¹Partea căzută la sorţi fiilor lui Iosif se întindea dela Iordan, lîngă Ierihon, spre apele Ierihonului, la răsărit. Hotarul urma pustia care se ridică dela Ierihon la Betel prin munte.

¹The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

²Mergea mai departe dela Betel la Luz, şi trecea spre hotarul Archiţilor prin Atarot.

²It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

³Apoi se pogora la apus spre hotarul Iafletiţilor, pînă la hotarul Bet-Horonului de jos şi pînă la Ghezer, ieşind la mare.

³and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

⁴Acolo şi-au primit moştenirea fiii lui Iosif: Manase şi Efraim.

⁴The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

⁵Iată hotarele fiilor lui Efraim, după familiile lor. Hotarul moştenirii lor era, la răsărit, Atarot-Adar pînă la Bet-Horonul de sus.

⁵This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.

⁶Ieşea spre mare la Micmetat în partea de miazănoapte, se întorcea la răsărit pînă la Taanat-Silo, şi trecea în spre răsărit prin Ianoah.

⁶The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.

⁷Din Ianoah pogora la Atarot şi la Naarata, atingea Ierihonul, şi mergea pînă la Iordan.

⁷It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

⁸Din Tapuah mergea spre apus pînă la pîrîul Cana, şi ieşea la mare. Aceasta a fost moştenirea seminţiei fiilor lui Efraim, după familiile lor.

⁸From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

⁹Fiii lui Efraim aveau şi cetăţi deosebite în mijlocul moştenirii fiilor lui Manase, toate cu satele lor.

⁹together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

¹⁰Ei n'au izgonit pe Cananiţii cari locuiau în Ghezer, şi Cananiţii au locuit în mijlocul lui Efraim pînă în ziua de azi, dar au fost puşi să plătească un bir.

¹⁰They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
