Numbers

32

1Haddaba reer Ruubeen iyo reer Gaad waxay lahaayeen xoolo faro badan, oo markay arkeen dalkii Yacser iyo dalkii Gilecaad inay meeshaasu xoolo u wanaagsan tahay,
1And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had much cattle, a very great multitude; and they saw the land of Jaazer, and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for cattle.
2ayay reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen u yimaadeen Muuse iyo wadaadkii Elecaasaar ahaa iyo amiirradii shirka, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen,
2And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the assembly, saying,
3Cataarood, iyo Diboon, iyo Yacser, iyo Nimraah, iyo Xeshboon, iyo Elecaaleeh, iyo Sebaam, iyo Neboo, iyo Becon,
3Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jaazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elaleh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4oo ah dalkii Rabbigu wax kaga dhuftay reer binu Israa'iil hortooda waa dal xoolo u wanaagsan, oo annagoo addoommadaada ahuna xoolo baannu leennahay.
4the country that Jehovah smote before the assembly of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle;
5Oo weliba waxay yidhaahdeen, Haddaad raalli naga tihiin, annagoo addoommadaada ah dalkan inaannu hantinno noo sii, oo Webi Urdun ha naga gudbin.
5and they said, If we have found favour in thine eyes, let this land be given to thy servants for a possession: bring us not over the Jordan.
6Markaasaa Muuse wuxuu reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen ku yidhi, War, walaalihiin ma dagaalkay galayaan oo idinku aad iska fadhiisanaysaan?
6And Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall *ye* abide here?
7Oo maxaad reer binu Israa'iil uga qalbi jebinaysaan inay u gudbaan oo galaan dalkii Rabbigu iyaga siiyey?
7And why do ye discourage the children of Israel from going over into the land that Jehovah has given them?
8Aabbayaashiinna sidaasay yeeleen markaan iyaga ka diray Qaadeesh Barneeca inay dalka soo arkaan aawadeed.
8Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land:
9Waayo, markay tageen dooxadii Eshkol oo ay dalkii arkeen ayay reer binu Israa'iil qalbi jebiyeen si ayan u gelin dalkii Rabbigu iyaga siiyey.
9they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, and discouraged the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land that Jehovah had given them.
10Maalintaas Rabbigu aad buu u cadhooday, oo intuu dhaartay ayuu yidhi,
10And Jehovah's anger was kindled the same time, and he swore, saying,
11Hubaal dadkii Masar ka soo baxay intii labaatan sannadood jirta ama ka sii weyn, midkoodna ma arki doono dalkii aan ugu dhaartay Ibraahim, iyo Isxaaq, iyo Yacquub, maxaa yeelay, qalbiga igama ay wada raacin,
11If the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob! for they have not wholly followed me;
12Kaaleeb ina Yefunneh oo ahaa reer Qenes, iyo Yashuuca ina Nuun mooyaane; maxaa yeelay, iyagu qalbigay Rabbiga ka wada raaceen.
12save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; for they have wholly followed Jehovah.
13Markaasaa Rabbigu reer binu Israa'iil u cadhooday, oo wuxuu iyagii ka dhigay inay intii afartan sannadood ah cidlada hor iyo dib ugu warwareegaan, ilamaa qarnigii Rabbiga hortiisa xumaanta ku sameeyey oo dhan la wada baabbi'iyey.
13And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation was consumed that had done evil in the eyes of Jehovah.
14Haddaba bal eega, idinku meeshii aabbayaashiin baad ka kacdeen, oo waxaad tihiin niman dembi miidhan ah oo soo kordhay inaad Rabbiga kaga sii cadhaysiisaan reer binu Israa'iil.
14And behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, a progeny of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.
15Waayo, haddaad Rabbiga ka noqotaan, cidlada dhexdeeda ayuu haddana iyaga kaga tegi doonaa, oo dadkan oo dhan waad wada baabbi'in doontaan.
