¹ مرز شمالی سرزمین از شرق تا دریای مدیترانه و شهر حتلون تا گذرگاه حمات، شهر عینون و مرز بین دمشق و حمات می‌باشد. سهم هر طایفه یک بخش از سرزمینی است که از مرز شرقی شروع می‌شود و به طرف غرب تا دریای مدیترانه ادامه پیدا می‌کند. نامهای ایشان از شمال به جنوب به این ترتیب است: دان، اشیر، نفتالی، منسی، افرایم، رئوبین، و یهودا.

¹And these are the names of the tribes: From the north end along the way of Hethlon, as one entereth into Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward unto near Hamath -- the east and west side [belonging] to him -- shall Dan have one [portion].

² قسمت دیگر زمین را که در جنوب سرزمین یهودا قرار دارد، برای استفادهٔ ویژه جدا کنید. درازای آن دوازده و نیم کیلومتر و پهنای آن به اندازهٔ زمین طایفه‌های دیگر خواهد بود. معبد بزرگ در این قسمت قرار خواهد گرفت.

²And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the west side, Asher one.

³ در مرکز این زمین، بخش ویژه‌ای به درازای دوازده و نیم کیلومتر و پهنای پنج کیلومتر برای خداوند اختصاص داده شود.

³And by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, Naphtali one.

⁴ بخشی از این زمین مقدّس به کاهنان تعلّق خواهد داشت. سهم ایشان از شرق به غرب دوازده و نیم کیلومتر و از شمال به جنوب پنج کیلومتر خواهد بود و معبد بزرگ خداوند در مرکز آن قرار خواهد داشت.

⁴And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, Manasseh one.

⁵ این بخش از زمین مقدّس به کاهنان نسل صادوق تعلّق دارد. ایشان با وفاداری مرا خدمت کردند و مانند لاویان دیگری که به مردم پیوستند تا خطا کنند، رفتار نکردند.

⁵And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, Ephraim one.

⁶ بنابراین سهم ایشان بخش ویژه‌ای در کنار زمینی که متعلّق به لاویان است، می‌باشد و مقدّس‌ترین بخش‌ها خواهد بود.

⁶And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, Reuben one.

⁷ لاویان نیز، بخش ویژه‌ای در جنوب زمین کاهنان خواهند داشت که درازای آن دوازده و نیم کیلومتر و پهنای آن پنج کیلومتر خواهد بود.

⁷And by the border of Reuben, from the east side unto the west side, Judah one.

⁸ بهترین بخش زمین برای خداوند در نظر گرفته شده است، هیچ بخشی از این نمی‌تواند فروخته یا تعویض شود و یا به کسی انتقال یابد. این زمین مقدّس است و به خدا تعلّق دارد.

⁸And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the heave-offering that ye shall offer, five and twenty thousand [cubits] in breadth, and in length as one of the parts from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.

⁹ باقیماندهٔ زمین به پهنای دو کیلومتر و نیم و درازای دوازده و نیم کیلومتر، مقدّس نیست و برای استفاده عموم مردم است. ایشان می‌توانند آنجا زندگی کنند و زمین را مورد استفاده قرار دهند. شهر باید در مرکز آن باشد.

⁹The heave-offering that ye shall offer unto Jehovah shall be five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth.

¹⁰ این شهر به شکل مربّع به ضلع دو کیلومتر و دویست و پنجاه متر است.

¹⁰And for them, for the priests, shall be the holy heave-offering, toward the north five and twenty thousand, and toward the west the breadth ten thousand, and toward the east the breadth ten thousand, and toward the south the length five and twenty thousand: and the sanctuary of Jehovah shall be in the midst of it.

¹¹ در پیرامون شهر، زمینی خالی به عرض صد و بیست و پنج متر قرار دارد.

¹¹[It shall be] for the priests that are hallowed of the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge and went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

¹² محصولات باقیماندهٔ زمین در کنار جنوبی زمین مقدّس که پنج کیلومتر مربّع است، باید برای غذای ساکنین شهر صرف شود.

¹²And this offering heaved from the heave-offering of the land shall be unto them a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites.

¹³ هرکسی که در شهر زندگی می‌کند، از هر طایفه‌‌ای که باشد می‌تواند در آن زمین کشاورزی کند.

