¹A tak započal Šalamún staväť dom Hospodinov v Jeruzaleme na vrchu Moria, na ktorom sa bol ukázal Dávidovi, jeho otcovi, ktorý to dom pripravil na mieste Dávidovom, na humne Ornána Jebuzejského.

¹Then Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where [Jehovah] appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

²Započal staväť druhého mesiaca druhého dňa štvrtého roku svojho kraľovania.

²And he began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

³A toto boly základy, ktoré položil Šalamún stavbe domu Božieho: dĺžka lakťov podľa drievnej miery bola šesťdesiat lakťov a šírka dvadsať lakťov.

³Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

⁴A sieň, ktorá bola pred dĺžkou domu, bola pred šírkou domu dvadsať lakťov a výška sto dvadsať, a pokryl ju zvnútra čistým zlatom.

⁴And the porch that was before [the house], the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

⁵Väčší dom pokryl jedľovým drevom a pokryl ho dobrým zlatom a dal naň narobiť paliem a reťazí.

⁵And the greater house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.

⁶A pokryl dom drahým kamením na ozdobu. A čo do zlata, zlato bolo parvaimské.

⁶And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

⁷A tedy pokryl dom, hrady, prahy, jeho steny i jeho dvere zlatom a na steny povyrezával cherubov.

⁷He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubim on the walls.

⁸A učinil dom svätyne svätých, ktorého dĺžka bola pred šírkou domu dvadsať lakťov a jeho šírka dvadsať lakťov, a pokryl ho dobrým zlatom, ktorého bolo šesťsto hrivien.

⁸And he made the most holy house: the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

⁹Váha klincov bola päťdesiat šeklov zlata, i vrchné siene pokryl zlatom.

⁹And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

¹⁰A v dome svätyne svätých spravil dvoch cherubov sochárskou prácou, a pokryli ich zlatom.

¹⁰And in the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.

¹¹A čo do krýdel cherubov, ich dĺžka bola dvadsať lakťov, jedno krýdlo na päť lakťov, dotýkajúce sa steny domu, a druhé krýdlo na päť lakťov, dotýkajúce sa krýdla druhého cheruba.

¹¹And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one [cherub] was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was [likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

¹²A tedy krýdlo jedného cheruba bolo na päť lakťov a dotýkalo sa steny domu, a druhé krýdlo na päť lakťov pojilo sa ku krýdlu druhého cheruba.

¹²And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits [also], joining to the wing of the other cherub.

¹³Krýdla týchto cherubov boly roztiahnuté na dvadsať lakťov, a oni, cherubi, stáli na svojich nohách a svoju tvár mali obrátenú do domu.

¹³The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.

¹⁴A spravil oponu z hyacintovomodrého postavu, purpuru, červca a z kmentu a spravil na nej cherubov.

¹⁴And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim thereon.

¹⁵A spravil pred domom dva stĺpy, vysoké tridsaťpäť lakťov, a hlavice, ktoré boly hore na nich, boly na päť lakťov.

¹⁵Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

¹⁶A spravil aj reťazi jako v svätyni svätých a dal ich na náhlavok stĺpov a spravil sto granátových jabĺk a dal na reťazi.

¹⁶And he made chains in the oracle, and put [them] on the tops of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

¹⁷A tak postavil stĺpy pred chrámom, jeden z pravej a druhý z ľavej strany a dal meno tomu, ktorý bol na pravej strane, Jachín a meno tomu na ľavej strane, Boaz.

¹⁷And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
