¹A Mojžišovi riekol: Vyjdi hore k Hospodinovi ty a Áron, Nádab a Abíhu a sedemdesiati zo starších Izraelových, a budete sa klaňať zďaleka.

¹And he said to Moses, Go up to Jehovah, thou and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship afar off.

²A priblíži sa iba sám Mojžiš k Hospodinovi, ale oni sa nepriblížia, ani ľud nevyjde s ním hore.

²And let Moses alone come near Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.

³Potom prišiel Mojžiš a rozpovedal ľudu všetky slová Hospodinove i všetky súdy. A všetok ľud odpovedal jedným hlasom, a riekli: Všetky slová, ktoré hovoril Hospodin, budeme robiť.

³And Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the judgments; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words that Jehovah has said will we do!

⁴A Mojžiš napísal všetky slová Hospodinove a vstanúc skoro ráno vystavil oltár pod vrchom a postavil dvanásť pamätných stĺpov podľa počtu dvanástich pokolení Izraelových.

⁴And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵A poslal mládencov zo synov Izraelových, a obetovali zápaly a obetovali Hospodinovi bitné obeti pokojné, juncov.

⁵And he sent the youths of the children of Israel, and they offered up burnt-offerings, and sacrificed sacrifices of peace-offering of bullocks to Jehovah.

⁶A Mojžiš vzal polovicu krvi a vlial do medeníc a druhú polovicu krvi vylial na oltár.

⁶And Moses took half the blood, and put [it] in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

⁷Potom vzal knihu smluvy a čítal pred ľudom. A riekli: Všetko, čo hovoril Hospodin, budeme robiť a poslúchať.

⁷And he took the book of the covenant, and read [it] in the ears of the people; and they said, All that Jehovah has said will we do, and obey!

⁸Vtedy vzal Mojžiš krv a pokropil ľud a riekol: Hľa, toto je krv smluvy, ktorú učinil s vami Hospodin nad všetkými týmito slovami.

⁸And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant that Jehovah has made with you concerning all these words.

⁹Potom vyšiel hore Mojžiš a Áron, Nádab a Abíhu a sedemdesiati zo starších Izraelových.

⁹And Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up;

¹⁰A videli Boha Izraelovho, a pod jeho nohami bolo čosi jako dielo jasnosti zafíra a jako samo nebo čo do čistoty.

¹⁰and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were work of transparent sapphire, and as it were the form of heaven for clearness.

¹¹A na kniežatá synov Izraelových nevystrel svojej ruky, hoci videli Boha, a jedli a pili.

¹¹And on the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: they saw God, and ate and drank.

¹²A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Vyjdi ku mne hore na vrch a buď tam, a dám ti kamenné dosky a zákon a prikázanie, ktoré som napísal, učiť ich.

¹²And Jehovah said to Moses, Come up to me into the mountain, and be there; and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law, and the commandment that I have written, for their instruction.

¹³Vtedy vstal Mojžiš a Jozua, jeho služobník, a Mojžiš vyšiel na vrch Boží.

¹³And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant; and Moses went up to the mountain of God.

¹⁴A starším povedal: Zostaňte nám tu, dokiaľ sa nevrátime k vám. A hľa, Áron a Húr budú s vami. Kto má nejakú spornú vec, nech ide k nim.

¹⁴And he said to the elders, Wait here for us, until we return to you; and behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matter, let him come before them.

¹⁵Potom vyšiel Mojžiš na vrch, a oblak prikryl vrch.

¹⁵And Moses went up to the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

¹⁶A sláva Hospodinova prebývala na vrchu Sinai, a oblak ho pokrýval šesť dní, a siedmeho dňa zavolal na Mojžiša zprostred oblaku.

¹⁶And the glory of Jehovah abode on mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

¹⁷A sláva Hospodinova bola na pohľad ako zožierajúci oheň na temene vrchu pred očami synov Izraelových.

¹⁷And the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain, before the eyes of the children of Israel.

¹⁸A Mojžiš vošiel doprostred oblaku a vyšiel na vrch. A Mojžiš bol na vrchu štyridsať dní a štyridsať nocí.

¹⁸And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and ascended the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