15If ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.
16Markaasay isagii u soo dhowaadeen, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Annagu halkanaannu xoolahayaga xeryo uga oodaynaa, dhallaankayagana magaalooyin waannu uga dhisaynaa,
16And they drew near to him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones;
17laakiinse annaga qudhayadu diyaar baannu ahaanaynaa annagoo hub leh, oo reer binu Israa'iil baannu hor kacaynaa ilamaa aannu iyaga geeyno meeshoodii, oo kuwa dhulka deggan aawadood dhallaankayagu waxay deganaanayaan magaalooyinka deyrarka leh.
17but we ourselves will go with diligence armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place; and our little ones shall dwell in the strong cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18Oo annagu guryahayaga ku soo noqon mayno ilamaa reer binu Israa'iil nin waluba dhaxalkiisa dhaxlo.
18We will not return to our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited each one his inheritance.
19Waayo, annagu iyaga la dhaxli mayno Webi Urdun dhankiisa kale iyo xaggaas hore toona, maxaa yeelay, dhaxalkayagii wuxuu noogu dhacay Webi Urdun dhankiisan bari.
19For we will not inherit with them on yonder side the Jordan, and further, because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side the Jordan eastward.
20Kolkaasaa Muuse wuxuu iyagii ku yidhi, Haddaad waxan samaynaysaan, oo aad Rabbiga hortiisa hub ugu qaadanaysaan dagaalka,
20And Moses said to them, If ye do this thing, if ye arm yourselves before Jehovah for war,
21oo aad raggiinna hubka leh oo dhammu Webi Urdun ku dhaafaysaan Rabbiga hortiisa ilamaa uu isagu cadaawayaashiisa ka wada eryo hortiisa,
21and all of you that are armed go over the Jordan before Jehovah, until he have dispossessed his enemies from before him,
22oo dalkana Rabbiga hortiisa lagaga adkaado, markaas dabadeed idinku waad soo noqonaysaan, oo xagga Rabbiga iyo reer binu Israa'iilba waad ka eedla'aanaysaan, oo dalkanuna Rabbiga hortiisa hanti buu idiinku ahaan doonaa.
22and the land is subdued before Jehovah, and afterwards ye return, ye shall be guiltless toward Jehovah and toward Israel, and this land shall be your possession before Jehovah.
23Laakiinse haddaydnan sidaas yeelin, bal eega, Rabbigaad ku dembaabteen, oo bal ogaada, dembigiinnuna wuu idinku soo bixi doonaa.
23But if ye do not do so, behold, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and be sure your sin will find you out.
24Haddaba dhallaankiinna magaalooyin u dhista, idihiinnana xeryo u oota, oo sameeya wixii afkiinna ka soo baxay.
24Build yourselves cities for your little ones, and folds for your flocks, and do that which has gone out of your mouth.
25Markaasaa reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen la hadleen Muuse, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Annagoo addoommadaada ah waannu samaynaynaa wixii aad nagu amartay, sayidkayagiiyow.
25And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commands.
26Haddaba dhallaankayaga, iyo afooyinkayaga, iyo idahayaga, iyo xoolahayaga oo dhammu halkaasay wada joogi doonaan xagga magaalooyinka Gilecaad;
26Our little ones, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts shall be there in the cities of Gilead;
27laakiinse annagoo addoommadaada ah kulli intayada dagaalka hub u leh oo dhammu Webi Urdun waannu gudbaynaa, oo Rabbiga hortiisa ayaannu ku dagaal galaynaa sidaad tidhi, sayidkaygiiyow.
27but thy servants will pass over, every one armed for war, before Jehovah to battle, as my lord says.
28Sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Muuse amar iyaga ku saabsan siiyey wadaadkii Elecaasaar iyo Yashuuca ina Nuun iyo madaxdii reeraha qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil.
28So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel.
