¹ရေလွှမ်းမိုးသောနောက်၊ နောဧသား ရှေမ၊ ဟာမ၊ ယာဖက်တို့မှ ဆင်းသက်သော သားစဉ်မြေးဆက် တို့ကို ဆိုပေအံ့။

¹Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

²ယာဖက်၏သားကား ဂေါမာ၊ မာဂေါဂ၊ မာဒဲ၊ ယာဝန်၊ တုဗလ၊ မေရှက်၊ ထိုက်တည်း။

²The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

³ဂေါမသားကား၊ အာရှေကနတ်၊ ရိဖတ် တော်ဂမတည်း။

³The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

⁴ယာဝန်သားကား၊ ဧလိရှား၊ တာရှု၊ ကိတ္တိမ်၊ ဒေါဒနိမ်တည်း။

⁴The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

⁵ဤသူတို့သည် လူအမျိုးမျိုး တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံ မြေနယ်တို့ကို ဘာသာအသီးအသီး၊ အမျိုးအနွယ် အသီးသီးရှိသည့်အတိုင်း၊ အချင်းချင်း ခွဲဝေကြ၏။

⁶The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁷ကုရှသားကား၊ သေဘ၊ ဟာဝိလ၊ သာဘတ၊ ရာဂမ၊ သတ္တေခါတည်း။ ရာဂမသားကား၊ ရှေဘ၊ ဒေဒန်တည်း။

⁷The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

⁸ကုရှသည် သားနိမ်ရောဒကိုလည်း ရသေး၏။ ထိုသားသည် မြေကြီးပေါ်မှာ အဦးစွမ်းနိုင်သော သူဖြစ်၏။

⁸Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.

⁹ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့မှာ အားကြီးသော မုဆိုးဖြစ်၏။ ထိုကြောင့် စကားပုံ၌ကား၊ ဘုရားရှေ့နိမ်ရောဒ၊ အားကြီးမုဆိုး၊ ပြုလုပ်သည်လိုဟု စပ်ဆိုသတည်း။

⁹He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh.”

¹⁰သူ၏ နိုင်ငံအဦးကား၊ ရှိနာပြည်၌ ဗာဗုလုန်မြို့၊ ဧရက်မြို့၊ အက္ကမြို့ကာလနေမြို့တည်း။

¹⁰The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

¹¹ထိုပြည်မှာအာရှရိပြည်သို့သွား၍ နိနေဝမြို့၊ ရဟောဘုတ်မြို့ ကာလမြို့ကို၎င်း၊

¹¹Out of that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,

¹²နိနေဝေမြို့နှင့်၊ ကာလမြို့စပ်ကြားမှာ ကြီးစွာသော မြို့တည်းဟူသော ရေသင်မြို့ကို၎င်း တည်ဆောက် လေ၏။

¹²and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city).

¹³မိဇရိမ်သားကား၊ လုဒိမ်လူ၊ အာနမိမ်လူ၊ လဟာဗိမ်လူ၊ နတ္တုဟိမ်လူ၊

¹⁴Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim.

¹⁵ခါနာန်သား အကြီးကား၊ ဇိဒုန်။ ထိုနောက် ဟေသ။

¹⁵Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth,

¹⁶ထိုနောက် ယေဗုသိလူ၊ အာမောရိလူ။ ဂိရဂါရှိ လူ၊

¹⁶the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite,

¹⁷ဟိဝိ လူ၊ အာကိလူ၊ သိနိလူ၊

¹⁷the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite,

¹⁸အာဝဒိ လူ၊ ဇေမရိလူ၊ ဟာမသိ လူတည်း။ ထိုနောက်ခါနာန် အမျိုးသားအသီးသီးတို့သည် နှံ့ပြားကြ လေ၏။

¹⁸the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.

¹⁹The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha.

²⁴Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.

²⁵To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother’s name was Joktan.

²⁶Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

²⁷ဟဒေါရံ၊ ဥဇလ၊ ဒိကာလ၊

²⁷Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

²⁸ဩဗလအဘိမေလ၊ ရှေဘ၊

²⁸Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

²⁹ဩဖိရဟဝိလ၊ ယောဗပ်၊ ဤသူအပေါင်းတို့ သည် ယုတ္တန်သားဖြစ်သတည်း။

²⁹Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

³⁰သူတို့နေရာမူကား၊ မေရှမြို့မှသည် အရှေ့ မျက်နှာ၌သေဖာတောင်တိုင်အောင် ရှိသတည်း။

³⁰Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
