1ท่านทั้งหลายก็จงปฏิบัติตามอย่างข้าพเจ้า เหมือนอย่างที่ข้าพเจ้าปฏิบัติตามอย่างพระคริสต์
1Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2พี่น้องทั้งหลาย บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าขอชมท่านทั้งหลายเพราะท่านได้ระลึกถึงข้าพเจ้าทุกประการ และท่านได้รักษากฎที่ข้าพเจ้าได้มอบไว้กับท่าน
2Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.
3แต่ข้าพเจ้าใคร่ให้ท่านทั้งหลายเข้าใจว่า พระคริสต์ทรงเป็นศีรษะของชายทุกคน และชายเป็นศีรษะของหญิง และพระเจ้าทรงเป็นพระเศียรของพระคริสต์
3But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.
4ชายทุกคนที่กำลังอธิษฐานหรือพยากรณ์โดยคลุมศีรษะอยู่ ก็ทำความอัปยศแก่ศีรษะ
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
5แต่หญิงทุกคนที่กำลังอธิษฐานหรือพยากรณ์ ถ้าไม่คลุมศีรษะ ก็ทำความอัปยศแก่ศีรษะ เพราะเหมือนกับว่านางได้โกนผมเสียแล้ว
5But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.
6ถ้าผู้หญิงไม่ได้คลุมศีรษะ ก็ควรจะตัดผมเสีย แต่ถ้าการที่ผู้หญิงจะตัดผมหรือโกนผมนั้นเป็นสิ่งที่น่าอับอาย จงคลุมศีรษะเสีย
6For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.
7เพราะการที่ผู้ชายไม่สมควรจะคลุมศีรษะนั้น ก็เพราะว่าผู้ชายเป็นพระฉายาและสง่าราศีของพระเจ้า ส่วนผู้หญิงนั้นเป็นสง่าราศีของผู้ชาย
7For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.
8เพราะว่าไม่ได้ทรงสร้างผู้ชายจากผู้หญิง แต่ได้ทรงสร้างผู้หญิงจากผู้ชาย
8For man is not from woman, but woman from man;
9และไม่ได้ทรงสร้างผู้ชายไว้สำหรับผู้หญิง แต่ทรงสร้างผู้หญิงไว้สำหรับผู้ชาย
9for neither was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.
10ด้วยเหตุนี้เอง ผู้หญิงจึงควรจะเอาสัญญลักษณ์แห่งอำนาจนี้คลุมศีรษะ เพราะเห็นแก่พวกทูตสวรรค์
10For this cause the woman ought to have authority on her head, because of the angels.
11ถึงกระนั้นก็ดี ในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ผู้ชายก็ต้องพึ่งผู้หญิงและผู้หญิงก็ต้องพึ่งผู้ชาย
11Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.
12เพราะว่าผู้หญิงนั้นทรงสร้างมาจากผู้ชายฉันใด ต่อมาผู้ชายก็เกิดมาจากผู้หญิงฉันนั้น แต่สิ่งสารพัดก็มีมาจากพระเจ้า
12For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.
13ท่านทั้งหลายจงตัดสินเองเถิดว่า เป็นการสมควรหรือไม่ที่ผู้หญิงจะไม่คลุมศีรษะเมื่ออธิษฐานต่อพระเจ้า
13Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?
14ธรรมชาติเองไม่ได้สอนท่านหรือว่า ถ้าผู้ชายไว้ผมยาวก็เป็นที่น่าอายแก่ตัว
14Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
15แต่ถ้าผู้หญิงไว้ผมยาวก็เป็นสง่าราศีแก่ตัว เพราะว่าผมเป็นสิ่งที่ประทานให้แก่เขาเพื่อคลุมศีรษะ
15But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.
16แต่ถ้าผู้ใดจะโต้แย้ง เราและคริสตจักรของพระเจ้าไม่รับธรรมเนียมอย่างที่โต้แย้งนั้น
16But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.
17แล้วในการให้คำสั่งต่อไปนี้ ข้าพเจ้าชมท่านไม่ได้ คือว่าการประชุมของท่านนั้นมักจะได้ผลเสียมากกว่าผลดี
17But in giving you this command, I don’t praise you, that you come together not for the better but for the worse.
