1जो माणूस गरीबांना यशस्वी होण्यासाठी मदत करतो त्याला अनेक आशीर्वाद मिळतील. संकट येईल तेव्हा परमेश्वर त्याला वाचवेल.
1Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.
2परमेश्वर त्या माणसाचे रक्षण करेल आणि त्याचा जीव वाचवेल. पृथ्वीवर त्या माणसाला आशीर्वाद मिळेल. देव त्या माणसाचा त्याच्या शत्रूकडून नाश होऊ देणार नाही.
2Yahweh will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.
3तो माणूस जेव्हा आजारी पडून अंथरुणावर असेल तेव्हा परमेश्वर त्याला शक्ती देईल. तो आजारात अंथरुणावर पडला तरी परमेश्वर त्याला बरे करील.
3Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
4मी म्हणालो, “परमेश्वरा, माझ्यावर दया कर. मी तुझ्या विरुध्द पाप केले, पण मला क्षमा कर आणि मला बरे कर.”
4I said, “Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5माझे शत्रू माझ्याविषयी वाईट बोलतात. ते म्हणतात, “तो कधी मरेल आणि विस्मरणात जाईल?”
5My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
6काही लोक मला भेटायला येतात परंतु त्यांच्या मनात काय आहे ते सांगत नाहीत. ते माझ्याबद्दलची काही बातमी मिळवण्यासाठी येतात. नंतर ते जातात आणि त्यांच्या अफवा पसरवतात.
6If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.
7माझे शत्रू माझ्याबद्दलच्या वाईट गोष्टी कुजबुजतात, ते माझ्याविरुध्द वाईट गोष्टींच्या योजना आखतात.
7All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.
8ते म्हणतात, “त्याने काही तरी चूक केली म्हणूनच तो आजारी आहे. तो कधीच बरा होऊ नये अशी मी आशा करतो.”
8“An evil disease,” they say, “has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”
9माझा सगळ्यात चांगला मित्र माझ्याबरोबर जेवला. मी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला. पण आता तो माझ्याविरुध्द गेला आहे.
9Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.
10म्हणून परमेश्वरा, माझ्यावर दया कर. मला उठू दे, मग मी त्यांची परत फेड करीन.
10But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11परमेश्वरा, माझ्या शत्रूंना मला दु:ख द्यायला संधी देऊ नकोस. तरच मला कळेल की तू माझा स्वीकार केला आहेस.
11By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy doesn’t triumph over me.
12मी निरपराध होतो आणि तू मला पाठिंबा दिला होतास. तू मला उभे राहू दे, मग मी सदैव तुझी चाकरी करीन.
12As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.
13इस्राएलाच्या देवाचा जयजयकार असो. तो नेहमी होता आणि नेहमी राहील आमेन आमेन.
13Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and amen. BOOK II
