¹И Јов настави беседу своју и рече:

¹Job again took up his parable, and said,

²Тако да је жив Бог, који је одбацио парбу моју, и Свемогући, који је ојадио душу моју,

²“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter.

³Док је душа моја у мени, и дух Божји у ноздрвама мојим,

³(For the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);

⁴Неће усне моје говорити безакоња, нити ће језик мој изрицати преваре.

⁴surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, neither shall my tongue utter deceit.

⁵Не дао Бог да пристанем да имате право; докле дишем, нећу одступити од своје доброте.

⁵Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

⁶Држаћу се правде своје, нити ћу је оставити; неће ме прекорити срце моје докле сам жив.

⁶I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

⁷Непријатељ мој биће као безбожник, и који устаје на ме, као безаконик.

⁷“Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.

⁸Јер како је надање лицемеру, кад се лакоми, а Бог ће ишчупати душу његову?

⁹Хоће ли Бог услишити вику његову кад на њ дође невоља?

¹⁰Хоће ли се Свемогућем радовати? Хоће ли призивати Бога у свако време?

¹⁰Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?

¹¹Учим вас руци Божјој, и како је у Свемогућег не тајим.

¹¹I will teach you about the hand of God. That which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

¹²Ето, ви све видите, зашто дакле једнако говорите залудне ствари?

¹²Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?

¹³То је део човеку безбожном од Бога, и наследство које примају насилници од Свемогућег.

¹³“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.

¹⁴Ако му се множе синови, множе се за мач, и натражје његово неће се наситити хлеба.

¹⁴If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

¹⁵Који остану иза њега, на смрти ће бити погребени, и удовице њихове неће плакати.

¹⁵Those who remain of him shall be buried in death. His widows shall make no lamentation.

¹⁶Ако накупи сребра као праха, и набави хаљина као блата,

¹⁶Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;

¹⁷Шта набави, обући ће праведник, и сребро ће делити безазлени.

¹⁷he may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

¹⁸Гради себи кућу као мољац, и као колибу коју начини чувар.

¹⁸He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes.

¹⁹Богат ће умрети, а неће бити прибран; отвориће очи а ничега неће бити.

¹⁹He lies down rich, but he shall not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.

²⁰Стигнуће га страхоте као воде; ноћу ће га однети олуја.

²⁰Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.

²¹Узеће га ветар источни, и отићи ће; вихор ће га однети с места његовог.

²¹The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place.

²²То ће Бог пустити на њ, и неће га жалити; он ће једнако бежати од руке Његове.

²²For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand.

²³Други ће пљескати рукама за њим, и звиждаће за њим с места његовог.

²³Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
