Daniel

8

1kumpipa Belsazar lal kum thum kumin mengmuhna ka kiangah hongkilanga, kei Danial kiang mahmah ah, a tunga ka kianga a hongkilat khit nungin.
1In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.
2Huan, mengmuhnain ka mua; huan hichi ahi a, ka muh laiin Susan inpi, Elam biala omah ka oma; huan mengmuhnain ka mu a, Ulai lui kiangah ka om hi.
2I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.
3Huchiin ka dak leh ka mua, huan ngaiin, huai lui ma takah belamtal khat ki nih nei a dinga: huan ki nihte a sang ua; himahleh khat sangin a dang pen a sang jawa, a sangjaw a hongtou nanung pen hi.
3Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4Belamtal tumlam leh, mallam leh, simlam nawtin ka mua; a maah sate kuamah a ding theikei uh; a khuta kipana suaktasak thei leng kuamah a om kei uh; himahleh amah deihlamin a hiha, a kiliansak hi.
4I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no animals could stand before him, neither was there any who could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.
5Huchia ka ngaihtuah laiin, ngaiin, lei pumpi maikaih tungah tum akipanin keltal khat a hongpaia, lei a khoih kha keia; huan huai kelin a mitte kikalah ki minthang khat a nei hi.
5As I was considering, behold, a male goat came from the west over the surface of the whole earth, and didn’t touch the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6Huan belamtal ki nih nei lui malama dinga ka muh kiangah a hongpaia, a thilhihtheihna in amah a delhta.
6He came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran on him in the fury of his power.
7Huan belamtal kiang chinah a hongpai ka mua, a tungah nakpiin a thangpai taa, belamtal tuh a boh taa, a ki nihte a hih tanta; huchiin belamtal ah a maa dinna ding thilhihtheihna a omta kei hi; himahleh leiah a puk suka, a mah a chila; a khuta kipan belamtal suakta sak ding kuamah a om kei hi.
7I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and struck the ram, and broke his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled on him; and there was none who could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8Huan keltal nakpi mahmahin a kilian saktaa: huchia a hat laiin, huai ki thupi a kitana; a mun ah ki li minthang van huih lite lamah a hong suak khe tou uh.
8The male goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of the sky.
9Huan huaite laka khat ki neu khat, thupi mahmah khat, a hong suak khiaa, sim lam leh, suahlam leh, gam thupi lamah.
9Out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious land .
10Huchiin a hong thupi mahmaha, van sepaihte tan pha hialin; huan aksi honte laka khenkhatte lei ah a pai khe suka, amau a chil hi.
10It grew great, even to the army of the sky; and some of the army and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled on them.
11A hi, a kilian saka, sepaihte Lalpa kiang pha nangawnin; huan amah akipan halmang thillat gige pen a la manga, a mun siangthou omna a pai khe suk hi.
11Yes, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the army; and it took away from him the continual burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
12Huan sepaihte huai kiangah tatlekna jiaka halmang thillat gige toh piakin a om ua; huchiin thutak leiah a pai suka, a utdanin a hiha, a loh ching hi.
12The army was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through disobedience; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.
13Huchiin mi siangthou thugen ka jaa; huan mi siangthou dang khatin thugensa kuahiam kiangah, Halmang thillat gige thu leh, tatlekna hihgawpa om, munsiangthoupen leh sepaihte khe nuaia chila om sak ding, tungtang thua mengmuhna bangtana sawt ding ahia? a chi a.
13Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the continual burnt offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the army to be trodden under foot?
14Huan aman ka kiangah, Nitaklam leh jinglam sang nih leh za thum sung tanin; huaichiangin munsiangthoupen silsiang ahi ding hi, a chi a.
14He said to me, To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15Huan hichi ahi a, kei, kei Danialin meng ka muh laiin, theihchet ka na tuma; huan, ngaiin, ka maah mihing kibatpih bang a hong dinga.
15It happened, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it; and behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16Huan Ulai gei kikalah, mihing aw, kikoua, Gabriel, hiai mipa mengmuhna theichian sakin, a chih ka jaa.
16I heard a man’s voice between the banks of the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17Huchibangin ka dinna mun naihin a hongpaia; huchia a hongpai laiin, ka lautaa, ka maiin lei ka sia: himahleh aman ka kiang ah, Na theithei hia, Aw mihing tapa; mengmuh lah tawp hun ading ahi ngala, a chi a.
17So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was frightened, and fell on my face: but he said to me, Understand, son of man; for the vision belongs to the time of the end.
18Huan kei a honhoupih laiin, kei lei lam ngain nakpi takin ka ihmu taa: himahleh a hon khoiha, a honding tang saka.
18Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground; but he touched me, and set me upright.
19Huan, aman, Ngaiin, thangpaihna hun tawp lama bang ahia hongom ding ka honthei sak ding: tawp hun sehsa ading lah ahi ngala, a chi a.
19He said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.
20Belamtal na muh ki nih nei, Media leh Persia kumpipate ahi uh.
20The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.
21Huan huai keltal huham Grik kumpipa ahi: huan a mitte kikala om ki thupi kumpipa khatna ahi.
21The rough male goat is the king of Greece: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22Huan huai akitanpen ahihleh, huai muna li a hongom khiaktouhna, huai nama kipanin gam li a hong ding khe dia; himahleh amah thilhihtheihna toh hi louin.
22As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.
23Huan a gam hun tawpna uah, talekmite a hong khankhit chiang un, kumpipa lauhuai melpu, leh thugen haksate theisiam, a hongom ding hi.
23In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have come to the full, a king of fierce face, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24huchiin a thilhihtheina a hat dia, himahleh amah mah thilhihtheihna hi louin; huan lamdang pipiin a hihse dinga, a loh ching dinga, a ut danin a hih ding: huchiin mi hatte leh mi siangthoute a hihse ding hi.
24His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper and do his pleasure; and he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.
25Huan amah dantheihin khutnasepna a khutah a lohching sak ding; a lungtangin a kilian sak dinga, a bitna uah tampite a hihmangding; lalte Lal dou ding in leng a ding ding; himahleh khut louin hihkhapin a om ding hi.
25Through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and in their security shall he destroy many: he shall also stand up against the prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
26Huan nitaklamte leh jingsanglamte mengmuhna kigen a dik ahi; himahleh mengmuhna khak bikbek in; a hong tung ding ni tampi ading a hih lai jiakin a chi a.Huchiin kei Danial ka sibupa; ni bangzah hiam ka china hi; huan, ka thoua, kumpipa na ka sema; huan mengmuhnaah lamdang ka saa, himahleh kuamahin a theisiam kei.
26The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true: but seal up the vision; for it belongs to many days to come.
27Huchiin kei Danial ka sibupa; ni bangzah hiam ka china hi; huan, ka thoua, kumpipa na ka sema; huan mengmuhnaah lamdang ka saa, himahleh kuamahin a theisiam kei.
27I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick certain days; then I rose up, and did the king’s business: and I wondered at the vision, but none understood it.
