⁴More glorious art thou, more excellent, than the mountains of prey.

⁵Full av ljus och härlighet går du fram ifrån segerbytenas berg.

⁵The stout-hearted are made a spoil, they have slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.

⁶De stormodiga äro avväpnade, de hava slumrat in och sova; alla stridsmännen hava måst låta händerna falla.

⁶At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

⁷För din näpst, du Jakobs Gud, ligga domnade både man och häst.

⁷Thou, thou art to be feared, and who can stand before thee when once thou art angry?

⁸Du, du är fruktansvärd; vem kan bestå inför dig, när du vredgas?

⁸Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from the heavens; the earth feared, and was still,

⁹Från himmelen lät du höra din dom; då förskräcktes jorden och vart stilla,

⁹When God rose up to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

¹⁰då när Gud stod upp till dom, till att frälsa alla ödmjuka på jorden. Sela.

¹⁰For the fury of man shall praise thee; the remainder of fury wilt thou gird on thyself.

¹¹Ty människors vrede varder dig till pris; du har vrede till övers att omgjorda dit med.

¹¹Vow and pay unto Jehovah your God: let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that is to be feared.

¹²Gören löften och infrien dem åt HERREN, eder Gud; alla de som äro omkring honom bäre fram skänker åt den Fruktansvärde.

¹²He cutteth off the spirit of princes; [he] is terrible to the kings of the earth.
