¹А Вилдад Сушанин одговори и рече:

¹Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

²Кад ћете свршити разговор? Оразумите се, па ћемо онда говорити.

²How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

³Зашто се мисли да смо као стока? Зашто смо гадни у вашим очима?

³Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

⁴Који растржеш душу своју у јарости својој, хоће ли се тебе ради оставити земља и стена се преместити са свог места?

⁴He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

⁵Да, видело безбожних угасиће се, и искра огња њиховог неће сијати.

⁵Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

⁶Видело ће помркнути у шатору његовом, и жижак ће се његов угасити у њему.

⁶The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

⁷Силни кораци његови стегнуће се, и обориће га његова намера.

⁷The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

⁸Јер ће се увалити у замку ногама својим и наићи ће на мрежу;

⁸For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

⁹Ухватиће га замка за пету и свладаће га лупеж.

⁹The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

¹⁰Сакривено му је пругло на земљи, и клопка на стази.

¹⁰The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

¹¹Од свуда ће га страхоте страшити и тераће га устопце.

¹¹Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

¹²Изгладнеће сила његова, и невоља ће бити готова уза њ.

¹²His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

¹³Појешће жиле коже његове, појешће жиле његове првенац смрти.

¹³It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

¹⁴Ишчупаће се из стана његовог узданица његова, и то ће га одвести к цару страшном.

¹⁴His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

¹⁵Наставаће се у шатору његовом, који неће бити његов, посуће се сумпором стан његов.

¹⁵It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

¹⁶Жиле ће се његове посушити оздо, и озго ће се сасећи гране његове.

¹⁶His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

¹⁷Спомен ће његов погинути на земљи, нити ће му име бити по улицама.

¹⁷His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

¹⁸Одагнаће се из светлости у мрак, и избациће се из света.

¹⁸He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

¹⁹Ни сина ни унука неће му бити у народу његовом, нити каквог остатка у становима његовим.

¹⁹He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

²⁰Чудиће се дану његовом који буду после њега, а који су били пре обузеће их страх.

²⁰They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

²¹Такви су станови безаконикови, и такво је место оног који не зна за Бога.

²¹Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
