Darby's Translation

Job

3

1Markaas dabadeed Ayuub intuu afkiisa furay ayuu habaaray maalintii uu dhashay.
1After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed his day.
2Oo Ayuub intuu hadal bilaabay ayuu yidhi:
2And Job answered and said,
3Dharaartii aan dhashay ha baabba'do Iyo habeenkii la yidhi, Wiil baa calool galay.
3Let the day perish in which I was born, and the night that said, There is a man child conceived.
4Maalintaasu gudcur ha ahaato; Oo Ilaah yuusan iyada xagga sare kaga fiirsan, Oo nuurkuna yuusan iftiimin.
4That day -- let it be darkness, let not +God care for it from above, neither let light shine upon it:
5Gudcur iyo hooska dhimashadu iyada mulki ha ka dhigteen. Daruuru ha ku degto, Oo wixii maalin madoobeeya oo dhammu ha cabsiiyeen.
5Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it; let clouds dwell upon it; let darkeners of the day terrify it.
6Oo habeenkaasna gudcur weynu ha qabsado, Oo ayaamaha sannadda yuusan ka dhex rayrayn. Oo yuusan soo dhex gelin bilaha tiradooda.
6That night -- let gloom seize upon it; let it not rejoice among the days of the year; let it not come into the number of the months.
7Bal eeg, habeenkaasu cidla ha noqdo; Oo cod faraxsan yaanu ka dhex yeedhin.
7Behold, let that night be barren; let no joyful sound come therein;
8Oo isaga ha habaareen kuwa maalinta habaaraa, Oo kicin kara bahalka la yidhaahdo Lewiiyaataan.
8Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to rouse Leviathan;
9Fiidka xiddigihiisu gudcur ha noqdeen, Iftiin ha doondoono oo yuusan helin; Oo innaba yuusan arkin kaaha waaberiga.
9Let the stars of its twilight be dark; let it wait for light, and have none, neither let it see the eyelids of the dawn:
10Maxaa yeelay, isagu ma uu awdin irdihii maxalka hooyaday, Oo indhahaygana dhib kama uu qarin.
10Because it shut not up the doors of the womb that bore me, and hid not trouble from mine eyes.
11Bal maxaan u dhiman waayay markaan uurka ka soo baxay? Oo maxaa naftu iiga bixi weyday isla markaan caloosha ka soo baxay?
11Wherefore did I not die from the womb, -- come forth from the belly and expire?
12Bal jilbuhu maxay ii aqbaleen? Amase naasuhu inaan nuugo?
12Why did the knees meet me? and wherefore the breasts, that I should suck?
13Waayo, hadda xasilloonaan baan ku jiifi lahaa; Oo waan iska seexan lahaa, oo waan nasan lahaa,
13For now should I have lain down and been quiet; I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
14Aniga iyo boqorrada iyo lataliyayaasha dunida Oo nafsaddooda taallooyin u dhistay,
14With kings and counsellors of the earth, who build desolate places for themselves,
15Iyo amiirradii dahabka lahaan jiray, Oo guryahooda lacagta ka buuxsaday;
15Or with princes who had gold, who filled their houses with silver;
16Bal dhicis qarsoon maxaan u ahaan waayay? Ama sida dhallaan aan innaba iftiinka arag?
16Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants that have not seen the light.
17Halkaas kuwa sharka ahu cidna kuma sii dhibaan, Oo kuwa daallanuna halkaasay ku nastaan.
17There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the wearied are at rest.
18Maxaabiistuna halkaasay dhammaantood ku wada istareexaan, Mana ay maqlaan kii dulmi jiray codkiisa.
18The prisoners together are at ease; they hear not the voice of the taskmaster.
19Yar iyo weynba halkaasaa la wada joogaa, Oo addoonkuna sayidkiisa waa ka xor.
19The small and great are there, and the bondman freed from his master.
20Bal iftiin maxaa loo siiyaa kan dhibaataysan? Maxaase loo nooleeyaa kan naftiisu la qadhaadhaatay,
20Wherefore is light given to him that is in trouble, and life to those bitter of soul,
21Oo dhimasho u xiisooda, oo ayan u imanayn, Oo daraaddeed dhulka u qodqoda intuu khasnado qarsoon qodi lahaa in ka sii badan,
21Who long for death, and it [cometh] not, and dig for it more than for hidden treasures;
22Kuwaasoo aad u reyreeya, Oo farxa hadday qabriga heli karaan?
22Who rejoice even exultingly and are glad when they find the grave? --
23Bal maxaa iftiin loo siiyaa nin jidkiisu qarsoon yahay, Oo Ilaah deyr ku wareejiyey?
23To the man whose way is hidden, and whom +God hath hedged in?
24Waayo, intaanan wax cunin ayaan taahaa, Oo cabaadkayguna wuxuu u shubmaa sida biyo oo kale.
24For my sighing cometh before my bread, and my groanings are poured out like the waters.
25Waayo, hadba wixii aan ka cabsado ayaa igu soo dega, Oo wixii aan ka baqo ayaa ii yimaada.Ma aan istareexsani, mana aan xasillooni, mana aan nasto; Laakiinse hadba dhibaato baa ii timaada.
25For I feared a fear, and it hath come upon me, and that which I dreaded hath come to me.
26Ma aan istareexsani, mana aan xasillooni, mana aan nasto; Laakiinse hadba dhibaato baa ii timaada.
26I was not in safety, neither had I quietness, neither was I at rest, and trouble came.
