¹येशू नावेत चढला व परत आपल्या नगरात गेला.

¹He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

²तेव्हा काही लोकांनी पक्षघात झालेल्या मनुष्याला येशूकडे आणले. तो मनुष्य बाजेवर पडून होता. येशूने त्यांचा विश्वास पाहून त्या पक्षघाती मनुष्याला म्हटले. “तरुण मुला, काळजी करू नकोस. तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहे.”

²Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

³नियमशास्त्राच्या काही शिक्षकांनी हे ऐकले आणि ते आपसात म्हणाले, “हा मनुष्य तर ईश्वराची निंदा करीत आहे.”

³Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”

⁴त्यांचे विचार ओळखून येशू म्हणला, “तुमच्या अंत:करणात तुम्ही वाईट विचार का करता?

⁴Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

⁵कारण, तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहे असे म्हणणे, किंवा उठून चालू लाग, असे म्हणणे यातून कोणते सोपे आहे?

⁵ For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’

⁶परंतु तुम्ही हे समजून घ्यावे की, मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला, पृथ्वीवर पापाची क्षमा करण्याचा अधिकार आहे.” मग येशू त्या पक्षघाती मनुष्याला म्हणाला, ‘ऊठ! आपला बिछाना घे आणि घरी जा.’

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house.”

⁷मग तो उठून आपल्या घरी गेला.

⁷He arose and departed to his house.

⁸लोकांनी हे पाहिले व ते थक्क झाले आणि ज्या देवाने मनुष्यास असा अधिकार दिला त्याचा त्यांनी गौरव केला.

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

⁹As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

¹⁰येशू मत्तयाच्या घरी जेवत असता, पुष्कळ जकातदार व पापी आले आणि येशू व त्याचे शिष्य यांच्याबरोबर जेवायला बसले.

¹⁰It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

¹¹परूशांनी ते पाहिले त्यांनी येशूच्या शिष्यांस विचारले, “तुमचा गुरू जकातदार व पापी यांच्याबरोबर का जेवतो?”

¹¹When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

¹²येशूने त्यांना हे बोलताना ऐकले, तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “जे निरोगी आहेत त्यांना वैद्याची गरज नाही तर जे आजरी आहेत त्यांना आहे.

¹²When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.

¹³मी तुम्हांला सांगतो, जा आणि याचा अर्थ काय ते शिका: ‘मला यज्ञपशूंची अर्पणे नकोत, तर दया हवी. ‘मी नीतिमान लोकांना नव्हे, तर पापी लोकांना बोलावण्यास आलो आहे.”

¹³ But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ Hosea 6:6 for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. NU omits “to repentance”. ”

¹⁴मग योहानाचे शिष्य त्याच्याकडे आले आणि त्यांनी त्याला विचारले, “आम्ही व परुशी पुष्कळ वेळा उपास करतो. पण तुझे शिष्य उपास करीत नाहीत. ते का?”

¹⁴Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”

¹⁵येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “नवरा मुलगा (वर) सोबत असताना त्याचे वऱ्हाडी दु:खी कसे राहतील? अशी वेळ येईल जेव्हा नवऱ्या मुलाला त्यांच्यापासून दूर केले जाईल तेव्हा ते उपास करतील.

¹⁵Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

¹⁶कोणी नव्या कापडाचे ठिगळ जुन्या कापडाला लावीत नाही, कारण ते ठिगळ त्या कापडापासून निघून जाईल व छिद्र अधिक मोठे होईल.

¹⁶ No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.

¹⁷तसेच नवा द्राक्षारस जुन्या कातडी पिशवीत कोणी घालीत नाहीत, घातला तर पिशव्या फुटतात व त्यांचा नाश होतो. म्हाणून लोक नवा द्राक्षारस नव्या पिशव्यात घालतात. तेव्हा दोन्हीही चांगले राहतात.”

¹⁷ Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

¹⁸येशू या बोधकथा सांगत असता पहुद्यांच्या सभास्थानाचा एक अधिकारी त्याच्याकडे आला व येशूच्या पाया पडून म्हणाला, “माझी मुलगी आताच मेली आहे. परंतु आपण येऊन आपल्या हाताचा स्पर्श केला तर ती पुन्हा जिवंत होईल.”

¹⁸While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

¹⁹तेव्हा येशू व त्याचे शिष्य त्या सेनाधिकाऱ्याबरोबर निघाले.

