Psalms

66

1Pururudzai kuna Mwari, imwi nyika dzose;
1{To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.} Shout aloud unto God, all the earth:
2Imbirai mukurumbira wezita rake; Rumbidzai kudzo yake.
2Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious;
3Itiyi kuna Mwari, Mabasa enyu anotyisa sei! Vavengi venyu vachazviisa pasi penyu nemhaka youkuru bwesimba renyu.
3Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee.
4Pasi pose pachanamata kwamuri, Pachakuimbirai; Vachaimbira zita renyu.
4All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah.
5Uyai, muone mabasa aMwari; Anotyisa pane zvaanoitira vana vavanhu.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in [his] doings toward the children of men.
6Akashandura gungwa rikava nyika yakaoma; Vakayambuka rwizi netsoka; Ipapo takafara maari.
6He turned the sea into dry [land]; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7Anobata ushe nokusingaperi nesimba rake; Meso ake anocherekedza ndudzi; Vanomumukira ngavarege kuzvikudza.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8Vongai Mwari, imwi vanhu, inzwi rokumurumbidza ngarinzwike;
8Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
9Iye anopa mweya upenyu, Asingatenderi tsoka dzedu kuti dzitedzemuke.
9Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10nekuti imwi Mwari makatiidza; Makatiidza sezvinoidzwa sirivha.
10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11Makatipinza pamumbure; Makatitakudza mutoro unorema pazviuno zvedu.
11Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins;
12Makafambisa vanhu pamusoro pemisoro yedu, Takapinda nomumoto nemvura; Asi makatibudisa kunzvimbo inezvakawanda.
12Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.
13Ndichapinda mumba menyu nezvipiriso zvinopiswa, Ndichakuitirai mhiko dzangu,
13I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee,
14Dzakarehwa nemiromo yangu, Dzakataurwa nomuromo wangu pakutambudzika kwangu.
14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15Ndichakubayirai zvipiriso zvinopiswa zvezvakakora, Nezvinonhuhwira zvamakondobwe; Ndichabayira nzombe pamwechete nembudzi.
15I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
16Uyai munzwe, imwi mose munotya Mwari, Ndichakududzirai zvaakaitira mweya wangu.
16Come, hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17Ndakachema kwaari nomuromo wangu, Akarumbidzwa zvikuru norurimi rwangu.
17I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18Kana ndikarangarira zvakaipa mumoyo mangu, Ishe haangandinzwi;
18Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear.
19Asi zvirokwazvo Mwari akanzwa; Akateerera inzwi rokunyengetera kwangu.
19But God hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Mwari ngaavongwe, Iye asina kuramba munyengetero wangu, kana kubvisa tsitsi yake kwandiri.
20Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!
