²Bog moj, v tebe upam, naj ne pridem v sramoto, sovražniki moji naj se ne radujejo nad mano.

²My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.

³Saj kdorkoli čaka tebe, ne pride v sramoto; osramočeni pa bodo, ki nezvesto ravnajo brez vzroka.

³Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.

⁴Pota svoja mi kaži, GOSPOD, steze svoje me uči.

⁴Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.

⁵Vodi me, da hodim po resnici tvoji, in uči me, ker ti si Bog rešenja mojega, tebe čakam ves dan.

⁵Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.

⁶Spomni se, o GOSPOD, mnogega usmiljenja svojega in milosti svojih, ki so od vekomaj.

⁶Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.

⁷Grehov mladosti moje in prestopkov mojih se ne spominjaj, po milosti svoji se me spominjaj ti, zavoljo dobrote svoje, o GOSPOD.

⁷Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.

⁸Dober in zvestih misli je GOSPOD, zatorej uči grešnike pravi pot.

⁸Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.

⁹Vodi krotke, da hodijo po pravici, in krotke uči pot svoj.

⁹He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

¹⁰Vse steze GOSPODOVE so milost in resnica njim, ki hranijo zavezo njegovo in pričevanja njegova.

¹⁰All the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹¹Zaradi imena svojega, GOSPOD, odpusti krivico mojo, ker velika je.

¹¹For your name’s sake, Yahweh, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

¹²What man is he who fears Yahweh? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.

¹³His soul shall dwell at ease. His seed shall inherit the land.

¹⁴Skrivnost GOSPODOVA je očitna njim, ki se ga boje, in zavezo svojo jim razodeva.

¹⁴The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant.

¹⁵Oči moje gledajo neprestano v GOSPODA, zakaj on potegne iz mreže noge moje.

¹⁵My eyes are ever on Yahweh, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.

¹⁶Ozri se v me in milost mi stóri, ker osamel sem in ubožen.

¹⁶Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted.

¹⁷Stiske srca mojega so se pomnožile, iz nadlog mojih me reši.

¹⁷The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Oh bring me out of my distresses.

¹⁸Poglej siromaštvo moje in težave moje, in odpusti vse grehe moje.

¹⁸Consider my affliction and my travail. Forgive all my sins.

¹⁹Poglej sovražnike moje, veliko jih je, in z zlovoljnim sovraštvom me sovražijo.

¹⁹Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred.

²⁰Varuj dušo mojo in reši me, ne pridem naj v sramoto, ker v tebi iščem zavetja.

²⁰Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.

²¹Brezmadežnost in poštenost naj me stražita, ker tebe čakam.Reši, Bog, Izraela vseh nadlog njegovih.

²¹Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.