¹³And answering to the border of the priests, the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: the whole length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.

¹⁴ بنابراین کلّ زمین جدا شده که شامل زمین مقدّس و شهر می‌شود دوازده و نیم کیلومتر می‌باشد.

¹⁴And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the first-fruits of the land: for it is holy unto Jehovah.

¹⁵ قسمت شرق و غرب این منطقه شامل معبد بزرگ، زمینهای کاهنان، لاویان و شهر می‌باشد، باقیمانده به فرمانروا تعلّق دارد. از شرق به مرز شرقی و غرب به دریای مدیترانه می‌رسد، و در شمال با زمین یهودا و در جنوب با زمین بنیامین هم مرز است.

¹⁵And the five thousand that are left in the breadth over against the five and twenty thousand, shall be a common [place] for the city, for dwellings and for suburbs: and the city shall be in the midst of it.

¹⁶ در جنوب این بخش ویژه هریک از طایفه‌های باقیمانده قسمتی از این سرزمین را از مرز شرقی به طرف غرب تا دریای مدیترانه به این ترتیب از شمال به جنوب دریافت می‌کنند. بنیامین، شمعون، یساکار، زبولون و جاد.

¹⁶And these shall be the measures thereof: the north side four thousand and five hundred [cubits], and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.

¹⁷ در سمت جنوب سرزمین طایفهٔ جاد، مرز آن از جنوب غربی از تامار و از آنجا تا چشمه‌های مریبوت و از سوی شمال غربی تا مرز مصر و دریای مدیترانه ادامه دارد.

¹⁷And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty [cubits], and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.

¹⁸ خداوند متعال فرمود: «این ترتیبی است که زمینها باید بین طایفه‌های اسرائیل تقسیم شود.»

¹⁸And the residue in length, alongside the holy heave-offering, shall be ten thousand eastward and ten thousand westward: it shall be alongside the holy heave-offering; and the increase thereof shall be for the support of them that serve the city.

¹⁹ شهر اورشلیم دوازده دروازه خواهد داشت. هریک از چهار دیوار آن دو هزار و دویست و پنجاه متر درازا خواهد داشت، و سه دروازه در هر دیوار آن خواهد بود و هریک به نام یکی از طایفه‌ها خوانده خواهد شد. دروازه‌های دیوار شمالی به نامهای رئوبین، یهودا و لاوی، دروازه‌های دیوار شرقی به نامهای یوسف، بنیامین و دان، دروازه‌های دیوار جنوبی به نامهای شمعون، یساکار و زبولون و دروازه‌های دیوار غربی به نامهای جاد، اشیر و نفتالی خوانده خواهند شد. پیرامون دیوارهای شهر نُه کیلومتر خواهد بود و نام شهر از اکنون «خدا آنجاست» خوانده خواهد شد.

¹⁹And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.

²⁰ پیرامون دیوارهای شهر نُه کیلومتر خواهد بود و نام شهر از اکنون «خدا آنجاست» خوانده خواهد شد.

²⁰The whole heave-offering shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand; ye shall offer the holy heave-offering foursquare with the possession of the city.

²¹And the rest shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy heave-offering and of the possession of the city, in front of the five and twenty thousand of the heave-offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, answering to the [other] portions: it shall be for the prince; and the holy heave-offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst of it.

²²And from the possession of the Levites and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which shall be the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

²³And as for the rest of the tribes: from the east side unto the west side, Benjamin one [portion].

²⁴And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side, Simeon one.

²⁵And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto the west side, Issachar one.

²⁶And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto the west side, Zebulun one.

²⁷And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side, Gad one.

²⁸And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be from Tamar [to] the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, by the torrent, unto the great sea.

²⁹This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord Jehovah.

³⁰And these are the goings out of the city. On the north side, four thousand and five hundred [cubits] by measure.

³¹And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.

³²And at the east side four thousand and five hundred, and three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.

³³And at the south side four thousand and five hundred [cubits] by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.

³⁴At the west side four thousand and five hundred, [and] their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.

³⁵Round about it was eighteen thousand [cubits]; and the name of the city from that day, Jehovah is there.
