¹Moise s'a suit din cîmpia Moabului pe muntele Nebo, pe vîrful muntelui Pisga, în faţa Ierihonului. Şi Domnul i -a arătat toată ţara: dela Galaad pînă la Dan,

¹Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan,

²tot ţinutul lui Neftali, ţara lui Efraim şi Manase, toată ţara lui Iuda pînă la marea de apus,

²and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the hinder sea,

³partea de miază-zi, împrejurimile Iordanului, valea Ierihonului, cetatea finicilor, pînă la Ţoar.

³and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.

⁴Domnul i -a zis: ,,Aceasta este ţara pe care am jurat că o voi da lui Avraam, lui Isaac şi lui Iacov, zicînd: ,O voi da seminţei tale.` Ţi-am arătat ca s'o vezi cu ochii tăi; dar nu vei intra în ea.``

⁴Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

⁵Moise, robul Domnului, a murit acolo, în ţara Moabului, după porunca Domnului.

⁵So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Yahweh.

⁶Şi Domnul l -a îngropat în vale, în ţara Moabului, faţă în faţă cu Bet-Peor. Nimeni nu i -a cunoscut mormîntul pînă în ziua de azi.

⁶He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth Peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day.

⁷Moise era în vîrstă de o sută douăzeci de ani cînd a murit; vederea nu -i slăbise, şi puterea nu -i trecuse.

⁷Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

⁸Copiii lui Israel au plîns pe Moise treizeci de zile, în cîmpia Moabului; şi zilele acelea de plîns şi de jale pentru Moise s'au sfîrşit.

⁸The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.

⁹Iosua, fiul lui Nun, era plin de duhul înţelepciunii, căci Moise îşi pusese mînile peste el. Copiii lui Israel au ascultat de el, şi au făcut potrivit cu poruncile pe cari le dăduse lui Moise Domnul.

⁹Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: and the children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

¹⁰În Israel nu s'a mai ridicat prooroc ca Moise, pe care Domnul să -l fi cunoscut faţă în faţă.

¹⁰There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,

¹¹Niciunul nu poate fi pus alături de el, în ce priveşte toate semnele şi minunile pe cari a trimes Dumnezeu să le facă în ţara Egiptului împotriva lui Faraon, împotriva supuşilor lui şi împotriva întregei ţări,

¹¹in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

¹²şi în ce priveşte toate semnele înfricoşătoare pe cari le -a făcut Moise cu mînă tare înaintea întregului Israel

¹²and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses worked in the sight of all Israel.
