¹Cum! Cînd vreunul din voi are vreo neînţelegere cu altul, îndrăzneşte el să se judece cu el la cei nelegiuiţi şi nu la sfinţi?

¹Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

²Nu ştiţi că sfinţii vor judeca lumea? Şi dacă lumea va fi judecată de voi, sînteţi voi nevrednici să judecaţi lucruri de foarte mică însemnătate?

²Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

³Nu ştiţi că noi vom judeca pe îngeri? Cu cît mai mult lucrurile vieţii acesteia?

³Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

⁴Deci, cînd aveţi neînţelegeri pentru lucrurile vieţii acesteia, voi puneţi judecători pe aceia pe cari Biserica nu -i bagă în seamă?

⁴If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?

⁵Spre ruşinea voastră zic lucrul acesta. Astfel, nu este între voi nici măcar un singur om înţelept, care să fie în stare să judece între frate şi frate?

⁵I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

⁶Dar un frate se duce la judecată cu alt frate, şi încă înaintea necredincioşilor!

⁶But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

⁷Chiar faptul că aveţi judecăţi între voi, este un cusur pe care -l aveţi. Pentruce nu suferiţi mai bine să fiţi nedreptăţiţi? Dece nu răbdaţi mai bine paguba?

⁷Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

⁸Dar voi singuri sînteţi aceia cari nedreptăţiţi şi păgubiţi, şi încă pe fraţi!

⁸No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.

⁹Nu ştiţi că cei nedrepţi nu vor moşteni Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu? Nu vă înşelaţi în privinţa aceasta: nici curvarii, nici închinătorii la idoli, nici preacurvarii, nici malahii, nici sodomiţii,

⁹Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

¹⁰nici hoţii, nici cei lacomi, nici beţivii, nici defăimătorii, nici răpareţii nu vor moşteni Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu.

¹⁰nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.

¹¹Şi aşa eraţi unii din voi! Dar aţi fost spălaţi, aţi fost sfinţiţi, aţi fost socotiţi neprihăniţi, în Numele Domnului Isus Hristos, şi prin Duhul Dumnezeului nostru.

¹¹Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹²Toate lucrurile îmi sînt îngăduite, dar nu toate sînt de folos; toate lucrurile îmi sînt îngăduite, dar nimic nu trebuie să pună stăpînire pe mine.

¹²“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.

¹³Mîncările sînt pentru pîntece, şi pîntecele este pentru mîncări. Şi Dumnezeu va nimici şi pe unul şi pe celelalte. Dar trupul nu este pentru curvie: el este pentru Domnul, şi Domnul este pentru trup.

¹³“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

¹⁴Şi Dumnezeu, care a înviat pe Domnul, ne va învia şi pe noi cu puterea Sa.

¹⁴Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

¹⁵Nu ştiţi că trupurile voastre sînt mădulare ale lui Hristos? Voi lua eu mădularele lui Hristos, şi voi face din ele mădulare ale unei curve? Nicidecum!

¹⁵Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!

¹⁶Nu ştiţi că cine se lipeşte de o curvă, este un singur trup cu ea? Căci este zis: ,,Cei doi se vor face un singur trup``.

¹⁶Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two,” says he, “will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24

¹⁷Dar cine se lipeşte de Domnul, este un singur duh cu El.

¹⁷But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

¹⁸Fugiţi de curvie! Orice alt păcat, pe care -l face omul, este un păcat săvîrşit afară din trup; dar cine curveşte, păcătuieşte împotriva trupului său.

¹⁸Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

¹⁹Nu ştiţi că trupul vostru este Templul Duhului Sfînt, care locuieşte în voi, şi pe care L-aţi primit dela Dumnezeu? Şi că voi nu sînteţi ai voştri?

¹⁹Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,

²⁰Căci aţi fost cumpăraţi cu un preţ. Proslăviţi dar pe Dumnezeu în trupul şi în duhul vostru, cari sînt ale lui Dumnezeu.

²⁰for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
