisfied, From the breast of her consolations, So that ye wring out, and have delighted yourselves From the abundance of her honour.
12परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाहा! मी तुम्हाला शांती देईन. मोठ्या नदीप्रमाणे ही शांती वाहत वाहत तुमच्याकडे येईल. पृथ्वीवरील सर्व राष्ट्रांच्या संपत्तीचा ओघ तुमच्याकडे येईल. पुराप्रमाणे हा संपत्तीचा ओघ येईल. तुम्ही लहान मुलासारखे व्हाल. तुम्ही ‘दूध’ प्याल. मी तुम्हाला उचलून कडेवर घेईन. मी तुम्हाला मांडीवर खेळवीन.
12For thus said Jehovah: `Lo, I am stretching out to her peace as a river, And as an overflowing stream the honour of nations, And ye have sucked, on the side ye are carried, And on the knees ye are dandled.
13तुम्ही यरूशलेममध्ये आरामात राहाल. आई जशी मुलाला आराम देते, तसा मी तुम्हाला देईन.”
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so do I comfort you, Yea, in Jerusalem ye are comforted.
14खरोखरी आनंद देणाऱ्या गोष्टी तुम्हाला दिसतील. तुम्ही स्वतंत्र व्हाल आणि गवताप्रमाणे वाढाल. परमेश्वराचे सेवक त्याचे सामर्थ्य पाहतील आणि परमेश्वराचे शत्रू त्याचा राग अनुभवतील.
14And ye have seen, and rejoiced hath your heart, And your bones as tender grass do flourish, And the hand of Jehovah hath been known unto His servants, And He hath been indignant with His enemies.
15पाहा! परमेश्वर अग्नी घेऊन येत आहे. परमेश्वराचे सैन्य धुळीचे लोट उडवीत येत आहे. आपल्या रागाचा उपयोग परमेश्वर लोकांना शिक्षा करण्यासाठी करील. परमेश्वर रागावल्यावर त्या लोकांना अग्नीच्या ज्वाळांनी शिक्षा करील.
15For, lo, Jehovah in fire cometh, And as a hurricane His chariots, To refresh in fury His anger, And His rebuke in flames of fire.
16परमेश्वर लोकांना न्याय देईल. मग तो लोकांना अग्नीने आणि त्याच्या तलवारीने नाश करील. परमेश्वर खूप लोकांचा नाश करील.
16For by fire and by His sword, Doth Jehovah do judgment with all flesh. And many have been Jehovah`s pierced ones.`
17हे लोक त्यांच्या खास बागांमध्ये पूजा करण्यासाठी शुचिर्भूत व्हावे म्हणून स्नान करतात. ते एकमेकांच्या मागून खास बागांमध्ये जातात. मग ते मूर्तीची पूजा करतात. पण परमेश्वर त्या सर्व लोकांचा नाश करील. “ते लोक डुक्कर, उंदीर ह्यांचे मांस व इतर घाणेरडया गोष्टी खातात. पण ह्या सर्व लोकांचा एकत्रितपणे नाश केला जाईल.” (परमेश्वराने स्वत: ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या)
17Those sanctifying and cleansing themselves at the gardens, After Ahad in the midst, Eating flesh of the sow, And of the abomination, and of the mouse, Together are consumed, An affirmation of Jehovah.
18“ते लोक दुष्ट विचार करतात आणि पापे करतात म्हणून त्यांना शिक्षा करण्यासाठी मी येत आहे मी सर्व राष्ट्रांना व सर्व लोकांना गोळा करीन. सर्व लोक एकत्र येऊन माझे सामर्थ्य पाहतील.
18And I — their works and their thoughts, I come to gather all the nations and tongues, And they have come and seen My honour.
19काही लोकांवर मी खूण करीन. मी त्यांना वाचवीन. मी ह्या वाचविलेल्या काही लोकांना तार्शीश, पूल, लूद (धनुर्धाऱ्यांचा देश), तूबल, यवान आणि दूरूदरच्या देशांत पाठवीन. त्या लोकांनी कधीच माझी शिकवण ऐकलेली नाही. त्यांनी कधीच माझे तेज पाहिलेले नाही म्हणून वाचविले गेलेले लोक, त्या राष्ट्रांना माझ्या तेजाबद्दल सांगतील.
19And I have set among them a sign, And have sent out of them those escaping unto the nations, (Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, drawing bow, Tubal and Javan, the isles that are far off,) Who have not heard My fame, nor seen Mine honour, And they have declared Mine honour among nations.
20आणि ते सर्व राष्ट्रांतून तुमच्या भावा बहिणींना आणतील. ते त्यांना माझ्या पवित्र डोंगरावर, यरूशलेमला, आणतील. तुमची ही भावंडे घोड्यांवरून गाढवांवरून, उंटांवरून, रथांतून आणि गाड्यांतून येतील. तुमची ही भावंडे म्हणजे जणू काही इस्राएलच्या लोकांनी निर्मळ तबकांतून, परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात आणलेले नजराणे असतील.
20And they have brought all your brethren out of all the nations, A present to Jehovah, On horses, and on chariot, and on litters, And on mules, and on dromedaries, Unto My holy mountain Jerusalem, said Jehovah, As the sons of Israel bring the present in a clean vessel, Into the house of Jehovah.
21ह्यातीलच काही लोकांना मी याजक व लेवी होण्यासाठी निवडीन.” परमेश्वर हे सर्व म्हणाला.
21And also of them I take for priests, For Levites, said Jehovah.
22“मी नवे जग निर्माण करीन आणि नवा स्वर्ग व नवी पृथ्वी अक्षय राहतील. त्याचप्रमाणे तुमची नावे आणि मुले नेहमी माझ्याबरोबर असतील.
22For, as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making, Are standing before Me, An affirmation of Jehovah! So remain doth your seed and your name.
23प्रत्येक पूजेच्या दिवशी, सर्व लोक माझी उपासना करण्यासाठी येतील. ते प्रत्येक शब्बाथला आणि महिन्याच्या पहिल्या दिवशी येतील.
23And it hath been from month to month, And from sabbath to sabbath, Come do all flesh to bow themselves before Me, Said Jehovah.
24“ते लोक माझ्या पवित्र नगरात येतील. आणि ते जर नगराच्या बाहेर गेले तर त्यांना माझ्याविरूध्द गेलेल्या लोकांची मृत शरीरे दिसतील. त्या मृत शरीरांत कधी न मरणारे किडे पडतील कधी न विझणारा अग्नी त्या मृत शरीरांना जाळून टाकील.”
24And they have gone forth, And looked on the carcases of the men Who are transgressing against me, For their worm dieth not, And their fire is not quenched, And they have been an abhorrence to all flesh!
