1Tako pravi GOSPOD: Pazite na pravico in strezite pravičnosti! kajti skoraj pride zveličanje moje in pravičnost moja se razodene.
1Thus says Yahweh, “Keep justice, and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2Blagor človeku, ki dela to, in sinu človekovemu, ki se trdno drži tega: ki hrani soboto, da bi je ne oskrunil, in varuje roko svojo, da bi ne storil nič zlega.
2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
3Inozemec pa, ki se je pridružil GOSPODU, naj ne govori, rekoč: GOSPOD me gotovo loči od svojega ljudstva; in skopljenec ne govóri: Glej, jaz sem suho drevo.
3Neither let the foreigner, who has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying, “Yahweh will surely separate me from his people”; neither let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.”
4Zakaj tako govori GOSPOD o skopljencih, ki spoštujejo sobote moje in volijo to, kar mene veseli, in trdno drže zavezo mojo:
4For thus says Yahweh, “To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant:
5njim dam v hiši svoji in sredi zidov svojih prostora in ime boljše mimo sinov in hčer; ime večno jim dam, ki se ne iztrebi.
5to them I will give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6Inozemce pa, ki so se pridružili GOSPODU, da mu strežejo in da ljubijo ime GOSPODOVO, da mu bodo hlapci: kdorkoli hrani soboto, da bi je ne oskrunil, in kateri trdno drže zavezo mojo,
6Also the foreigners who join themselves to Yahweh, to minister to him, and to love the name of Yahweh, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant;
7nje tudi pripeljem h gori svetosti svoje in jih razveselim v molitveni hiši svoji, njih žgalne in klalne daritve bodo prijetne na oltarju mojem. Kajti hiša moja se bo imenovala dom molitve vsem ljudstvom.
7even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
8Gospod Jehova, ki zbira razkropljence Izraelove, govori: Še druge bom zbral k njemu, k zbranim njegovim.
8The Lord Yahweh, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, “Yet will I gather others to him, besides his own who are gathered.”
9Vse živali poljske, pridite jest, vsa živad v gozdu!
9All you animals of the field, come to devour, all you animals in the forest.
10Njegovi čuvaji so slepi, vsi so brez spoznanja; kolikor jih je, so nemi psi, ki ne morejo lajati; sanjajoč ležé, ljubijo spanje.
10His watchmen are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they can’t bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.
11In tisti psi so požrešni, ne vedo, kdaj so siti; in to so pastirji! Niso zmožni kaj razumeti, vsi se obračajo na svojo pot, vsak se žene za svojim dobičkom od vseh strani:„Pridite, vina vzamem, in izpirali si bomo grlo s pijačo opojno; in jutrišnji dan bodi današnjemu podoben in še veliko boljši!“
11Yes, the dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; and these are shepherds who can’t understand: they have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.
12„Pridite, vina vzamem, in izpirali si bomo grlo s pijačo opojno; in jutrišnji dan bodi današnjemu podoben in še veliko boljši!“
12“Come,” say they, “I will get wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, great beyond measure.”
