¹“गुप्ताअंग कुच्चिएका अथवा लिङ्ग काटिएका मानिसहरूले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूसंग परमप्रभुको पूजामा भाग लिन सएदैनन्।

¹He that is a eunuch, whether he have been crushed or cut, shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah.

²यदि कसैको माता-पिताको विधिपूर्वक विवाह भएको छैन। तिनीहरू पूजामा सम्मिलित हुन पाउने छैनन्। दश पुस्तासम्म तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरूले पनि पूजामा मिसिन पाउने छैनन्।

²A bastard shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah; even his tenth generation shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah.

³“अम्मोनी र मोआबी तथा तिनीहरूका सन्तानले दश पुस्तासम्म परमप्रभुको सभामा इस्राएल बासीहरूसँग सम्मिलित हुन सक्तैनन्।

³An Ammonite or Moabite shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah; even their tenth generation shall not come into the congregation of Jehovah for ever;

⁴किन? किनभने तिनीहरूले मिश्र देशबाट निएलेर यात्रा गरेको समयमा तिमीहरूलाई रोटी र पानी दिन अस्वीकार गरेका थिए। तिनीहरूले मेसोपोटामियामा पतोरको शहरमा बस्ने बओरको छोरा बिलामलाई तिमीहरूलाई सराप्नुको निम्ति पैसा दिएर बोलाए।

⁴because they met you not with bread and with water on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor, of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

⁵तर परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले बिलामका कुरा सुन्नु भएन र तिनको सराप परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूको निम्ति आशीर्वादमा परिणत गरिदिनु भयो। कारण परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुन्थ्यो।

⁵But Jehovah thy God would not listen to Balaam; and Jehovah thy God turned the curse into blessing unto thee, because Jehovah thy God loved thee.

⁶जबसम्म तिमीहरू बाँचिरहन्छौ तबसम्म अम्मोनी र मोआबीहरूसित कहिल्यै सन्धि स्थापित गर्नु हुँदैन तथा कदापि तिनीहरूसित मैत्री सन्धि गर्नु हुँदैन।

⁶Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

⁷“तिमीहरूले एदोमीहरूलाई घृणा गर्नु हुँदैन कारण उनीहरू तिमीहरूको सम्बन्धीहरू हो। तिमीहरूले इस्राएलीलाई घृणा गर्नु हुँदैन कारण तिनीहरूको भूमिमा तिमीहरू विदेशी थियौ।

⁷Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother. Thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a sojourner in his land.

⁸एदोमीहरू र मिश्र देशवासीहरूका तेस्त्रो पुस्ताका सन्तानहरूबाट इस्राएलीहरूसित परमप्रभुको पूजामा सामेल हुनु सएछन्।

⁸Children that are born to them shall come into the congregation of Jehovah in the third generation.

⁹“जब तिमीहरूका सिपाहीहरू आफ्नो शत्रुहरूसँग लडन युद्ध गर्न जान्छन प्रत्येक चीजबाट टाढामा बस्छन् जसले तिमीहरूलाई अशुद्ध बनाउँछ।

⁹When thou goest forth into camp against thine enemies, then keep thee from every evil thing.

¹⁰यदि तिमीहरूमध्ये केही स्वप्न दोषले अशुद्ध भएका छौ भने उसले छाउनी बाहिर जानु पर्छ।

¹⁰If there be with thee a man that is not clean from what hath happened in the night, then shall he go outside the camp; he shall not come inside the camp;

¹¹जब बेलुकी हुन्छ उसले पानीमा नुहाउनु पर्छ अनि सूर्य अस्तापछि ऊ फेरि छाउनीमा फर्किन सएछ।

¹¹and it shall be, towards evening, he shall bathe in water: and at the going down of the sun he may come inside the camp.

¹²“तिमीहरूले छाउनी बाहिर यस्तो ठाउँ पनि बनाउनु पर्छ जहाँ तिमीहरू दिसा गर्न सएछौ।

¹²Thou shalt have a place also outside the camp, and shalt go forth thither.

¹³तिमीहरूले आफ्ना अरू हतियारसंगै एउटा खन्ती पनि राख्नु पर्छ र जब दिसा लाग्छ खाडल खन्नु पर्छ अनि दिसा गरी त्यसलाई पुर्नु पर्छ।

¹³And thou shalt have a shovel amongst thy weapons, and it shall be, when thou sittest down abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which is come from thee.

