1Halleluja! Lova HERREN, min själ.
1Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah, O my soul.
2Jag vill lova HERREN, så länge jag lever, jag vill lovsjunga min Gud, så länge jag är till.
2As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.
3Förliten eder icke på furstar, icke på en människoson, han kan icke hjälpa.
3Put not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
4Hans ande måste sin väg, han vänder tillbaka till den jord varav han är kommen; då varda hans anslag om intet.
4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.
5Säll är den vilkens hjälp är Jakobs Gud, den vilkens hopp står till HERREN, hans Gud,
5Blessed is he who hath the ùGod of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,
6till honom som har gjort himmelen och jorden och havet och allt vad i dem är, till honom som håller tro evinnerligen,
6Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;
7som skaffar rätt åt de förtryckta, som giver bröd åt de hungrande. HERREN löser de fångna,
7Who executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;
8HERREN öppnar de blindas ögon, HERREN upprättar de nedböjda, HERREN älskar de rättfärdiga,
8Jehovah openeth [the eyes of] the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;
9HERREN bevarar främlingar, faderlösa och änkor uppehåller han; men de ogudaktigas väg vänder han i villa.
9Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.
10HERREN är konung evinnerligen, din Gud, Sion, från släkte till släkte. Halleluja!
10Jehovah will reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halleluiah!
