¹In beseda GOSPODOVA mi je prišla, govoreč:

¹The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

²Sin človečji, obrni obličje proti sinovom Amonovim in prorokuj zoper nje;

²Son of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:

³ter govóri sinom Amonovim: Poslušajte Gospoda Jehove besedo! Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Zato ker praviš o mojem svetišču: Haha! ker je onesvečeno, in o zemlji Izraelovi, ker je opustošena, in o družini Judovi, ker je šla v ujetništvo:

³and tell the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

⁴zato, glej, te dam sinom jutrovim v posest; in postavijo v tebi šatorišča svoja in narede v tebi bivališča svoja; oni bodo jedli sad tvoj, oni bodo pili mleko tvoje.

⁴therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in you, and make their dwellings in you; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.

⁵In dal bom Rabo za trato velblodom in mesta sinov Amonovih za ležišče drobnicam. In spoznate, da sem jaz GOSPOD.

⁵I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks: and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

⁶Zakaj tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Zato ker si ploskal z rokami in topotal z nogami ter se veselil z vsem zaničevanjem v duši svoji spričo zemlje Izraelove,

⁶For thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of your soul against the land of Israel;

⁷zato, glej, iztegnem roko svojo zoper tebe ter te dam narodom v plen, in iztrebim te izmed ljudstev in pogubim te iz dežel; jaz te uničim, in spoznaš, da sem jaz GOSPOD.

⁷therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

⁸Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: zato ker Moab in Seir govorita: Glej, družina Judova je kakor vsi poganski narodi!

⁸Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations;

⁹zato, glej, odprem stran Moabovo (odstranivši mesta njegova, ki so po vsej meji njegovi, dika dežele, Betjesimot, Baal-meon in Kirjataim)

⁹therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,

¹⁰sinom jutrovim s sinovi Amonovimi vred in ga dam njim v posest, da ne bi bilo spomina sinom Amonovim med narodi.

¹⁰to the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

¹¹In izvršim sodbo nad Moabom; in spoznajo, da sem jaz GOSPOD.

¹¹and I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

¹²Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Zato ker je Edom maščevalno ravnal zoper družino Judovo in so se zelo pregrešili, ko so se maščevali nad njimi,

¹²Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them;

¹³zato pravi tako Gospod Jehova: Iztegnem roko svojo proti Edomu ter iztrebim iz njega ljudi in živino; in ga naredim v puščavo od Temana naprej, in prav do Dedana bodo padali pod mečem.

¹³therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even to Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

¹⁴In izvršim maščevanje nad Edomom po roki ljudstva svojega Izraela; in ravnali bodo z Edomom po jezi moji in po togoti moji. In spoznajo maščevanje moje, govori Gospod Jehova.

¹⁴I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁵Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Zato ker so Filistejci maščevalno ravnali in so se maščevali z zaničevanjem v duši svoji, da pokončajo z večnim sovraštvom:

¹⁵Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity;

¹⁶zato pravi tako Gospod Jehova: Glej, iztegnem roko svojo proti Filistejcem in iztrebim Keretejce in pogubim ostanek v primorju.In izvršim veliko maščevanje nad njimi s srditimi kaznimi. In spoznajo, da sem jaz GOSPOD, ko izvršim maščevanje svoje nad njimi.

¹⁶therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

¹⁷In izvršim veliko maščevanje nad njimi s srditimi kaznimi. In spoznajo, da sem jaz GOSPOD, ko izvršim maščevanje svoje nad njimi.

¹⁷I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.
