¹David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.

²เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงจัดเตรียมไว้สำหรับพระนิเวศของพระเจ้าของเรา เต็มความสามารถของเรา คือทองคำสำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยทองคำ และเงินสำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยเงิน และทองสัมฤทธิ์สำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยทองสัมฤทธิ์ และเหล็กสำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยเหล็ก และไม้สำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยไม้ มีพลอยสีน้ำข้าว และพลอยสำหรับฝัง พลวง หินลาย เพชรพลอยทุกชนิดและหินอ่อนมายมาย

²Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the brass for the things of brass, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, stones for inlaid work, and of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

³In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

⁴even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses;

⁵ทองคำสำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยทองคำ และเงินสำหรับสิ่งที่ทำด้วยเงิน และเพื่องานทั้งสิ้นที่ช่างจะต้องทำด้วยมือ ใครบ้างเต็มใจที่จะถวายของพร้อมกับถวายตัวแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ในวันนี้"

⁵of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself this day to Yahweh?”

⁶แล้วเจ้านายของบรรพบุรุษ บรรดาประมุขของตระกูลแห่งอิสราเอล ทั้งนายพันนายร้อย และพนักงานดูแลราชการก็ถวายด้วยความเต็มใจ

⁶Then the princes of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king’s work, offered willingly;

⁷เขาทั้งหลายถวายเพื่องานปรนนิบัติแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า เป็นทองคำห้าพันตะลันต์ และหนึ่งหมื่นดาริค เงินหนึ่งหมื่นตะลันต์ ทองสัมฤทธิ์หนึ่งหมื่นแปดพันตะลันต์ และเหล็กหนึ่งแสนตะลันต์

⁷and they gave for the service of God’s house of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents.

⁸ผู้ใดที่มีเพชรพลอยก็ถวายไว้ที่คลังพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ ในความดูแลของเยฮีเอลคนเกอร์โชน

⁸They with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of Yahweh, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

⁹แล้วประชาชนก็เปรมปรีดิ์ เพราะเขาถวายสิ่งเหล่านี้ตามความสมัครใจของเขา เพราะเขาถวายด้วยความจริงใจและความเต็มใจแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ กษัตริย์ดาวิดก็ทรงเปรมปรีดิ์เป็นที่ยิ่งด้วย

⁹Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Yahweh: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

¹⁰เพราะฉะนั้นดาวิดจึงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ต่อหน้าชุมนุมชนทั้งปวง และดาวิดทูลว่า "ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลบรรพบุรุษของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย สาธุการแด่พระองค์เป็นนิตย์และเป็นนิตย์

¹⁰Therefore David blessed Yahweh before all the assembly; and David said, “You are blessed, Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever.

¹¹ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ความยิ่งใหญ่ ฤทธานุภาพ สง่าราศี ชัยชนะ และความโอ่อ่าตระการเป็นของพระองค์ และบรรดาสิ่งที่มีอยู่ในฟ้าสวรรค์และในแผ่นดินโลกเป็นของพระองค์ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ราชอาณาจักรเป็นของพระองค์ และพระองค์ทรงเป็นที่ยกย่องเป็นจอมของสิ่งสารพัด

¹¹Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.

¹²ทั้งความมั่งคั่งและเกียรติมาจากพระองค์ และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองอยู่เหนือทุกสิ่ง ฤทธานุภาพและมหิทธิฤทธิ์อยู่ในพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ และอยู่ที่พระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ที่จะทรงกระทำให้ใหญ่ยิ่งและประทานกำลังแก่คนทั้งมวล

¹²Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all; and in your hand is power and might; and it is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all.

¹³บัดนี้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายโมทนาพระคุณพระองค์ผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ และสรรเสริญพระนามอันรุ่งโรจน์ของพระองค์

¹³Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.

¹⁴แต่ข้าพระองค์เป็นผู้ใด และชนชาติของข้าพระองค์เป็นผู้ใด ที่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายจะสามารถถวายแด่พระองค์ด้วยความเต็มใจเช่นนี้ เพราะว่าสิ่งของทุกอย่างมาจากพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้ถวายของที่เป็นของพระองค์แด่พระองค์เท่านั้น

¹⁴But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

¹⁵เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายเป็นคนต่างด้าวต่างแดนต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ และเป็นคนอาศัยอยู่ชั่วคราว ดังที่บรรพบุรุษของข้าพระองค์ได้เป็นอย่างนั้นมาแล้ว วันปีของข้าพระองค์บนแผ่นดินโลกเป็นเหมือนเงา และไม่มีอะไรจีรัง

¹⁵For we are strangers before you, and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.

¹⁶ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ของมากมายเหล่านี้ทั้งสิ้นซึ่งข้าพระองค์จัดหาเพื่อสร้างพระนิเวศถวายแด่พระองค์เพื่อพระนามบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ มาจากพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ และเป็นของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้น

¹⁶Yahweh our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and is all your own.

