Psalms

17

1TOUPA aw, ka dikna thu ja inla, ka kikou husa ngaikhia inla; ka thumna, juauthu genhat muka pawt hi lou-ah, bil na doh in;
1Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
2Ka tungthu pukna tuh na ma akipana pawt hi henla; na mitin khentuam neih louhna en hen.
2Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
3Ka lungtang na enchian a; janin na hongpha a; non endikta a bangmah na mu het kei a; ka kamin a genkhial kei ding ka chi chiltel ahi;
3Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
4Mihing thilhih ah jaw, na muka thu pawt jiakin mihing ngongtat lampi-a pai lou dingin ka kikem hoih ahi;
4Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
5Ka kalsuanten na lampi tuh a tawn ziahziaha, ka khete a tal ngeikei hi.
5Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
6Pathian aw, ka honsam jela, nang lah non dawng dinga: kei lamah na bil hondoh inla, ka thugen ngaikhia in;
6I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
7Nangmaha ginna koih peuhmahte kianga, na khut taklama amau sualte hondam jelpa aw, na chitna lamdang kilang sakin.
7Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
8Mit laimu bangin honkem inla, na kha nuaiahte honbu sakin.
8Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
9Mi gilou-salou honhihsiaa, hondou-a honum kim lakah.
9From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
10Amaute tuh amau thau-a umin a om ua, a kam un kisathei takin thu a gen jel uhi;
10They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
11Tuin jaw ka kalsuanna peuhmah uah a honum suakta a, leia honhihpuk dingin a mitte khawng uh ka tunguah a tusak uhi;
11They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
12Amah tuh humpinelkai sa keih ut mahmah bang leh, humpinelkai lunlai mun dai peuha buk niloulouh bang lel ahi.
12Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
13TOUPA aw, thou inla, amah maituah pih inla, kun sakin: ka hinna tuh mi gilou-salou lakah na namsauin humbit inla.
13Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
14TOUPA aw, na khutin mihingte lakah, khovel mihingte lakah, humbitin; amau tuam jaw tu damsunga a neih uh ahi a, a gil uh na gouin na dimsak naknaka; tate lungkim hunt akin a nei ua, a sum zat val uh a tangekte uh a sihsan jel uhi.Ken jaw diktatna neiin na mel ka mu dinga; nangmah batna neia ka hah hun chiangin ka lungkim hun mahmah ding hi.
14From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15Ken jaw diktatna neiin na mel ka mu dinga; nangmah batna neia ka hah hun chiangin ka lungkim hun mahmah ding hi.
15As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
