1Exult, ye righteous, in Jehovah: praise is comely for the upright.
2Vongai Jehovha nembira; Muimbirei nziyo dzokurumbidza nomutengeramwa une hungiso dzine gumi.
2Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute.
3Muimbirei rwiyo rutsva; Ridzai zvakanaka nokuridza kukuru.
3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud sound.
4nekuti shoko raJehovha rakarurama, Anoita zvose nokutendeka.
4For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is in faithfulness.
5Iye anoda kururama nokururamisa; Nyika izere nounyoro hwaJehovha.
5He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the loving-kindness of Jehovah.
6Kudenga-denga kwakaitwa neshoko raJehovha, Uye hondo dzose dzoko nokufema komuromo wake.
6By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7Anounganidza mvura zhinji yegungwa pamwechete somurwi; Anochengeta mvura zhinji dzakadzika mumatura.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; he layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
8Nyika yose ngaitye Jehovha; Vose vagere panyika ngavadedere pamberi pake.
8Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9nekuti iye akataura, zvikaitika; Akaraira, zvikamira zvikasimba.
9For *he* spoke, and it was [done]; *he* commanded, and it stood fast.
10Jehovha anoparadza zano ravahedheni; Mifungo yendudzi dzavanhu anoishaisa simba.
10Jehovah frustrateth the counsel of the nations; he maketh the thoughts of the peoples of none effect.
11Zano raJehovha rakasimba nokusingaperi, Nendangariro dzomoyo wake kusvikira kundudzi dzose.
11The counsel of Jehovah standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12Rwakakomborerwa rudzi rwakaita Jehovha Mwari warwo; Rudzi rwaakatsaura kuva nhaka yake.
12Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance!
13Jehovha anotarira ari kudenga; Anoona vanakomana vose vavanhu;
13Jehovah looketh from the heavens; he beholdeth all the sons of men:
14Anotarira ari ipapo paagere Achiona vanhu vose vagere panyika.
14From the place of his habitation he looketh forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15Iye anoumba moyo yavo vose, Anocherekedza mabasa avo ose
15He who fashioneth the hearts of them all, who considereth all their works.
16Hapana mambo anoponeswa nokuwanda kwehondo; Mhare hairwirwi nesimba guru.
16The king is not saved by the multitude of [his] forces; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17Bhiza haribatsiri pakukunda; Harigoni kurwira nesimba raro guru.
17The horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth he deliver by his great power.
18Tarirai, ziso raJehovha rinotarira vanomutya, Ivo, vanorindira tsitsi dzake;
18Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness,
19Kurwira mweya wavo parufu, Nokuvararamisa panguva yenzara.
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20Mweya yedu yakarindira Jehovha; Ndiye mubatsiri wedu nenhovo yedu.
20Our soul waiteth for Jehovah: he is our help and our shield.
21Nekuti moyo yedu ichafara kwazvo maari, Zvatakavimba nezita rake dzvene.
21For in him shall our heart rejoice, because we have confided in his holy name.
22Tsitsi dzenyu ngadzive nesu, Jehovha, Sezvatakakurindirai.
22Let thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
