1 John

4

1 Ay baakoy, araŋ ma si biya* kulu cimandi, amma araŋ ma biyey si ka di hala Irikoy wane yaŋ no. Zama tangari annabi* boobo say-say ndunnya ra.
1Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Woone gaa no araŋ ga Irikoy Biya bay: biya kulu kaŋ goono ga seeda ka ne Yesu Almasihu kaa gaaham ra, nga wo Irikoy wane no.
2By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
3 Biya kulu mo kaŋ si Yesu seeda, manti Irikoy wane no. Nga mo no ga ti Almasihu wane yanjekaaro biya kaŋ araŋ maa baaru kaŋ a go kaa. Za sohõ mo a go ndunnya ra.
3and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.
4 Ize kayney, araŋ wo Irikoy wane yaŋ no. Araŋ te zaama tangari annabey din boŋ. Zama nga kaŋ go araŋ ra bisa nga kaŋ go ndunnya ra gaabi.
4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
5 Borey wo ndunnya wane yaŋ no. Woodin sabbay se i goono ga salaŋ danga ndunnya wane yaŋ. Ndunnya mo goono ga maa i sanney.
5They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
6 Iri wo Irikoy wane yaŋ no. Boro kaŋ ga Irikoy bay ga maa iri se. Boro kaŋ manti Irikoy wane mo si maa iri se. Woodin do no iri ga cimi biya da darayyaŋ biya fayanka.
6We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn’t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Ay baakoy, iri ma ba care zama baakasinay fun Irikoy do. Boro kulu mo kaŋ gonda baakasinay, i n'a hay Irikoy do, a ga Irikoy bay mo.
7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
8 Boro kaŋ sinda baakasinay si Irikoy bay, zama Irikoy ya baakasinay no.
8He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.
9 Woone gaa no Irikoy na nga baakasina bangandi iri se: Irikoy na nga ize follonka donton ndunnya ra zama iri ma funa a sabbo ra.
9By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
10 Woone ra no baakasinay go: manti sanda iri no ba Irikoy bo, amma nga no ba iri ka nga Izo donton a ma ciya sasabandiyaŋ sargay iri zunubey sabbay se.
10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Ay baakoy, da Irikoy ga ba iri yaadin cine, a ga hima iri mo ma ba care.
11Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
12 Boro kulu mana di Irikoy baa ce fo. D'iri ga ba care, Irikoy goono ga goro iri ra, a baakasina mo to iri ra.
12No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
13 Woone gaa no iri ga bay kaŋ iri goono ga goro Irikoy ra, nga mo go iri ra, zama a n'iri no nga Biya.
13By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
14 Iri mo, iri di, iri goono ga seeda mo ka ne kaŋ Baaba na Izo donton zama a ma ciya ndunnya Faabako.
14We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.
15 Boro kulu kaŋ ga seeda ka ne Yesu ya Irikoy Izo no, Irikoy goono ga goro bora din ra, nga mo go Irikoy ra.
15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
16 Iri mo, iri ga baakasina bay kaŋ Irikoy gonda iri se, iri n'a cimandi mo. Irikoy ya baakasinay no. Boro kaŋ goono ga goro baakasinay ra, a goono ga goro Irikoy ra. Irikoy mo goono ga goro a ra.
16We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
17 Danga mate kaŋ cine Almasihu go, yaadin no iri mo go ndunnyo wo ra. Woodin do no baakasinay ciya toonante iri ra, zama iri ma bara nda bine-gaabi ciiti zaaro ra.
17In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.
18 Humburkumay si baakasinay ra, amma baakasinay toonante ga humburkumay gaaray, zama boro kaŋ ga humburu, goojiyaŋ sabbay se no a goono ga humburu. Boro kaŋ goono ga humburu mo, manti toonante no baakasinay ra.
18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 Iri gonda baakasinay zama Irikoy jin ka ba iri.
19We love him, because he first loved us.
20 Da boro fo ga ne: «Ay ga ba Irikoy,» amma a goono ga konna nga nya-izo, a ciya tangarikom. Zama boro kaŋ si ba nga nya-izo kaŋ a go ga di si hin ka ba Irikoy kaŋ a mana di.
20If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
21 Lordo wo mo, Almasihu do no iri du a: boro kaŋ ga ba Irikoy ma ba nga nya-izo mo.
21This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
