¹(Către mai marele cîntăreţior. O cîntare. Un psalm.) Înălţaţi lui Dumnezeu strigăte de bucurie, toţi locuitorii pămîntului.

²Cîntaţi slavă Numelui Său, măriţi slava Lui prin laudele voastre.

²Sing to the glory of his name! Offer glory and praise!

³Ziceţi lui Dumnezeu: ,,Cît de înfricoşate sînt lucrările Tale! Din pricina mărimii puterii Tale, vrăjmaşii Tăi Te linguşesc.

³Tell God, “How awesome are your deeds! Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.

⁴Tot pămîntul se închină înaintea Ta, şi cîntă în cinstea Ta, cîntă Numele Tău. -

⁴All the earth will worship you, and will sing to you; they will sing to your name.” Selah.

⁵Veniţi şi priviţi lucrările lui Dumnezeu! Ce înfricoşat este El, cînd lucrează asupra fiilor oamenilor!

⁵Come, and see God’s deeds— awesome work on behalf of the children of men.

⁶El a prefăcut marea în pămînt uscat, şi rîul a fost trecut cu piciorul: atunci ne-am bucurat în El.

⁶He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.

⁷El stăpîneşte pe vecie, prin puterea Lui. Ochii Lui urmăresc pe neamuri, ca cei răsvrătiţi să nu se mai scoale împotriva Lui! -

⁷He rules by his might forever. His eyes watch the nations. Don’t let the rebellious rise up against him. Selah.

⁸Binecuvîntaţi, popoare, pe Dumnezeul nostru! Faceţi să răsune lauda Lui!

⁸Praise our God, you peoples! Make the sound of his praise heard,

⁹El ne -a păstrat sufletul cu viaţă, şi n'a îngăduit să ni se clatine piciorul.

⁹who preserves our life among the living, and doesn’t allow our feet to be moved.

¹⁰Căci Tu ne-ai încercat, Dumnezeule, ne-ai trecut prin cuptorul cu foc, ca argintul.

¹⁰For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.

¹¹Ne-ai adus în laţ, şi ne-ai pus o grea povară pe coapse.

¹¹You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs.

¹²Ai lăsat pe oameni să încalece pe capetele noastre, am trecut prin foc şi prin apă: dar Tu ne-ai scos şi ne-ai dat belşug.

¹²You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.

¹³De aceea, voi merge în Casa Ta cu arderi de tot, îmi voi împlini juruinţele făcute Ţie,

¹³I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you,

¹⁴juruinţe, cari mi-au ieşit de pe buze, pe cari mi le -a rostit gura cînd eram la strîmtoare.

¹⁴which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.

¹⁵Îţi voi aduce oi grase, ca ardere de tot, cu grăsimea berbecilor, voi jertfi oi împreună cu ţapi. -(Oprire).

¹⁵I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals, with the offering of rams, I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.

¹⁶Veniţi de ascultaţi, toţi cei ce vă temeţi de Dumnezeu, şi voi istorisi cei a făcut El sufletului meu.

¹⁶Come, and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul.

¹⁷Am strigat către El cu gura mea, şi îndată lauda a fost pe limba mea.

¹⁷I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue.

¹⁸Dacă aş fi cugetat lucruri nelegiuite în inima mea, nu m'ar fi ascultat Domnul.

¹⁸If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened.

¹⁹Dar Dumnezeu m'a ascultat, a luat aminte la glasul rugăciunii mele.

¹⁹But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.

²⁰Binecuvîntat să fie Dumnezeu, care nu mi -a lepădat rugăciunea, şi nu mi -a îndepărtat bunătatea Lui!

²⁰Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.
