¹Lăudaţi pe Domnul! Ferice de omul care se teme de Domnul, şi care are o mare plăcere pentru poruncile Lui!

¹Praise Yah! Psalm 112 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.

²Sămînţa lui va fi puternică pe pămînt; neamul oamenilor fără prihană va fi binecuvîntat.

²His seed will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

³El are în casă bogăţie şi belşug, şi neprihănirea lui dăinuieşte în veci.

³Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.

⁴Celui fără prihană îi răsare o lumină în întunerec, El este milostiv, îndurător şi drept.

⁴Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.

⁵Ce bine -i merge omului care face milă şi împrumută pe altul, şi care îşi rînduieşte faptele după dreptate!

⁵It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.

⁶Căci el nu se clatină niciodată; pomenirea celui neprihănit ţine în veci.

⁶For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.

⁷El nu se teme de veşti rele, ci inima lui este tare, încrezătoare în Domnul.

⁷He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.

⁸Inima îi este mîngîiată, n'are nicio teamă, pînă ce îşi vede împlinită dorinţa faţă de protivnicii lui.

⁸His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.

⁹El este darnic, dă celor lipsiţi; milostenia lui ţine în veci; capul i se înalţă cu slavă.

⁹He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

¹⁰Cel rău vede lucrul acesta, şi se mînie, scrîşneşte din dinţi şi se topeşte. Poftele celor răi rămîn neîmplinite.

¹⁰The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