¹⁴किन? किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर तिमीहरूको रक्षा गर्न अनि शत्रुहरूलाई तिमीहरूको नियन्त्रणमा ल्याउनलाई छाउनीभित्र बाहिर तिमीहरूसँगै हुनु हुनेछ। यसकारण छाउनी पवित्र राख्नु पर्छ। यदि परमप्रभुले केही कुरा घिनलाग्दो देख्नु भयो भने उहाँ तिमीहरूदेखि गईहाल्नु हुन्छ।

¹⁴For Jehovah thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; and thy camp shall be holy, that he see nothing unseemly with thee, and turn away from thee.

¹⁵“यदि कुनै कमारो भागेर तिमीहरूकहाँ आफ्नो मालिकलाई छोडेर आउँछ, तिमीले उसलाई उसको मालिककहाँ फर्काउनु हुँदैन।

¹⁵Thou shalt not hand over to his master a bondman that hath escaped from his master unto thee:

¹⁶आफ्नो इच्छा अनुसार उसले कहाँ मन पराउँछ, जुन शहर उसले रोज्छ, त्यही बस्न सकछ। तिमीले उसलाई कष्ट दिनु हुँदैन।

¹⁶he shall dwell with thee, even in thy midst, in the place that he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it seemeth good to him; thou shalt not oppress him.

¹⁷“एक जना इस्राएली स्त्री अथवा पुरूष मन्दिरको वेश्या हुनु सक्तैन।

¹⁷There shall be no prostitute amongst the daughters of Israel, nor any Sodomite amongst the sons of Israel.

¹⁸त्यस पुरूष अथवा स्त्रीले कमाएको धन परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको निम्ति पुर्याउनु हुँदैन, त्यस्तो कार्यबाट कमाएको धन परमप्रभुकोलागि उपयोग गर्नु हुँदैन।

¹⁸Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, or the price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God for any vow; for even both these are an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

¹⁹“जब तिमीहरूले कुनै अर्को इस्राएलीलाई ऋण दिन्छौ, उसबाट ब्याज तिमीहरूले लिनु हुँदैन। त्यो ऋण खानेकुरा पैसा अथवा जे पनि होस्।

¹⁹Thou shalt take no interest of thy brother, interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of anything that can be lent upon interest:

²⁰तिमीहरूले आफ्नो इस्राएली भाइलाई दिएको ऋणमा ब्याज लगाउनु हुँदैन तर कुनै विदेशीलाई दिएको ऋणमा ब्याज लगाउन सएछौ किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले दिनुभएको भूमिमा प्रवेश गर्नु लागेको छौ अनि तिमीहरूले जे गर्छौ त्यसमा परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले आशीर्वाद दिनुहुन्छ।

²⁰of a foreigner thou mayest take interest, but of thy brother thou shalt not take interest; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the business of thy hand in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

²¹“परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई चढाउँछु भनी जे भाकल गर्छौ त्यो चढाउनमा ढिलो नगर किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले त्यो दावी गर्नुहुन्छ र यदि आफूले गरेको भाकल पूरा गर्न नसके तिमीलाई पाप लाग्नेछ।

²¹When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou shalt not delay to perform it; for Jehovah thy God will certainly require it of thee, and it shall be sin in thee.

²²तर यदि भाकल गरेका छैनौं भने त्यो पाप लाग्ने छैन।

²²But if thou forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

²³तर आफूले गर्छु भनेको कुरो पूरा गर्नै पर्छ। यदि कुनै विशेष कुरो चढाउँछु भनी विषेश भाकल गरे त्यो तिमीहरूले पूरा गर्नु नै पर्छ। परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई भाकल गर्न लगाउनु भएको होइन, यसकारण आफूले गरेको भाकल पुरा गर्नै पर्छ।

²³What is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and do, as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God, the voluntary-offering that thou hast promised with thy mouth.

²⁴“जब तिमी कसैको दाखबारी भएर जान्छौ तिमीले जति खान सकछौ त्यहीं टिपेर खान सकछौ तर आफ्नो डालोमा हालेर घर लान सकदैनौ।

²⁴When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, thou mayest eat grapes thy fill, according to thy desire, but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

²⁵जब तिमी अरू मानिसको अन्नको खेत भएर कतै जान्छौ तिमीले सकेको अन्न टिपेर खान सकछौ तर हँसियाले अन्न काटेर घर लिएर जान सकदैनौ।

²⁵When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, thou mayest pluck ears with thy hand; but thou shalt not wave the sickle against thy neighbour's standing corn.
