¹As to the rest, then, brethren, we request you, and call upon you in the Lord Jesus, as ye did receive from us how it behoveth you to walk and to please God, that ye may abound the more,

²Tume zhanen so sichardiam tume ando anav le Kristosko.

²for ye have known what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus,

³O Del mangel tume te aven swuntsi, ai te arakhen tume katar le dieli bi vuzhe (kurvia).

³for this is the will of God — your sanctification; that ye abstain from the whoredom,

⁴Trobul swako anda tumende te inkerel pesko stato vuzho ai malado.

⁴that each of you know his own vessel to possess in sanctification and honour,

⁵Ai na te meken tume te avel tume ginduria bi vuzhe, sar le manush kai chi zhanen O Del.

⁵not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God,

⁶Ande kadia diela chi iek manush chi trobul te shubilpe karing pesko phral, vai te amilpe ka so si leske phralesko: ame vunzhe phendiam tumenge, ai phendiam tumenge mishto te arakhen tume, ke O Del xoliavola zurales pel manush kai keren kasavendar dieli bi vuzhe.

⁶that no one go beyond and defraud in the matter his brother, because an avenger [is] the Lord of all these, as also we spake before to you and testified,

⁷Ke O Del akhardia ame te na traiisaras ando bi vuzhimos, numa ando vuzhimos.

⁷for God did not call us on uncleanness, but in sanctification;

⁸Anda kodia, o manush kai shudel kado sicharimos, chi shudel ieke manushes, numa le Devles, kai del tume O Swunto Duxo.

⁸he, therefore, who is despising — doth not despise man, but God, who also did give His Holy Spirit to us.

⁹Chi trobul ame te mai ramosaras tumenge pa dragostia, kai trobul te avel tume le phralenge kai zhanen le Devles. Ke tume sichilian korkorho katar O Del sar trobul te aven drazhi iek kavreske

⁹And concerning the brotherly love, ye have no need of [my] writing to you, for ye yourselves are God-taught to love one another,

¹⁰Ai zhanas ke kadia keren mashkar sa le phral kai si ande sa e Macedonia. Numa mangas tumendar amare phral te mai but aven drazhi iek kavreske.

¹⁰for ye do it also to all the brethren who [are] in all Macedonia; and we call upon you, brethren, to abound still more,

¹¹Ai thon zor te traiin ande pacha, ai len sama katar tumare dieli, ai te keren buchi tumare vastensa te avel tume so trobul tume, sar ame phendiam tumenge te keren,

¹¹and to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we did command you,

¹²ai kadia aven respektime katar kodola kai chi zhanen le Devles, ai kadia chi trobula te mangen vari so katar le kolaver.

¹²that ye may walk becomingly unto those without, and may have lack of nothing.

¹³Amare phral, ame mangas te zhanen o chachimos pa kodola kai mule (soven), saxke te na aven nekezhime sar le kolaver manush kai nai le chi iek azhukerimos.

¹³And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, that ye may not sorrow, as also the rest who have not hope,

¹⁴Ke ame pachas ame ke O Jesus mulo ai pale zhuvindisailo; sakadia pachan ame, ame zhanas ke O Del zhuvindila le Kristosa kodolen kai mule.

¹⁴for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also God those asleep through Jesus he will bring with him,

¹⁵Ame phenas tumenge kadia sar O Kristo phendia amenge, ame kai avasa inker zhuvinde kana O Kristo avela, ame chi zhasatar mai anglal sar le mule.

¹⁵for this to you we say in the word of the Lord, that we who are living — who do remain over to the presence of the Lord — may not precede those asleep,

¹⁶Ke O Kristo Wo hulela anda rhaio ek tsipimasa, le glasosa le baro angelosko, le tuturazasa le Devleski, ai kodola kai mule ai pachaiepe ando Kristo zhuvindina mai anglal.

¹⁶because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first,

¹⁷then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be;

¹⁸so, then, comfort ye one another in these words.
