¹ณ เยรูซาเล็ม ดาวิดได้ทรงเรียกประชุมบรรดาเจ้านายทั้งสิ้นของอิสราเอล คือเจ้านายของตระกูล และผู้บัญชาการกองทัพที่รับราชการตามเวร นายพันนายร้อย และพนักงานทั้งสิ้นผู้ดูแลทรัพย์สมบัติและฝูงสัตว์ของกษัตริย์และโอรสของพระองค์ พร้อมกับพนักงานราชสำนัก ทแกล้วทหารและวีรบุรุษทั้งสิ้น

¹David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies who served the king by division, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers, and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, to Jerusalem.

²แล้วกษัตริย์ดาวิดทรงลุกขึ้นประทับยืน และตรัสว่า "พี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า และประชาชนของข้าพเจ้า ขอจงฟังข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้ามีใจประสงค์ที่จะสร้างพระนิเวศอันเป็นที่พักของหีบพันธสัญญาของพระเยโฮวาห์ และเพื่อเป็นที่รองพระบาทของพระเจ้าของเรา และข้าพเจ้าได้จัดเตรียมการก่อสร้างไว้เสร็จแล้ว

²Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said, “Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

³แต่พระเจ้าตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `เจ้าอย่าสร้างนิเวศเพื่อนามของเราเลย เพราะเจ้าเป็นนักรบและได้ทำโลหิตให้ตก'

³But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.’

⁴ถึงกระนั้นก็ดีพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลทรงเลือกข้าพเจ้าจากเรือนบรรพบุรุษของข้าพเจ้าทั้งหมด ให้เป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอลเป็นนิตย์ เพราะพระองค์ทรงเลือกยูดาห์ให้เป็นประมุข และในวงศ์วานของยูดาห์ เรือนบรรพบุรุษของข้าพเจ้า และในบรรดาบุตรชายของบิดาข้าพเจ้า พระองค์ทรงพอพระทัยในข้าพเจ้า และทรงให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอลทั้งปวง

⁴However Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

⁵และบุตรชายทั้งสิ้นของข้าพเจ้า (เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงประทานบุตรชายเป็นอันมากแก่ข้าพเจ้า) พระองค์ทรงเลือกซาโลมอนบุตรชายของข้าพเจ้าให้นั่งบัลลังก์แห่งราชอาณาจักรของพระเยโฮวาห์เหนืออิสราเอล

⁵Of all my sons (for Yahweh has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of Yahweh’s kingdom over Israel.

⁶พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `ซาโลมอนบุตรชายของเจ้าจะสร้างนิเวศของเราและลานนิเวศของเรา เพราะเราได้เลือกเขาให้เป็นลูกของเรา และเราจะเป็นพ่อของเขา

⁶He said to me, ‘Solomon, your son, shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

⁷เราจะสถาปนาราชอาณาจักรของเขาให้อยู่เป็นนิตย์ ถ้าเขาจะเพียรแน่วแน่อยู่ในการรักษาปฏิบัติตามบัญญัติของเราและคำตัดสินของเราอย่างที่เขาทำอยู่ในวันนี้'

⁷I will establish his kingdom forever, if he continues to do my commandments and my ordinances, as at this day.’

⁸เพราะฉะนั้นบัดนี้ท่ามกลางสายตาของคนอิสราเอลทั้งปวงอันเป็นชุมนุมชนของพระเยโฮวาห์ และต่อพระกรรณของพระเจ้าของเรา จงประพฤติตามและแสวงพระบัญญัติทั้งสิ้นของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้าทั้งหลาย เพื่อเจ้าจะได้กรรมสิทธิ์แผ่นดินอันดีนี้ และมอบไว้ให้เป็นมรดกของลูกหลานผู้มาภายหลังเจ้าสืบไปเป็นนิตย์

⁸Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of Yahweh, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Yahweh your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

⁹ซาโลมอนบุตรของเราเอ๋ย เจ้าจงรู้จักพระเจ้าของบิดาเจ้า และจงปรนนิบัติพระองค์ด้วยใจจริงและด้วยความเต็มใจของเจ้า เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงพิจารณาจิตใจทั้งปวง และทรงเข้าใจในแผนงานแห่งความคิดทั้งปวง ถ้าเจ้าแสวงหาพระองค์ เจ้าจะพบพระองค์ แต่ถ้าเจ้าทอดทิ้งพระองค์ พระองค์จะทรงเหวี่ยงเจ้าออกไปเสียเป็นนิตย์

⁹You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

¹⁰บัดนี้จงฟังให้ดี เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเลือกเจ้าให้สร้างพระนิเวศเพื่อเป็นสถานบริสุทธิ์ จงเข้มแข็งและทำให้สำเร็จเถิด"

¹⁰Take heed now; for Yahweh has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”

