³Pojte mu novo pesem, krepko udarjajte na strune z radostnim vpitjem.

³Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

⁴Ker prava je beseda GOSPODOVA in vsako delo njegovo se vrši v zvestobi.

⁴For the word of Yahweh is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

⁵Pravičnost ljubi in sodbo, milosti GOSPODOVE polna je zemlja.

⁵He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.

⁶Z besedo GOSPODOVO so ustvarjena nebesa in z dihom ust njegovih vsa vojska nebeška.

⁶By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

⁷Morske vode zbira kakor na kup in v shrambe deva valove.

⁷He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

⁸Boj se GOSPODA vsa zemlja, pred njim naj trepetajo vsi prebivalci sveta.

⁸Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁹Kajti on je rekel, in se je zgodilo, on je zapovedal, in stalo je trdno.

⁹For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

¹⁰GOSPOD uničuje narodov sklepe, misli ljudstev podira.

¹⁰Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹¹Sklep GOSPODOV pa ostane vekomaj, misli srca njegovega od roda do roda.

¹¹The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹²Blagor narodu, čigar Bog je GOSPOD, ljudstvu, katero si je izvolil v dediščino.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

¹³Iz nebes gleda GOSPOD, vidi vse sinove človeške.

¹³Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

¹⁴Z mesta prebivališča svojega gleda na vse prebivalce zemlje,

¹⁵on, ki obrazuje srca njih vseh, ki pazi na vsa njih dela.

¹⁵he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

¹⁶Ni ga kralja, ki bi se rešil z množico krdel, junak se ne otme z veliko močjo.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁷Vara se, kdor se upa s konjem rešiti, velika moč njegova ga na varno ne odnese.

¹⁷A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁸Glej, GOSPOD vpira oko svoje na njé, ki se ga bojé, na njé, ki čakajo milosti njegove;

¹⁸Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;

¹⁹da reši smrti njih dušo in jih žive ohrani v lakoti.

¹⁹to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

²⁰Duša naša čaka GOSPODA, on je pomoč naša in ščit naš.

²⁰Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.

²¹Kajti v njem se razveseli srce naše, ker smo zaupali njegovemu svetemu imenu.Milost tvoja, o GOSPOD, bodi nad nami, kakor te zaupno čakamo.

²¹For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²²Milost tvoja, o GOSPOD, bodi nad nami, kakor te zaupno čakamo.

²²Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.
