1Jehovha, Mwari mutsivi, imwi Mwari mutsivi, penyai.
1O ùGod of vengeances, Jehovah, ùGod of vengeances, shine forth;
2Zvisimudzei, imwi Mutongi wenyika; Ipai vanozvikudza sezvavakafanira.
2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth, render the reward to the proud.
3Jehovha, vakaipa vachafara kwazvo kusvikira rinhiko, Vakaipa vachafara kwazvo kusvikira rinhi?
3How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4Vanongotaura havo, vanotaura vachizvikudza, Vaiti vose vezvakaipa vanoita manyawi.
4[How long] shall they utter [and] speak insolence -- all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5Vanopwanya vanhu venyu, Jehovha, Vachitambudza nhaka yenyu.
5They crush thy people, O Jehovah, and afflict thine inheritance;
6Vanouraya chirikadzi nomweni, Nenherera vanodziuraya.
6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,
7Vachiti, Jehovha haazvioni, Mwari waJakove haazvirangariri.
7And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].
8Rangarirai imwi vasina njere pakati pavanhu; nemwi mapenzi, muchava vakachenjera rinhiko?
8Understand, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9Iye, akasima nzeve, haanganzwi here? Iye, akaumba ziso, haangaoni here?
9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10Iye, anoranga vahedheni, haangarairi here? Iye, anodzidzisa vanhu zivo haazivi here?
10He that instructeth the nations, shall not he correct -- he that teacheth man knowledge?
11Jehovha anoziva kufunga kwavanhu,) Kuti hazvina maturo.
11Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12Akaropafadzwa munhu, anorangwa nemi, Jehovha, lye wamunodzidzisa pamurayiro wenyu;
12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;
13Kuti mumuzorodzei pamazuva okutambudzika, Kusvikira vakaipa vachererwa gomba.
13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14nekuti Jehovha haangarashi vanhu vake, Uye haangasii nhaka yake.
14For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;
15Nekuti kutonga kuchadzokera kukururama; Vose vane moyo yakarurama vachakutevera.
15For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16Ndianiko achandirwira pavaiti vezvakaipa? Ndianiko achandibatsira panavanoita zvakaipa?
16Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?
17Dai Jehovha aisava mubatsiri wangu, Mweya wangu ungadai wakakurumidza kugara pakati mwii.
17If Jehovah had not been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18Panguva yandakati, Rutsoka rwangu rwotedzemuka. Tsitsi dzenyu,Jehovha, dzakanditsigira.
18When I said, My foot slippeth, thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, held me up.
19Mundangariro dzangu zhinji mukati mangu Kunyaradza kwenyu kunofadza mweya wangu.
19In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me thy comforts have delighted my soul.
20Chigaro chezvakaipa chingashamwaridzana nemwi here, Icho chinofunga kuita zvakashata nemitemo yacho?
20Shall the throne of wickedness be united to thee, which frameth mischief into a law?
21Vanounganira upenyu hwowakarurama, Vachipa mhosva ropa risina mhosva.
21They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
22Asi Jehovha ndiye nhare yangu yakasimba; Mwari wangu idombo routiziro hwangu.
22But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.
23Achadzosera pamusoro pavo kutadza kwavo, Achavaparadza pakati pokuita kwavo; Jehovha Mwari wedu achavaparadza.
23And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.