¹⁹Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.

²⁰वाटेत बारा वर्षापासून रक्तस्राव असलेली एक स्त्री मागून येऊन येशूच्या जवळ पोहोंचली व त्याच्या वस्त्राला शिवली.

²⁰Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his garment;

²¹कारण तिने आपल्या मनात म्हटले, “मी केवळ त्याच्या वस्त्राला शिवले तरी बरी होईन.”

²¹for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”

²²तेव्हा येशू मागे वळून तिला पाहून म्हणाला, “बाई काळजी करू नकोस! तुझ्या विश्वासाने तुला बरे केले आहे.” आणि ती स्त्री त्याच क्षणी बरी झाली.

²²But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

²³मग येशू त्या यहूदी सभास्थानाच्या अधिकाऱ्याच्या घरात आला. तेव्हा त्याने बासरी वाजविणाऱ्या व गोंधळ करणाऱ्या जमावाला पाहिले.

²³When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,

²⁴येशू म्हणाला, “जा, मुलगी मेलेली नाही, ती झोपेत आहे.” तेव्हा लोक येशूला हसले.

²⁴he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.

²⁵मग त्या जमावाला बाहेर पाठविल्यावर त्याने आत जाऊन तिचा हात आपल्या हातात घेतला आणि ती मुलगी उठली.

²⁵But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

²⁶आणि ही बातमी त्या प्रांतात पसरली.

²⁶The report of this went out into all that land.

²⁷तेव्हा येशू तेथून जात असता दोन आंधळे त्याच्यामागे ओरडत चालले. म्हणू लागले, “दाविदाच्या पुत्रा, आम्हांवर दया करा.”

²⁷As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”

²⁸येशू आत गेला तेव्हा ते आंधळेही आत गेले. त्याने त्यांना विचारले. “मी तुम्हांला दृष्टि देऊ शकेन असा तुमचा विश्वास आहे का?” “होय, प्रभु,” त्यांनी उत्तर दिले.

²⁸When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

²⁹मग त्याने त्यांच्या डोळ्यांना स्पर्श केला आणि म्हणाला, “तुमच्या विश्वासाप्रमाणे तुमच्या बाबतीत घडो.”

²⁹Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

³⁰आणि त्यांना पुन्हा दृष्टि आलि. येशूने त्यांना सक्त ताकीद दिली, “पाहा, हे कोणाला कळू देऊ नका.”

³⁰Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

³¹परंतु ते बाहेर गेले आणि त्यांनी त्या प्रदेशात सगळीकडे ही बातमी पसरविलि.

³¹But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

³²मग ते दोघे निघून जात असताना लोकांनी एका भूतबाधा झालेल्या माणसाला येशूकडे आणले.

³²As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

³³जेव्हा येशूने त्यामधून भूत काढून टाकले तेव्हा पूर्वी मुका असलेला तो मनुष्य बोलू लागला. लोकांना ह्याचे आश्चर्य वाटले व ते म्हणाले, “इस्राएलमध्ये याआधी असे कधीही झालेले पाहण्यात आले नाही.”

³³When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

³⁴परंतु परूशी म्हणाले, “हा भूतांच्या अधिपतीच्या साहाय्याने भुते काढतो.”

³⁴But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

³⁵येशू त्यांच्या सभास्थानांमध्ये शिक्षण देत व राज्याचे शुभवर्तमान गाजवीत आणि सर्व प्रकारचे रोग व सर्व प्रकारचे आजार बरे करीत सर्व नगरातून व सर्व खेड्यातून फिरला.

³⁵Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

³⁶आणि जेव्हा त्याने त्रासलेल्या असहाय लोकांचे समुदाय पाहिले तेव्हा त्याला त्यांचा कळवळा आला. कारण मेंढपाळ नसलेल्या मेंढरांसारखे ते कष्टी व पांगलेले होते.

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed TR reads “weary” instead of “harassed” and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁷तो आपल्या शिष्यांस म्हणाला, “पीक खरोखर फार आहे, पण कामकरी थोडे आहेत.

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

³⁸म्हणून तुम्ही पिकाच्या प्रभूची प्रार्थना करा यासाठी की, त्याने आपल्या पिकाची कापणी करायला कामकरी पाठवावेत.’

³⁸ Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”