29Oo Muuse wuxuu iyagii ku yidhi, Haddii reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen Webi Urdun idinla gudbaan, intooda Rabbiga hortiisa dagaalka hub u leh oo dhammu, oo dalka lagaga adkaado hortiinna, markaas waa inaad iyaga hanti u siisaan dalka Gilecaad.
29And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben pass with you over the Jordan, every one armed for battle, before Jehovah, and the land be subdued before you, then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;
30Laakiinse haddayan idinla gudbin iyagoo hub leh, waxay hanti ku yeelan doonaan dhexdiinna dalka reer Kancaan.
30but if they do not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
31Markaasaa reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen u jawaabeen, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Sidii Rabbigu nagu yidhi, annagoo addoommadaada ah, ayaannu yeelaynaa.
31And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovah has said to thy servants, so will we do.
32Annagoo hub leh ayaannu gudbaynaa oo Rabbiga hortiisa waxaannu galaynaa dalka reer Kancaan, oo hantidii aan dhaxalka u helnayna waxay noogu hadhaysaa Webi Urdun dhinacan.
32We will pass over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance on this side the Jordan shall be ours.
33Markaasaa Muuse reer Gaad iyo reer Ruubeen iyo qabiilkii reer Manaseh oo ahaa wiilkii Yuusuf badhkood wuxuu siiyey boqorkii reer Amor oo ahaa Siixon boqortooyadiisii, iyo boqorkii Baashaan oo ahaa Coog boqortooyadiisii, oo wuxuu waddankii ugu qaybshay sidii ay ahaayeen magaalooyinka iyo soohdintoodii, xataa magaalooyinkii dalka iyaga ku wareegsan oo dhan.
33And Moses gave to them, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, the land, according to its cities and territories, the cities of the land round about.
34Markaasaa reer Gaad waxay dhisteen Diboon, iyo Cataarood, iyo Carooceer,
34And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35iyo Catrood Shoofaan, iyo Yacser, iyo Yaagbehaah,
35and Atroth-Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbebah,
36iyo Beytnimraah, iyo Beyd Haaraan, kuwaasoo ah magaalooyin deyrar leh, iyo xeryo idaad.
36and Beth-Nimrah, and Beth-haran, strong cities, and sheepfolds.
37Oo reer Ruubeenna waxay dhisteen Xeshboon, iyo Elecaaleeh, iyo Qiryaatayim,
37-- And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elaleh, and Kirjathaim,
38iyo Neboo, iyo Bacal Mecoon, (kuwaasoo magacyadoodii la beddelay,) iyo Sibmaah; oo magacyo kalay u bixiyeen magaalooyinkii ay dhisteen.
38and Nebo, and Baal-meon (of which the names were changed), and Sibmah; and they gave other names to the cities that they built.
39Oo reer Maakiir oo ahaa Manaseh wiilkiisiina waxay tageen dalkii Gilecaad, oo way qabsadeen, oo dadkii reer Amor oo halkaas degganaa ayay hanti tireen.
39-- And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and they dispossessed the Amorites that were therein.
40Oo Muuse wuxuu Gilecaad siiyey reer Maakiir oo ahaa wiilkii Manaseh, oo iyana halkaasay degeen.
40And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.
41Oo reer Yaa'iir ina Manasehna wuu tegey Gilecaad, oo magaalooyinkeedii qabsaday, oo wuxuu magacyadoodii u bixiyey Hawood Yaa'iir.Oo Nobaxna wuu tegey oo wuxuu qabsaday Qenaad iyo tuulooyinkeediiba, markaasuu u bixiyey magiciisa Nobax.
41And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took their hamlets, and called them Havoth-Jair.
42Oo Nobaxna wuu tegey oo wuxuu qabsaday Qenaad iyo tuulooyinkeediiba, markaasuu u bixiyey magiciisa Nobax.
42And Nobah went and took Kenath, and its dependent villages, and called it Nobah, after his name.
