¹हे परमप्रभु, परमेश्वर, तपाईं मेरो रक्षक हुनुहुन्छ, रातदिन म तपाईंलाई प्रार्थना गरिरहेकोछु।

¹{A Song, a Psalm for the sons of Korah. To the chief Musician. Upon Mahalath Leannoth. An instruction. Of Heman the Ezrahite.} Jehovah, God of my salvation, I have cried by day [and] in the night before thee.

²मेरो प्रार्थनाहरू प्रति कृपया ध्यान दिनुहोस्। कृपादानको निम्ति मेरो प्रार्थना सुनी दिनुहोस्।

²Let my prayer come before thee; incline thine ear unto my cry.

³मेरो प्राणसँग प्रशस्त त्यस्तो पीडा छँदै थियो! म चाँडै मर्ने छु।

³For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh to Sheol.

⁴मानिसहरूले मलाई मृत मानिस अथवा बाँच्नु परेको एकदम कमजोर, हीन मानिस जस्तो व्यवहार गर्दछन।

⁴I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no strength:

⁵मृत मानिसहरूको माझमा मलाई खोज्नु होस्। म चिहानमा लडिरहेको मुर्दा जस्तो छु। तपाईंले भुल्नु भएका मरिसकेका मानिसहरू माझ म एक हुँ। तपाईंबाट अलग्ग र हेलचेक्राईं भयो। सेला

⁵Prostrate among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave; whom thou rememberest no more, and who are cut off from thy hand.

⁶तपाईंले मलाई धर्तीको त्यो प्वालमा राख्नु भयो। हो तपाईंले मलाई त्यस्तो अन्धकार ठाउँमा राख्नु भयो।

⁶Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.

⁷परमेश्वर, तपाईं मसँग रिसाउनु भएको थियो, अनि मलाई सजाय दिनुभयो।

⁷Thy fury lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. Selah.

⁸मेरो साथीहरूले मलाई छाडी गए। सबैले मलाई अछुत व्यक्ति जस्तो छि-छि, दूर-दूर ब्यहावार गरे। म त्यस घरमा बन्द थिएँ अनि बाहिर जान सक्तिनथिएँ।

⁸Thou hast put my familiar friends far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

⁹मेरा आँखाहरू मेरो सम्पूर्ण दुःखहरूमा रूदाँ-रूदाँ पोल्न थालिसक्यो। हे परमप्रभु, म तपाईंलाई अटूट प्रार्थना गर्छु मेरो पाखुराहरू तपाईं प्रति प्रार्थनामा उठ्छन्।

⁹Mine eye consumeth by reason of affliction. Upon thee, Jehovah, have I called every day; I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

¹⁰हे परमप्रभु, के मृत मानिसहरूका लागि तपाईं आर्श्चय काम रच्नुहुन्छ? के भूतहरूमाथि उठ्छन् र तपाईंको प्रशंसा गर्छन्? अँहँ गर्दैनन्।

¹⁰Wilt thou do wonders to the dead? shall the shades arise and praise thee? Selah.

¹¹चिहानभित्र भएका मृत मानिसहरूले तपाईंको प्रेम बारे कुरा गर्न सक्ने छैनन्। मृत मानिसहरूले मृतकहरूको संसारमा तपाईंको विश्वासको विषयमा भन्न सक्ने छैनन्।

¹¹Shall thy loving-kindness be declared in the grave? thy faithfulness in Destruction?

¹²मृत मानिसहरू अंन्धकारमा लडिरहेका हुन्छन्, तपाईंले गर्नु भएका अचम्मका कुराहरू देख्न सक्तैनन्। मृत मानिसहरूले बिर्सिएको संसारमा तपाईंको धार्मिकताको कुरा गर्न सक्तैनन्।

¹²Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

¹³हे परमप्रभु, म तपाईंको सहायताको निम्ति प्रार्थना गरिरहेको छु। प्रत्येक प्रातःकालमा म तपाईंमा प्रार्थना गर्दछु।

¹³But as for me, Jehovah, I cry unto thee, and in the morning my prayer cometh before thee.

¹⁴हे परमप्रभु, किन तपाईंले मलाई त्यागनु भयो? किन मेरो कुरा सुन्न अस्वीकार गर्नुहुन्छ?

¹⁴Why, O Jehovah, castest thou off my soul? [why] hidest thou thy face from me?

¹⁵युवा अवस्थादेखि नै म कमजोर र रोगी थिएँ। मैले तपाईंको क्रोध सहें, म असहाय छु।

¹⁵I am afflicted and expiring from my youth up; I suffer thy terrors, [and] I am distracted.

¹⁶हे परप्रभु, तपाईं मसँग रिसाउनु भएको छ, अनि सजायले मलाई मार्दै छ।

¹⁶Thy fierce anger hath gone over me; thy terrors have brought me to nought:

¹⁷दुःखाई र पीडाहरू सधैं मसँग छन् म ती दुःखाई र पीडाहरूमा डुलीरहेको अनुभव गर्दछु।

¹⁷They have surrounded me all the day like water; they have compassed me about together.

¹⁸हे परमप्रभु, मेरा सारा मित्रहरू र प्रेमीहरू त्याग्नु मलाई वाध्य गराउनु भयो। खाली अन्धकार मात्र मसँग रहेको छ।

¹⁸Lover and associate hast thou put far from me: my familiar friends are darkness.
