¹परमेश्वरा माझ्या लढाया लढ. माझे युध्द कर.

¹Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

²परमेश्वरा ढाल आणि साऱ्या शरीराचे रक्षण करणारी मोठी ढाल उचल. ऊठ आणि मला मदत कर.

²Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

³भाला आणि भाल्यासारखे दिसणारे शस्त्र यांनी माझा पाठलाग करणान्या लोकांशी लढ परमेश्वरा, माझ्या जीवाला सांग, “मी तुझे रक्षण करीन.”

³Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”

⁴काही लोक मला मारायचा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत त्यांची निराशा करुन त्यांना शरम वाटेल असे कर. त्यांना पाठ फिरवून पळून जायला लावते लोक मला दुख द्यायच्या योजना आखत आहेत. त्यांना गोंधळात अडचणीत टाक.

⁴Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

⁵त्या लोकांना वाऱ्यावर उडूनजाणारा कोंडा बनव. परमेश्वराच्या दूतांकरवी त्यांचा पाठलाग होऊ दे.

⁵Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on.

⁶परमेश्वरा, त्यांचा मार्ग अंधारमय आणि निसरडा होऊ दे. परमेश्वराचा दूत त्यांचा पाठलाग करु दे.

⁶Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them.

⁷मी काहीही चूक केली नाही तरी त्या लोकांनी मला जाळ्यात अडकवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.

⁷For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.

⁸म्हणून परमेश्वरा, त्यांना त्यांच्याच सापळ्यात अडकू दे. त्यांना त्यांच्याच जाळ्यात अडकून पडू दे. एखादे अनामिक संकट त्यांच्यावर कोसळू दे.

⁸Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.

⁹नंतर मी परमेश्वराचा आनंद लुटीन. त्याने माझे रक्षण केले की मी आनंदी होईन.

⁹My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation.

¹⁰माझी सर्व हाडे म्हणतील, “परमेश्वरा, तुझ्यासारखा कोणीही नाही परमेश्वरा, तू सामर्थ्यवान लोकांपासून गरीबांना वाचवतोस. तू सामर्थ्यवानां पासून वस्तू घेऊन त्या गरीबांना आणि असहाय लोकांना देतोस.”

¹⁰All my bones shall say, “Yahweh, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”

¹¹साक्षिदारांचा समूह मला दु:ख द्यायचे कारस्थान करीत आहे. ते लोक मला प्रश्न विचारतील आणि ते काय बोलतात ते मला कळत नाही.

¹¹Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.

¹²मी फक्त चांगल्याच गोष्टी केल्या आहेत परंतु लोक माझ्या विरुध्द वाईट गोष्टी करतील. परमेश्वरा, मी ज्या चांगल्या गोष्टींसाठी पात्र आहे त्या मला दे.

¹²They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.

¹³जेव्हा ते लोक आजारी पडले तेव्हा मला वाईट वाटले, अन्न न खाऊन मी माझे दुख प्रकट केले. त्यांच्यासाठी प्रार्थना करुन मी हेच मिळवले का?

¹³But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.

¹⁴मी त्या लोकांसाठी सुतकी कपडे घातले. मी त्या लोकांना माझ्या मित्रांसारखे किंवा भावासारखे वागवले. आई मेल्यावर रडणाऱ्या माणसाप्रमाणे मी दु:खी आहे. त्या लोकांसाठी दु:ख व्यक्त करायचे म्हणून मी काळे कपडे घातले. दुखात नतमस्तक होऊन मी वावरलो.

¹⁴I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

¹⁵परंतु मी जेव्हा चूक केली तेव्हा ते लोक मला हसले ते लोक सच्चे मित्र नव्हते. मी त्यांना नीट ओळखत देखील नव्हतो परंतु ते माझ्या भोवती गोळा झाले आणि ते त्यांनी माझ्यावर हल्ला केला.

¹⁵But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.

¹⁶त्यांनी वाईट भाषा वापरली आणि माझी चेष्टा केली. त्यांनी माइयावरचा त्यांचा राग कराकरा दातखाऊन व्यक्त केला.

¹⁶Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.

¹⁷परमेश्वरा, या वाईट गोष्टी घडत असताना तू किती वेळ नुसता बघत राहाणार आहेस? ते लोक माझा नाश करण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत परमेश्वरा, माझे प्राण वाचव, माझे प्रियप्राण त्या वाईट लोकांपासून वाचव. ते सिंहासारखे आहेत.

¹⁷Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

¹⁸परमेश्वरा, मोठ्या सभेत मी तुझी स्तुती करेन. मी सामर्थ्यवान लोकांबरोबर असेन तेव्हा तुझी स्तुती करेन.

¹⁸I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.

¹⁹माझे खोटे बोलणारे शत्रू हसत राहाणार नाहीत. त्यांच्या गुप्त योजनांमुळे माझ्या शत्रूंना खरोखरच शिक्षा होईल.

¹⁹Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

²⁰माझे शत्रू शांतीच्या योजना आखत नाहीत. या देशातील शांततापूर्ण लोकांना त्रास देण्यासाठीच माझे शत्रू गुप्तपणे योजना आखत आहेत.

²⁰For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

²¹माझे शत्रू माझ्या विषयी वाईट बोलत आहेत. ते खोट बोलतात आणि म्हणतात, “हा तू काय करतोस ते आम्हाला माहीत आहे.”

²¹Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

²²परमेश्वरा, काय घडत आहे ते तुला तरी दिसतं आहे ना? मग गप्प बसू नकोस मला सोडून जाऊ नकोस.

²²You have seen it, Yahweh. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.

²³परमेश्वरा, जागा हो! ऊठ माझ्या देवा, माझ्या परमेश्वरा माझ्यासाठी लढ आणि मला न्याय दे.

²³Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!

²⁴परमेश्वरा, देवा तुझ्या न्यायी बुध्दीने मला न्याय दे त्या लोकांना मला हसू देऊ नकोस.

²⁴Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.

²⁵“आम्हाला हवे होते ते मिळाले,” असे त्या लोकांना म्हणू देऊ नकोस. परमेश्वरा, “आम्ही त्याचा नाश केला” असे त्यांना म्हणू देऊ नकोस.

²⁵Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”

²⁶माझ्या सगळ्या शत्रूंना शरम वाटावी, ते गोंधळून जावेत अशी माझी इच्छा आहे. माझ्या बाबतीत वाईट गोष्टी घडल्या तेव्हा ते लोक आनंदी होते ते माझ्यापेक्षा चांगले आहेत असे त्यांना वाटत होते. म्हणून ते लोक अपमानाने आणि लाजेने झाकोळून जावोत.

²⁶Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

²⁷काही लोकांना माझे चांगले व्हावे असे वाटते. ते सर्व लोक सुखी होवोत ते लोक नेहमी म्हणतात, “परमेश्वर महान आहे त्याच्या सेवकाचे भले व्हावे अशी त्याची इच्छा आहे.”

²⁷Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, “Yahweh be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”

²⁸म्हणून परमेश्वरा तू किती चांगला आहेस ते मी लोकांना सांगेन. मी रोज तुझी स्तुती करेन.