18ประการแรกข้าพเจ้าได้ยินว่า เมื่อท่านประชุมคริสตจักรนั้น มีการแตกก๊กแตกเหล่าในพวกท่าน และข้าพเจ้าเชื่อว่าคงมีความจริงอยู่บ้าง
18For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.
19เพราะจะต้องมีการขัดแย้งกันบ้างในพวกท่าน เพื่อคนฝ่ายถูกในพวกท่านจะได้ปรากฏเด่นขึ้น
19For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.
20เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายประชุมพร้อมกันนั้น ท่านจึงประชุมรับประทานเป็นที่ระลึกถึงองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าไม่ได้
20When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.
21เพราะว่าเมื่อท่านรับประทาน บ้างก็รับประทานอาหารของตนก่อนคนอื่น บ้างก็ยังหิวอยู่ และบ้างก็เมา
21For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.
22อะไรกันนี่ ท่านไม่มีเรือนที่จะกินและดื่มหรือ หรือว่าท่านดูหมิ่นคริสตจักรของพระเจ้า และทำให้คนที่ขัดสนได้รับความอับอาย จะให้ข้าพเจ้าว่าอย่างไรแก่ท่าน จะให้ชมท่านหรือ ในเรื่องนี้ข้าพเจ้าจะไม่ขอชมท่านเลย
22What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly, and put them to shame who don’t have? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.
23เพราะว่าเรื่องซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้มอบไว้กับท่านแล้วนั้น ข้าพเจ้าได้รับจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า คือในคืนที่เขาทรยศพระเยซูเจ้านั้น พระองค์ทรงหยิบขนมปัง
23For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.
24ครั้นขอบพระคุณแล้ว จึงทรงหักแล้วตรัสว่า "จงรับไปกินเถิด นี่เป็นกายของเรา ซึ่งหักออกเพื่อท่านทั้งหลาย จงกระทำอย่างนี้ให้เป็นที่ระลึกถึงเรา"
24When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”
25เมื่อรับประทานแล้ว พระองค์จึงทรงหยิบถ้วยด้วยอาการอย่างเดียวกัน ตรัสว่า "ถ้วยนี้คือพันธสัญญาใหม่ด้วยโลหิตของเรา เมื่อท่านดื่มจากถ้วยนี้เวลาใด จงดื่มให้เป็นที่ระลึกถึงเรา"
25In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”
26เพราะว่าเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายกินขนมปังนี้และดื่มจากถ้วยนี้เวลาใด ท่านก็ประกาศการวายพระชนม์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจนกว่าพระองค์จะเสด็จมา
26For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
27เหตุฉะนั้น ถ้าผู้ใดกินขนมปังนี้และดื่มจากถ้วยขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าอย่างไม่สมควร ผู้นั้นก็ทำผิดต่อพระกายและพระโลหิตขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
27Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28ขอให้ทุกคนพิจารณาตนเอง แล้วจึงกินขนมปังและดื่มจากถ้วยนี้
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
29เพราะว่าคนที่กินและดื่มอย่างไม่สมควร ก็กินและดื่มเป็นเหตุให้ตนเองถูกพิพากษาโทษ เพราะมิได้เล็งเห็นพระกายขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
29For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.
30ด้วยเหตุนี้พวกท่านหลายคนจึงอ่อนกำลังและป่วยอยู่และที่ล่วงหลับไปแล้วก็มีมาก
30For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
31แต่ถ้าเราจะพิจารณาตัวเราเอง เราจะไม่ต้องถูกทำโทษ
31For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.
32แต่เมื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงทำโทษเรานั้น พระองค์ทรงตีสอนเรา เพื่อมิให้เราถูกพิพากษาลงโทษด้วยกันกับโลก
32But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33พี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า ด้วยเหตุนี้เมื่อท่านมาร่วมประชุมรับประทานอาหารนั้น จงคอยซึ่งกันและกัน
33Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34ถ้ามีใครหิวก็ให้เขากินที่บ้านเสียก่อน เพื่อเมื่อมาประชุมกันท่านจะได้ไม่ถูกพิพากษาลงโทษ ส่วนเรื่องอื่นๆนั้นเมื่อข้าพเจ้ามาข้าพเจ้าจะแนะนำให้
34But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