¹¹แล้วดาวิดทรงมอบให้กับซาโลมอนโอรสของพระองค์ ซึ่งแผนผังมุขของพระวิหารและแผนผังเรือนต่างๆของพระวิหารนั้น คลังและห้องชั้นบน และห้องชั้นใน และห้องสำหรับพระที่นั่งกรุณา

¹¹Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch of the temple, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of the upper rooms of it, and of the inner rooms of it, and of the place of the mercy seat;

¹²และแผนผังทั้งสิ้นซึ่งพระองค์มีอยู่ในพระทัย ในเรื่องลานของพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และบรรดาห้องระเบียงรอบ และคลังสำหรับพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า และคลังสำหรับบรรดาของถวาย

¹²and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, for the courts of the house of Yahweh, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of God’s house, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things;

¹³และผังสำหรับเวรปุโรหิตและคนเลวี และงานปรนนิบัติทั้งสิ้นในพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และสำหรับบรรดาเครื่องใช้ในงานปรนนิบัติในพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์

¹³also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Yahweh, and for all the vessels of service in the house of Yahweh;

¹⁴พระองค์ทรงมอบน้ำหนักทองคำของเครื่องใช้ทองคำทุกอย่างสำหรับการปรนนิบัติแต่ละอย่าง น้ำหนักเงินของเครื่องใช้เงินทุกอย่างสำหรับงานปรนนิบัติแต่ละอย่าง

¹⁴of gold by weight for the gold, for all vessels of every kind of service; for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service;

¹⁵น้ำหนักของเชิงประทีปทองคำและตะเกียงทองคำ น้ำหนักของเชิงประทีปแต่ละคันกับตะเกียงแต่ละดวง น้ำหนักเงินของเชิงประทีป ทั้งเชิงประทีปกับตะเกียงนั้น ตามที่จะใช้คันประทีปแต่ละคัน

¹⁵by weight also for the lampstands of gold, and for its lamps, of gold, by weight for every lampstand and for its lamps; and for the lampstands of silver, by weight for every lampstand and for its lamps, according to the use of every lampstand;

¹⁶น้ำหนักทองคำสำหรับโต๊ะขนมปังหน้าพระพักตร์แต่ละโต๊ะ เงินสำหรับโต๊ะเงิน

¹⁶and the gold by weight for the tables of show bread, for every table; and silver for the tables of silver;

¹⁷และขอเกี่ยวเนื้อ ชาม กับคนโทเป็นทองคำบริสุทธิ์ ชามทองคำและน้ำหนักทองคำของแต่ละลูก ชามเงินและน้ำหนักเงินของแต่ละลูก

¹⁷and the forks, and the basins, and the cups, of pure gold; and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl;

¹⁸แท่นเครื่องหอมทำด้วยทองคำเนื้อละเอียดและน้ำหนักของแท่นนั้น ทั้งแผนผังสำหรับรถรบทองคำของเครูบ ซึ่งกางปีกออกปกหีบพันธสัญญาของพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁸and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot, the cherubim, that spread out, and covered the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.

¹⁹ดาวิดตรัสว่า "สิ่งทั้งปวงเหล่านี้พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเข้าใจโดยอาศัยลายพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์เหนือข้าพเจ้า คืองานทุกอย่างซึ่งจะต้องกระทำตามแผนผังนั้น"

¹⁹“All this,” said David, “I have been made to understand in writing from the hand of Yahweh, even all the works of this pattern.”

²⁰แล้วดาวิดตรัสกับซาโลมอนโอรสของพระองค์ว่า "จงเข้มแข็งและกล้าหาญ และทำให้สำเร็จเถิด อย่ากลัวเลย อย่าขยาด เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้า คือพระเจ้าของข้าจะทรงสถิตกับเจ้า พระองค์จะไม่ทรงปล่อยให้เจ้าล้มเหลวหรือทอดทิ้งเจ้า จนกว่างานทั้งสิ้นสำหรับงานปรนนิบัติแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์จะสำเร็จ

²⁰David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed; for Yahweh God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of Yahweh is finished.

²¹ดูเถิด มีเวรปุโรหิตและคนเลวี จะอยู่กับเจ้าสำหรับงานปรนนิบัติทุกอย่างแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า ในการนี้ทั้งสิ้นจะมีคนอยู่กับเจ้า คือทุกคนที่เต็มใจ และเป็นผู้มีฝีมือในงานปรนนิบัติทุกอย่าง ทั้งประมุขและประชาชนทั้งปวงจะอยู่ในบังคับบัญชาของเจ้าทั้งสิ้น"

²¹Behold, there are the divisions of the priests and the Levites, for all the service of God’s house. There shall be with you in all kinds of work every willing man who has skill, for any kind of service. Also the captains and all the people will be entirely at your command.”
