¹Dumnezeu Şi -a adus aminte de Noe, de toate vieţuitoarele şi de toate vitele cari erau cu el în corabie; şi Dumnezeu a făcut să sufle un vînt pe pămînt, şi apele s'au potolit.

¹God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.

²Izvoarele Adîncului şi stăvilarele cerurilor au fost închise, şi ploaia din cer a fost oprită.

²The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.

³Apele au scăzut de pe faţa pămîntului, scurgîndu-se şi împuţinîndu-se, şi, după o sutăcincizeci de zile, apele s'au micşorat.

³The waters receded from the earth continually. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters decreased.

⁴În luna a şaptea, în ziua a şaptesprezecea a lunii, corabia s'a oprit pe munţii Ararat.

⁴The ship rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat’s mountains.

⁵Apele au mers scăzînd pînă în luna a zecea. În luna a zecea, în ziua întîi a lunii, s'au văzut vîrfurile munţilor.

⁵The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

⁶După patruzeci de zile, Noe a deschis fereastra corăbiei pe care o făcuse.

⁶It happened at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made,

⁷A dat drumul unui corb, care a ieşit, ducîndu-se şi întorcîndu-se, pînă cînd au secat apele de pe pămînt.

⁷and he sent out a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth.

⁸A dat drumul şi unui porumbel, ca să vadă dacă scăzuseră apele de pe faţa pămîntului.

⁸He sent out a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground,

⁹Dar porumbelul n'a găsit nici un loc ca să-şi pună piciorul, şi s'a întors la el în corabie, căci erau ape pe toată faţa pămîntului. Noe a întins mîna, l -a luat, şi l -a băgat la el în corabie.

⁹but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him into the ship; for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.

¹⁰A mai aşteptat alte şapte zile, şi iarăş a dat drumul porumbelului din corabie.

¹⁰He stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship.

¹¹Porumbelul s'a întors la el spre seară; şi iată că în ciocul lui era o frunză de măslin ruptă de curînd. Noe a cunoscut astfel că apele scăzuseră pe pămînt.

¹¹The dove came back to him at evening, and, behold, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.

¹²A mai aşteptat alte şapte zile; şi a dat drumul porumbelului. Dar porumbelul nu s'a mai întors la el.

¹²He stayed yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him any more.

¹³În anul şase sute unu, în luna întîi, în ziua întîi a lunii, apele secaseră pe pămînt. Noe a ridicat învelitoarea corăbiei: s'a uitat, şi iată că faţa pămîntului se uscase.

¹³It happened in the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dried.

¹⁴În luna a doua, în a douăzeci şi şaptea zi a lunii, pămîntul era uscat de tot.

¹⁴In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.

¹⁵Atunci Dumnezeu a vorbit lui Noe, şi i -a zis:

¹⁵God spoke to Noah, saying,

¹⁶,,Ieşi din corabie, tu şi nevastă-ta, fiii tăi şi nevestele fiilor tăi cu tine!

¹⁶“Go out of the ship, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.

¹⁷Scoate afară împreună cu tine toate vieţuitoarele de tot felul cari sînt cu tine, atît păsările cît şi vitele şi toate tîrîtoarele cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt: să mişune pe pămînt, să crească şi să se înmulţească pe pămînt.``

¹⁷Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.”

¹⁸Şi Noe a ieşit afară cu fiii săi, cu nevastă-sa şi cu nevestele fiilor săi.

¹⁸Noah went out, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.

¹⁹Toate dobitoacele, toate tîrîtoarele, toate păsările, tot ce se mişcă pe pămînt, după soiurile lor, au ieşit din corabie.

¹⁹Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship.

²⁰Noe a zidit un altar Domnului; a luat din toate dobitoacele curate şi din toate păsările curate, şi a adus arderi de tot pe altar.

²⁰Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

²¹Domnul a mirosit un miros plăcut; şi Domnul a zis în inima Lui: ,,Nu voi mai blestema pămîntul, din pricina omului, pentrucă întocmirile gîndurilor din inima omului sînt rele din tinereţa lui; şi nu voi mai lovi tot ce este viu, cum am făcut.

²¹Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake, because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike everything living, as I have done.

²²Cît va fi pămîntul, nu va înceta sămănatul şi seceratul, frigul şi căldura, vara şi iarna, ziua şi noaptea!``

²²While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
