38

1Toupa aw, hehin hontai kenla; thangpaiin honsawi sam ken.
1Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your wrath, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
2Na thalte tuh ka sa ah a tala, na khut tuh ka tungah a tu bukbuk ngala.
2For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.
3Na lunghihlouhna jiakin ka sa ah damlai himhim a om kei hi; ka thulimlouhna jiakin ka guhte ah damlai himhim a om sam kei hi.
3There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.
4Ka thulimlouhnaten ka lu a tum manga, puakgik tak bang, ka puak zoh vuallouh ahi.
4For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.
5Ka haina jiakin ka chikehte a uihin a se khinta hi.
5My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, because of my foolishness.
6Ka chi a na a, ka kun ngiungiaua; nitumin lungkham in ka mau ka mau hi.
6I am pained and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.
7Ka kawng a lum huthut veka; ka sa ah leng damlai himhim a om kei hi.
7For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.
8Ka baha, ka sidup keihkuiha; ka lungtang noplouhna jikain ka thum hithit hi.
8I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.
9Toupa ka deihlam tengteng na theia; ka thumna leng na lakah sel ahi kei hi.
9Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.
10Ka lung a phu dupdupa, hatna ka neita kei; ka mit vakna nasanin hon omlouh santa hi.
10My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.
11Hon itte leh ka lawmte ka natna lakah a kihuikhe jel ua; ka sanggamte leng gamla pi ah a ding uhi.
11My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.
12Ka hinna hihmang tuma zongten honmatna ding un thang a kam ua; ka siatna ding zongten leng thu hoihlou takte a gen nak uhi; nitumin khemna thute a ngaihtuah uhi.
12They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.
13Himahleh kei tuh bengngong bangin za louin ka om a; pau theilou mi kamka ngeilou bangin ka om hi.
13But I, as a deaf man, don’t hear. I am as a mute man who doesn’t open his mouth.
14A hi, mi pau za theilou, a kama taihilhna mawngmawng pawt ngeilou bang in ka om hi.
14Yes, I am as a man who doesn’t hear, in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15Toupa aw, nangmah kon lamen ngala; Toupa ka Pathian aw, nang non dawng hi.
15For in you, Yahweh, do I hope. You will answer, Lord my God.
16Huchilou in jaw hon otsan dia, ka khe a teu takin ka tungah a kihihlian kha ding uh, ka chi ahi.
16For I said, “Don’t let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”
17Ka puk dekdek ngala, ka lungngaihna leng ka maah a om gige hi.
17For I am ready to fall. My pain is continually before me.
18Ka thulimlouhna tuh ka pulak dinga; ka khelhna jiaka lungngaiin ka om ding ahi.
18For I will declare my iniquity. I will be sorry for my sin.
19Himahleh hondoute a halh ua, a hat uhi: diklou pi a hon hote kilawmlou piin a pung ua.
19But my enemies are vigorous and many. Those who hate me without reason are numerous.
20Thilhoih thil gilou a thuk nakte tuh thilhoih ka delh jiak in hondoute ahi uhi.
20They who also render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow what is good.
21Toupa aw, honpai san mahmah kenla; ka Pathian aw, hon gamlat mahmah ken.Toupa hondampa aw, hon panpih ding in, kin meng in.
21Don’t forsake me, Yahweh. My God, don’t be far from me.
22Toupa hondampa aw, hon panpih ding in, kin meng in.
22Hurry to help me, Lord, my salvation.
