¹கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் வழக்காளிகளோடே வழக்காடி, என்னோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களோடே யுத்தம் பண்ணும்.

¹Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

²நீர் கேடகத்தையும் பரிசையையும் பிடித்து, எனக்கு ஒத்தாசையாக எழுந்து நில்லும்.

²Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

³என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறவர்களோடு எதிர்த்து நின்று, ஈட்டியையோங்கி அவர்களை மறித்து: நான் உன் இரட்சிப்பு என்று என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குச் சொல்லும்.

³Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”

⁴என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கப்பட்டுக் கலங்குவார்களாக; எனக்குத் தீங்குசெய்ய நினைக்கிறவர்கள் நாணமடைவார்களாக.

⁴Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

⁵அவர்கள் காற்றுமுகத்தில் பறக்கும் பதரைப்போலாவார்களாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைத் துரத்துவானாக.

⁵Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on.

⁶அவர்களுடைய வழி இருளும் சறுக்கலுமாயிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடருவானாக.

⁶Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them.

⁷முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் எனக்காகத் தங்கள் வலையைக் குழியில் ஒளித்துவைத்தார்கள்; முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குப் படுகுழி வெட்டினார்கள்.

⁷For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.

⁸அவன் நினையாத அழிவு அவனுக்கு வரவும், அவன் மறைவாய் வைத்த வலை அவனையே பிடிக்கவுங்கடவது; அவனே அந்தக் குழியில் விழுந்து அழிவானாக.

⁸Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.

⁹என் ஆத்துமா கர்த்தரில் களிகூர்ந்து, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்.

⁹My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation.

¹⁰சிறுமைப்பட்டவனை அவனிலும் பலவானுடைய கைக்கும், சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனைக் கொள்ளையிடுகிறவனுடைய கைக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிற உமக்கொப்பானவர் யார் கர்த்தாவே, என்று என் எலும்புகளெல்லாம் சொல்லும்.

¹⁰All my bones shall say, “Yahweh, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”

¹¹கொடுமையான சாட்சிகள் எழும்பி, நான் அறியாததை என்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

¹¹Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.

¹²நான் செய்த நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாகத் தீமைசெய்கிறார்கள்; என் ஆத்துமா திக்கற்றுப்போகப் பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

¹²They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.

¹³அவர்கள் வியாதியாயிருந்தபோது இரட்டு என் உடுப்பாயிருந்தது; நான் உபவாசத்தால் என் ஆத்துமாவை உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினேன்; என் ஜெபமும் என் மடியிலே திரும்பவந்தது.

¹³But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.

¹⁴நான் அவனை என் சிநேகிதனாகவும் சகோதரனாகவும் பாவித்து நடந்துகொண்டேன்; தாய்க்காகத் துக்கிக்கிறவனைப்போல் துக்கவஸ்திரம் தரித்துத் தலைகவிழ்த்து நடந்தேன்.

¹⁴I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

¹⁵ஆனாலும் எனக்கு ஆபத்துண்டானபோது அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் கூட்டங்கூடினார்கள்; நீசரும் நான் அறியாதவர்களும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடி, ஓயாமல் என்னை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

¹⁵But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.

¹⁶அப்பத்திற்காக இச்சகம் பேசுகிற பரியாசக்காரரோடே சேர்ந்துகொண்டு என்பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁶Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.

¹⁷ஆண்டவரே, எதுவரைக்கும் இதைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருப்பீர்? என் ஆத்துமாவை அழிவுக்கும், எனக்கு அருமையானதைச் சிங்கக்குட்டிகளுக்கும் தப்புவியும்.

¹⁷Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

¹⁸மகா சபையிலே உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன், திரளான ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே உம்மைப் புகழுவேன்.

¹⁸I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.

¹⁹வீணாய் எனக்குச் சத்துருக்களானவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷியாமலும், முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் கண் சிமிட்டாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.

¹⁹Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

²⁰அவர்கள் சமாதானமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தேசத்திலே அமைதலாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் வஞ்சகமான காரியங்களைக் கருதுகிறார்கள்.

²⁰For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

²¹எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்து, ஆ ஆ, ஆ ஆ, எங்கள் கண் கண்டது என்கிறார்கள்.

²¹Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

²²கர்த்தாவே, நீர் இதைக் கண்டீர், மவுனமாயிராதேயும்; ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குத் தூரமாகாதேயும்.

²²You have seen it, Yahweh. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.

²³என் தேவனே, என் ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யவும் என் வழக்கைத் தீர்க்கவும் விழித்துக்கொண்டு எழுந்தருளும்.

²³Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!

²⁴என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நீதியின்படி என்னை நியாயம் விசாரியும், என்னைக்குறித்து அவர்களை மகிழவொட்டாதிரும்.

²⁴Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.

²⁵அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்திலே: ஆ ஆ, இதுவே நாங்கள் விரும்பினது என்று சொல்லாதபடிக்கும், அவனை விழுங்கிவிட்டோம் என்று பேசாதபடிக்கும் செய்யும்.

²⁵Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”

²⁶எனக்கு நேரிட்ட ஆபத்துக்காகச் சந்தோஷிக்கிறவர்கள் ஏகமாய் வெட்கி நாணி, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கத்தாலும் இலச்சையாலும் மூடப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

²⁶Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

²⁷என் நீதிவிளங்க விரும்புகிறவர்கள் கெம்பீரித்து மகிழ்ந்து, தமது ஊழியக்காரனுடைய சுகத்தை விரும்புகிற கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமை உண்டாவதாக என்று எப்போதும் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

²⁷Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, “Yahweh be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”

²⁸என் நாவு உமது நீதியையும், நாள்முழுவதும் உமது துதியையும் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.
