1TOUPA tuh phat un, Aw, TOUPA kiangah kipahthu hilh un; amah lah a hoih ngala: a chitna leng khantawna om ding ahi ngala.
1Praise Yahweh! Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
2Kua ahia TOUPA thilhih thupitakte gen theia a phatna tengteng theisak vek thei?
2Who can utter the mighty acts of Yahweh, or fully declare all his praise?
3Vaihawmna kem hoihten nuam a sa uhi, chiklai peuha leng diktat taka hihmi toh.
3Blessed are those who keep justice. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.
4TOUPA aw, na mite na deihsaknain hontheigige inla, aw, na hotdamna toh hongvehin;
4Remember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,
5Na mi telte hamphatna ka muhtheiha, na namte kipahna ah ka nopsak theiha, na gouluahte toh ka suan theihna dingin.
5that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.
6Ka pipute utoh thil ka na hihkhial ua, thilgilou ka hih ua, gilou takinka hihta uhi.
6We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.
7Ka pipute un Aigupta gama na thillamdang hihte a theisiam kei ua; na chitna thupitak a theigige ta kei ua; tuipi ah a hel zota ua, Tuipi San ah.
7Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea .
8Huchi pipiin leng a mah minjiakin amau a hondamtaa, a thilhihtheihna thupitak a theihsakna dingin.
8Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.
9Tuipi San a taia, huchiin a kangta a; huan amau gamdaia pi paisuak bangin tui thukte ah a pi paisuakta hi.
9He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.
10Amau homi khut akipan a hondama, melma khut akipan a tanta hi.
10He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11Tuiten amau doute a khuh khina, khat leng dama pawt a om ta kei uhi.
11The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.
12Huai laiin a thute a gingta ua; a phatna la a sa uhi.
12Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
13Himahleh a thilhihte tuh a mangngilh zok ua; a lunggelna tuh a ngak ngamta kei uhi;
13They soon forgot his works. They didn’t wait for his counsel,
14Gamdai ah thil a lungulh mahmah ua, gam keu ah Pathian a zeetta uhi.
14but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.
15A thil nget uh a pia a; himahleh a hinna uah gawnna a lutsakta hi.
15He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
16A giah mun uah Mosi a hazata ua, TOUPA mi siangthou Aron toh.
16They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, Yahweh’s saint.
17Lei tuh a kamkaa, Dathan a valhta, Abiram pawlte tuh a khuh khinvek hi.
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18A pawl lak uah mei hihkuanin a hongoma, meikuang ah mi gilousaloute a kangmangta uhi.
18A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.
19Horeb tang ah bawngnou lim a siam ua, a lim sun tuh a beta uhi.
19They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.
20Huchibangin a thupina uh bawngtal loupa ne bangphet a suaksakta uhi.
20Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.
21Pathian a hondampa uh a mangngilhta ua, Aigupta gama thil thupi taktak.
21They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
22Ham gama thillamdangte, Tuipi San dung athil mulkimhuaite hihte.
22Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea .
23Huaijiakin, a hihmang kha dinga, chi-a, a hehna hihkik dingin a mi tel Mosi tuh a lutna dingah a maah na ding kei ngial le houh, a hihmang ding chih a gen hi.
23Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them.
24A hi, gam deihhuai tak a ngaineu ua, a thu tuh a gingta nuam kei ua;
24Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t believe his word,
25A puanin uahte khawng a phun zota ua, TOUPA aw tuh a ngaikhe nuam kei uhi.
25but murmured in their tents, and didn’t listen to Yahweh’s voice.
26Huaijiakin amau lamah a khut ajaka, amaute tuh gamdaia a hihpukna ding leh,
26Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
27A chi suan dingte uh nam chih laka a hihpuka, gam china a hihjakna dingin.
27that he would overthrow their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
28Boal-peor lamah a velh ua, misi kianga thil latte tuh a ne samta uhi.
28They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29Huchibangin a thilhihte un amah a hihheh ua; huchiin a tunguah hi honlengta hi.
29Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.
30Huai laiin Phinehas a dinga, vai a hawma: huchiin hi tuh daihsakin a omta hi.
30Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.
31Huai tuh amah tunga diktatnaa seh ahi, khantawnin suan tengteng tanin.
31That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.
32Meribah tuite ah tekhawng leng amah a hihheh ua, huchiin amau jiakin Mosi tungah thilhoihlou a tung hialta hi.
32They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;
33A kha tungah a hel ua, a mukin kilawmlou pi thu a gen jiakin;
33because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.
34TOUPAN a kiang ua hihman thu a piak bangin mipite a hihmang kei ua.
34They didn’t destroy the peoples, as Yahweh commanded them,
35Nam chih tuh a kihelpih ua, a thilhihte uh tuh a ching jaw ua;
35but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.
36A milim nate khawng uh a sem ua; huaite tuh amau adingin thang a honghita:
36They served their idols, which became a snare to them.
37A hi, dawi kiangah tekhawng a tapate a tanute un a kithoih ua.
37Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38Sisan gensiatbei, a tapate uleh a tanute u sisan ngei a suahta ua, huaitein Kanaan gam milimte kiangah a kithoih uhi; huai gam tuh sisanin a na ninta hi.
38They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.
39Huchibangin a nasepte ua hihbuahin a om ua, a thilhihte un ang a kawmta uhi.
39Thus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.
40Huaijiakin TOUPA a mit tungah a thangpaitaa, a gouluah tuh a kih hi.
40Therefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
41Huchiin amau tuh nam chihkhut ah a paia; amau hoten a tunguah vai a hawmta uhi.
41He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
42Amau douten a nuaisiah ua, a khut nuai uah hihneuin a omta uhi.
42Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
43Tamveipi amau a humbita; himahleh a lunggelna uah a hel nak uhi, a gitlou a satlouhna uah hihniamin aomta uhi.
43Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
44Huchi pipiin leng aman, a kikou husa uh a jain, a mangbat uh a limsak ahi.
44Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.
45A thukhun tuh amau a theisak gigea a chitna thupidan bang jelin alungsim a kisikta hi.
45He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
46Sala pite tengteng tuh amau a hehpihsak hi.
46He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
47TOUPA ka Pathian u-aw, honhondam inla, nam chih laka kipan honpikhawmin, na min siangthou phat ding leh na phatna suang dingin.TOUPA, Israelte Pathian, phatin om heh, khantawn akipan khantawn phain leng. Mi tengtengin, Amen, chi uhen, TOUPA tuh phat un.
47Save us, Yahweh, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise!
48TOUPA, Israelte Pathian, phatin om heh, khantawn akipan khantawn phain leng. Mi tengtengin, Amen, chi uhen, TOUPA tuh phat un.
48Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah! BOOK V
