1A stalo sa po tej rane, že riekol Hospodin Mojžišovi a Eleazárovi, synovi Árona, kňaza, povediac:
1It happened after the plague, that Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2Spočítajte počet celej obce synov Izraelových vo veku od dvadsiatich rokov a vyše podľa domu ich otcov, každého, ktorý je súci ísť von do vojska v Izraelovi.
2“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go forth to war in Israel.”
3Vtedy hovoril s nimi Mojžiš a Eleazár, kňaz, v Arbót-moábe, pri Jordáne, naproti Jerichu, a riekli:
3Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
4Spočítajte mužov vo veku od dvadsiatich rokov a vyše, tak ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi a synom Izraelovým, ktorí vyšli z Egyptskej zeme.
4“Take a census, from twenty years old and upward; as Yahweh commanded Moses and the children of Israel.” These are those that came out of the land of Egypt.
5Rúben, prvorodený Izraelov. Synovia Rúbenovi: Chanoch, z ktorého pošla chanochovská čeľaď; po Fallúvovi bola fallú-vovská čeľaď;
5Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
6po Checronovi bola checronovská čeľaď, po Charmim charmiovská čeľaď.
6of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7To sú čeľade Rúbenovcov. A bolo ich načítaných štyridsaťtri tisíc sedemsto tridsať.

9A synovia Eliábovi: Nemuel, Dátan a Abíram. To je ten Dátan a Abíram, ktorí bývali volávaní do rady obce, ktorí sa vadili na Mojžiša a na Árona v rote Kórachovej, keď sa vadili na Hospodina,

10pre čo potom otvorila zem svoje ústa a pohltila ich aj Kóracha, keď zomrela tá rota, a keď strávil oheň tých dvesto päťdesiat mužov, a stali sa výstrahou.
10and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; what time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men, and they became a sign.
11Ale synovia Kórachovi nezomreli.

29Synovia Manassesovi: po Machírovi bola machírovská čeľaď. A Machír splodil Gileáda. Po Gileádovi bola gileádovská čeľaď.

33A Celafchad, syn Chéferov, nemal synov, iba dcéry. A mená dcér Celafchadových boly: Machla a Noa, Chogla, Milka a Tirca.
33Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34To sú čeľade Manassesove, a ich počítaných bolo päťdesiatdva tisíc sedemsto.

38The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

51To sú počítaní zo synov Izraelových, šesťsto jeden tisíc sedemsto tridsať.
51These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.
52A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:
52Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
53Týmto bude rozdelená zem do dedičstva podľa počtu mien.
53“To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54Ktorého bude viacej, tomu dáš viacej dedičstva; ktorého bude menej, tomu dáš menej dedičstva. Každému bude dané jeho dedičstvo podľa počtu jeho počítaných.
54To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: to everyone according to those who were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given.
55Avšak losom bude rozdelená zem; podľa mien pokolení svojich otcov dostanú dedičstvo.
55Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56Losom bude rozdelené jeho dedičstvo, medzi toho, ktorého je mnoho, i medzi toho, ktorého je málo.
56According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”
57Toto sú počítaní zo synov Léviho po svojich čeľadiach: po Geršonovi geršonovská čeľaď, po Kehátovi kehátovská čeľaď, po Merárim čeľaď Meráriho.
57These are those who were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58Toto sú čeľade Léviho: libniovská čeľaď, hebronovská čeľaď, machliovská čeľaď, mušiovská čeľaď, kórchiovská čeľaď. A Kehát zplodil Amrama.
58These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.
59A meno ženy Amramovej bolo Jochebeď; bola dcérou Léviho, ktorú porodila Lévimu jeho žena v Egypte. A porodila Amramovi Árona, Mojžiša a Mirjam čiže Máriu, ich sestru.
59The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt: and she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60A Áronovi sa narodil Nádab a Abíhu, Eleazár a Itamár.
60To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61A Nádab a Abíhu zomreli vtedy, keď obetovali cudzí oheň pred Hospodinom.
61Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before Yahweh.
62Ich načítaných bolo dvadsaťtri tisíc, všetko to mužského pohlavia vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše, lebo neboli počítaní medzi synmi Izraelovými, pretože im nebolo dané dedičstvo medzi synmi Izraelovými.
62Those who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63To sú počítaní od Mojžiša a Eleazára, kňaza, ktorí počítali synov Izraelových v Arbót-moábe, pri Jordáne, naproti Jerichu.
63These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
64A medzi týmito nebolo niktorého z tamtých počítaných od Mojžiša a od Árona, kňaza, ktorí počítali synov Izraelových na púšti Sinai.
64But among these there was not a man of them who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65Lebo Hospodin povedal o nich: Istotne pomrú tu na púšti, ani z nich nezostal niktorý krome Kálefa, syna Jefunneho, a Jozuu, syna Núnovho.
65For Yahweh had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. There was not left a man of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
