1Mina bröder, om så händer att någon ertappas med att begå en försyndelse, då mån I, som ären andliga människor, upprätta honom i saktmods ande. Och du må hava akt på dig själv, att icke också du bliver frestad.
1Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who [are] spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself — lest thou also may be tempted;
2Bären varandras bördor; så uppfyllen I Kristi lag.
2of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ,
3Ty om någon tycker sig något vara, fastän han intet är, så bedrager han sig själv.
3for if any one doth think [himself] to be something — being nothing — himself he doth deceive;
4Må var och en pröva sina egna gärningar; han skall då tillmäta sig berömmelse allenast efter vad han själv är, och icke efter vad andra äro.
4and his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other,
5Ty var och en har sin egen börda att bära.
5for each one his own burden shall bear.
6Den som får undervisning i ordet, han låte den som undervisar honom få del med sig i allt gott.
6And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructing — in all good things.
7Faren icke vilse. Gud låter icke gäcka sig. Ty vad människan sår, det skall hon ock skörda.
7Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sow — that also he shall reap,
8Den som sår i sitt kötts åker, han skall av köttet skörda förgängelse, men den som sår i Andens åker, han skall av Anden skörda evigt liv.
8because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during;
9Och låtom oss icke förtröttas att göra vad gott är; ty om vi icke uppgivas, så skola vi, när tiden är inne, få inbärga vår skörd.
9and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reap — not desponding;
10Må vi alltså, medan vi hava tillfälle, göra vad gott är mot var man, och först och främst mot dem som äro våra medbröder i tron.
10therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith.
11Sen här med vilka stora bokstäver jag egenhändigt skriver till eder!
11Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand;
12Alla de som eftersträva ett gott anseende här i köttet, de vilja nödga eder till omskärelse, detta allenast för att de själva skola undgå att bliva förföljda för Kristi kors' skull.
12as many as are willing to make a good appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcised — only that for the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted,
13Ty icke ens dessa omskurna själva hålla lagen. Nej, det är för att kunna berömma sig av edert kött som de vilja att I skolen låta omskära eder.
13for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory.
14Men vad mig angår, så vare det fjärran ifrån mig att berömma mig av något annat än av vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, kors, genom vilket världen för mig är korsfäst, och jag för världen.
14And for me, let it not be — to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world;
15Ty det kommer icke an på om någon är omskuren eller oomskuren; allt beror på huruvida han är en ny skapelse.
15for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation;
16Och över alla dem som komma att vandra efter detta rättesnöre, över dem vare frid och barmhärtighet, ja, över Guds Israel.
16and as many as by this rule do walk — peace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God!
17Må nu ingen härefter vålla mig oro; ty jag bär Jesu märken på min kropp.
17Henceforth, let no one give me trouble, for I the scars of the Lord Jesus in my body do bear.
18Vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, nåd vare med eder ande, mina bröder. Amen.
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with your spirit, brethren! Amen.