¹⁷ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ทราบแน่ว่า พระองค์ทรงทดลองจิตใจ และทรงพอพระทัยในความเที่ยงธรรม ส่วนข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ได้ถวายทุกสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งสิ้นด้วยความเต็มใจในความเที่ยงธรรมแห่งจิตใจของข้าพระองค์ และบัดนี้ข้าพระองค์ชื่นใจที่ได้เห็นประชาชนของพระองค์ ผู้ซึ่งอยู่ ณ ที่นี้ได้เต็มใจถวายแด่พระองค์

¹⁷I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now have I seen with joy your people, that are present here, offer willingly to you.

¹⁸ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของอับราฮัม อิสอัคและอิสราเอลบรรพบุรุษของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ขอพระองค์ทรงรักษาความประสงค์แห่งความคิดในใจของประชาชนของพระองค์ให้เป็นเช่นนี้เสมอไป และขอทรงตั้งจิตใจของเขาทั้งหลายให้มั่นในพระองค์

¹⁸Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart for you;

¹⁹ขอพระองค์ทรงโปรดซาโลมอนบุตรชายของข้าพระองค์ให้มีจิตใจจริงที่จะรักษาบรรดาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์ พระโอวาทของพระองค์ และกฎเกณฑ์ของพระองค์ และให้กระทำทุกอย่างเหล่านี้ และสร้างนิเวศตามซึ่งข้าพระองค์ได้ตระเตรียมไว้แล้วนั้น"

¹⁹and give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.”

²⁰แล้วดาวิดตรัสกับชุมนุมชนทั้งปวงว่า "จงถวายสาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทั้งหลาย" และชุมนุมชนทั้งปวงก็สรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของเขาทั้งหลาย และก้มศีรษะของเขาทั้งหลายลงและนมัสการพระเยโฮวาห์ และถวายบังคมแด่กษัตริย์

²⁰David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God!” All the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads and prostrated themselves before Yahweh and the king.

²¹และเขาทั้งหลายได้ถวายสัตวบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ และถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ในวันรุ่งขึ้นต่อจากวันนั้น เป็นวัวผู้หนึ่งพันตัว แกะผู้หนึ่งพันตัว ลูกแกะหนึ่งพันตัว พร้อมกับเครื่องดื่มบูชาที่คู่กัน และถวายสัตวบูชาอย่างมากมายเพื่ออิสราเอลทั้งปวง

²¹They sacrificed sacrifices to Yahweh, and offered burnt offerings to Yahweh, on the next day after that day, even one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, and one thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,

²²และเขาทั้งหลายได้กินได้ดื่มต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ในวันนั้นด้วยความยินดียิ่ง และเขาทั้งหลายได้ตั้งซาโลมอนโอรสของดาวิดเป็นกษัตริย์เป็นคำรบสอง และเขาทั้งหลายได้เจิมท่านไว้ให้เป็นเจ้านายเพื่อพระเยโฮวาห์ และศาโดกให้เป็นปุโรหิต

²²and ate and drink before Yahweh on that day with great gladness. They made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him to Yahweh to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.

²³แล้วซาโลมอนทรงประทับบนพระที่นั่งของพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นกษัตริย์แทนดาวิดราชบิดาของพระองค์ และพระองค์ทรงเจริญขึ้น และอิสราเอลทั้งปวงก็เชื่อฟังพระองค์

²³Then Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

²⁴บรรดาประมุขทั้งปวง และทแกล้วทหารทั้งหลาย ทั้งบรรดาโอรสของกษัตริย์ดาวิดได้ปฏิญาณตัวต่อกษัตริย์ซาโลมอน

²⁴All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of king David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.

²⁵และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงให้ซาโลมอนมีเกียรติยศอย่างเหลือล้นท่ามกลางสายตาของอิสราเอลทั้งปวง และทรงประทานความสง่าผ่าเผยของกษัตริย์แก่พระองค์ อย่างที่ไม่มีกษัตริย์องค์ใดในอิสราเอลที่มาก่อนพระองค์ได้รับ

²⁵Yahweh magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

²⁶ฝ่ายดาวิดบุตรชายเจสซีได้ครอบครองเหนืออิสราเอลทั้งปวง

²⁶Now David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

²⁷เวลาที่พระองค์ทรงครอบครองเหนืออิสราเอลนั้นเป็นสี่สิบปี พระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเฮโบรนเจ็ดปี และทรงครอบครองในเยรูซาเล็มสามสิบสามปี

²⁷The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

²⁸แล้วพระองค์สิ้นพระชนม์เมื่อทรงพระชรามาก หง่อมแล้ว ทั้งทรงมั่งคั่งและมีพระเกียรติ และซาโลมอนโอรสของพระองค์ครอบครองแทนพระองค์

²⁸He died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his place.

²⁹ส่วนพระราชกิจของกษัตริย์ดาวิด ตั้งแต่ต้นจนที่สุด ดูเถิด ได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของซามูเอลผู้ทำนาย และในหนังสือของนาธันผู้พยากรณ์ และในหนังสือของกาดผู้ทำนาย

²⁹Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the history of Samuel the seer, and in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the seer,

³⁰มีเรื่องราวการครอบครองของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้น และยุทธพลังของพระองค์ และเรื่องราวที่บังเกิดกับพระองค์และกับอิสราเอล และบรรดาราชอาณาจักรทั้งสิ้นของประเทศต่างๆ

³⁰with all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
