¹ در روز اول ماه از سال یازدهم، کلام خداوند بر من آمد و چنین فرمود:

¹And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, [that] the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

² «ای انسان فانی، چون صور دربارهٔ اورشلیم چنین گفت: هَه، دروازهٔ مردم شکسته است، قدرت بازرگانی او تمام شده! او دیگر رقیب ما نخواهد بود.»

²Son of man, because Tyre hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken, the gate of the peoples! she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished [now] she is laid waste;

³ پس خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «توجّه کن ای صور، من علیه تو هستم. من ملّتهای بسیاری را علیه تو برمی‌انگیزم همان‌طور که دریا امواج خود را برمی‌انگیزد.

³therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

⁴ ایشان دیوارهای صور را نابود خواهند کرد و بُرجهای آن را خواهند شکست، خاک آن را خواهم رُفت و آن را صخره‌ای عریان خواهم ساخت.

⁴And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers. And I will scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.

⁵ آن در میان دریا مکانی برای گستردن تورها خواهد بود. خداوند متعال سخن گفته است. آن مورد تاراج ملّتها قرار خواهد گرفت

⁵She shall be [a place] for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah; and she shall become a spoil for the nations.

⁶ و کسانی‌که در شهرهای سرزمین اصلی هستند با شمشیر کشته خواهند شد. آنگاه خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

⁶And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁷ پس خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «من نبوکدنصر پادشاه بابل، شاه شاهان را به همراه اسبها، ارّابه‌ها، سواره‌نظام و ارتش بزرگ و نیرومند از شمال خواهم آورد.

⁷For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring from the north, against Tyre, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the king of kings, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and an assemblage, and much people.

⁸ کسانی‌که در سرزمین اصلی هستند با شمشیر کشته خواهند شد. دشمن در برابر تو سنگرها خواهد کند و پشته‌ها خواهد ساخت و سقفی از سپرها برخواهد افراشت.

⁸He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field, and he shall make forts against thee, and cast up a mound against thee, and lift up the target against thee;

⁹ او با دژکوب‌ها به دیوارهای تو خواهد زد و با تبر بُرجهای تو را خواهد شکست.

⁹and he shall set his engines of attack against thy walls, and with his spikes he shall break down thy towers.

¹⁰ اسبانش آن‌قدر زیاد خواهند بود که غبارشان تو را بپوشاند. صدای سواران، گاریها و ارّابه‌ها دیوارهای تو را به لرزه خواهند انداخت، هنگامی‌که از دروازه‌هایت چون شهری که دیوارهایش شکسته بگذرد.

¹⁰By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee; thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter through thy gates, as a city is entered into, wherein is made a breach.

¹¹ خیابانهایت را زیر سُم اسبهایش لگدمال خواهد کرد. مردمِ تو را از دَم شمشیر خواهند گذراند و ستونهای مستحکم تو به زمین فرو خواهند ریخت.

¹¹With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets; he shall slay thy people by the sword, and the pillars of thy strength shall go down to the ground.

¹² ایشان ثروت تو را به تاراج خواهند برد و کالاهایت را غارت خواهند کرد. دیوارها را ویران و خانه‌های با شکوه تو را نابود خواهند کرد. سنگ و چوب و خاک تو را در آب خواهند ریخت.

¹²And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy wares; and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses; and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters.

¹³ آهنگ سرود تو را خاموش خواهم کرد و آوای چنگ‌هایت دیگر شنیده نخواهد شد.

¹³And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

¹⁴ من تو را صخرهٔ عریانی خواهم کرد، جایی که در آن تور می‌گسترانند. تو هرگز بازسازی نخواهی شد.»

¹⁴And I will make thee a bare rock; thou shalt be [a place] for the spreading of nets; thou shalt be built no more: for I Jehovah have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁵ خداوند متعال در مورد شهر صور می‌فرماید: «هنگامی‌که مجروحان ناله می‌کنند و کشتار در میان تو رخ می‌دهد، آیا کرانه‌هایت از سقوط تو نخواهند لرزید؟

¹⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to Tyre: Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

¹⁶ آنگاه همهٔ پادشاهان کشورهای ساحلی از تختهای خود فرود خواهند آمد و ردا و جامهٔ قلّابدوزی خود را از تن بیرون می‌آورند. وحشت ایشان را خواهد پوشاند. بر روی زمین خواهند نشست، هر لحظه خواهند لرزید و از سرنوشت تو در شگفت خواهند شد.

¹⁶And all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling, they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble [every] moment, and be astonied because of thee.

¹⁷ برای تو سوگواری نموده، چنین خواهند سرایید: «شهر مشهور ویران گشت، کشتی‌هایش از دریا رانده شده‌اند. مردم این شهر بر دریاها حکمرانی می‌کردند و تمام کسانی را که در ساحل دریا زندگی می‌کردند به وحشت می‌انداختند.

¹⁷And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How hast thou perished, that wast inhabited from the seas, O renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, -- she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all them that dwell therein!

¹⁸ اکنون در روز سقوط آن، جزایر می‌لرزند، و مردم از چنین خرابی در هراسند.»

¹⁸Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; and the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.

¹⁹ خداوند، متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «هنگامی‌که تو را شهر ویرانه‌ای سازم مانند شهرهای متروک، تو را با آبهای عظیم ژرفناک می‌پوشانم.

¹⁹For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters cover thee:

²⁰ آنگاه من تو را به دنیای مردگان می‌اندازم تا به مردم زمان قدیم بپیوندی. در میان ویرانه‌های باستانی، با کسانی‌که به دنیای مردگان فرو می‌روند در دنیای مردگان جای خواهی داشت. تو را نمونهٔ وحشتناکی خواهم کرد و سرانجام تو چنین خواهد بود. مردم به دنبال تو خواهند گشت، امّا هرگز یافت نخواهی شد.» خداوند متعال چنین فرموده است.

²⁰then will I bring thee down, with them that go down to the pit, to the people of old time, and will cause thee to dwell in the lower parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living.

²¹ تو را نمونهٔ وحشتناکی خواهم کرد و سرانجام تو چنین خواهد بود. مردم به دنبال تو خواهند گشت، امّا هرگز یافت نخواهی شد.» خداوند متعال چنین فرموده است.

²¹And I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no [more]; and thou shalt be sought for, and shalt never be found again, for ever, saith the Lord Jehovah.
