¹Urmaţi dar pilda lui Dumnezeu ca nişte copii prea iubiţi.

¹Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.

²Trăiţi în dragoste, dupăcum şi Hristos ne -a iubit, şi S'a dat pe Sine pentru noi ,,ca un prinos şi ca o jertfă de bun miros``, lui Dumnezeu.

²Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

³Curvia, sau orice altfel de necurăţie, sau lăcomia de avere, nici să nu fie pomenite între voi, aşa cum se cuvine unor sfinţi.

³But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

⁴Să nu se audă nici cuvinte porcoase, nici vorbe nechibzuite, nici glume proaste, cari nu sînt cuviincioase; ci mai de grabă cuvinte de mulţămire.

⁴nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.

⁵Căci ştiţi bine că niciun curvar, niciun stricat, niciun lacom de avere, care este un închinător la idoli, n'are parte de moştenire în Împărăţia lui Hristos şi a lui Dumnezeu.

⁵Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

⁶Nimeni să nu vă înşele cu vorbe deşerte; căci din pricina acestor lucruri vine mînia lui Dumnezeu peste oamenii neascultători.

⁶Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

⁷Să nu vă întovărăşiţi dar deloc cu ei.

⁷Therefore don’t be partakers with them.

⁸Odinioară eraţi întunerec; dar acum sînteţi lumină în Domnul. Umblaţi deci ca nişte copii ai luminii.

⁸For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

⁹Căci roada luminii stă în orice bunătate, în neprihănire şi în adevăr.

⁹for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

¹⁰Cercetaţi ce este plăcut înaintea Domnului,

¹⁰proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.

¹¹şi nu luaţi deloc parte la lucrările neroditoare ale întunerecului, ba încă mai de grabă osîndiţi-le.

¹¹Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

¹²Căci e ruşine numai să spunem ce fac ei în ascuns.

¹²For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.

¹³Dar toate aceste lucruri, cînd sînt osîndite de lumină, sînt date la iveală; pentrucă ceiace scoate totul la iveală, este lumina.

¹³But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.

¹⁴De aceea zice: ,,Deşteaptă-te tu, care dormi, scoală-te din morţi, şi Hristos te va lumina.``

¹⁴Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

¹⁵Luaţi seama deci să umblaţi cu băgare de seamă, nu ca nişte neînţelepţi, ci ca nişte înţelepţi.

¹⁵Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;

¹⁶Răscumpăraţi vremea, căci zilele sînt rele.

¹⁶redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

¹⁷De aceea nu fiţi nepricepuţi, ci înţelegeţi care este voia Domnului.

¹⁷Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

¹⁸Nu vă îmbătaţi de vin, aceasta este destrăbălare. Dimpotrivă, fiţi plini de Duh.

¹⁸Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

¹⁹Vorbiţi între voi cu psalmi, cu cîntări de laudă şi cu cîntări duhovniceşti, şi cîntaţi şi aduceţi din toată inima laudă Domnului.

¹⁹speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

²⁰Mulţămiţi totdeauna lui Dumnezeu Tatăl, pentru toate lucrurile, în Numele Domnului nostru Isus Hristos.

²⁰giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;

²¹Supuneţi-vă unii altora în frica lui Hristos.

²¹subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.

²²Nevestelor, fiţi supuse bărbaţilor voştri ca Domnului;

²²Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

²³căci bărbatul este capul nevestei, după cum şi Hristos este capul Bisericii, El, Mîntuitorul trupului.

²³For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.

²⁴Şi după cum Biserica este supusă lui Hristos, tot aşa şi nevestele să fie supuse bărbaţilor lor în toate lucrurile.

²⁴But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

²⁵Bărbaţilor, iubiţi-vă nevestele cum a iubit şi Hristos Biserica şi S'a dat pe Sine pentru ea,

²⁵Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;

²⁶ca s'o sfinţească, după ce a curăţit -o prin botezul cu apă prin Cuvînt,

²⁶that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,

²⁷ca să înfăţişeze înaintea Lui această Biserică, slăvită, fără pată fără sbîrcitură sau altceva de felul acesta, ci sfîntă şi fără prihană.

²⁷that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

²⁸Tot aşa trebuie să-şi iubească şi bărbaţii nevestele, ca pe trupurile lor. Cine îşi iubeşte nevasta, se iubeşte pe sine însuş.

²⁸Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

²⁹Căci nimeni nu şi -a urît vreodată trupul lui, ci îl hrăneşte, îl îngrijeşte cu drag, ca şi Hristos Biserica;

²⁹For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;

³⁰pentrucă noi sîntem mădulare ale trupului Lui, carne din carnea Lui şi os din oasele Lui.

³⁰because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.

³¹De aceea va lăsa omul pe tatăl său şi pe mamă-sa, şi se va lipi de nevastă-sa, şi cei doi vor fi un singur trup``.

³¹“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24

³²Taina aceasta este mare-(vorbesc despre Hristos şi despre Biserică). -

³²This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.

³³Încolo fiecare din voi să-şi iubească nevasta ca pe sine; şi nevasta să se teamă de bărbat.

³³Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
